Is it possible to get a Thunderbolt cable and MagSafe 2 combined as that provided with the Thunderbolt Apple monitor, and, if so, it will work with the LG monitor? My goal is to use the wire, rather than two, to the Macbook and the connection of the screen.

I don't believe it.  The built-in Apple cable is their unique design.

A monitor will be visible, but the resolution, which says VS. resolution goes up to 1920 x 1080, but don't not appear in the configuration menu. They have a work around with a PC, but have not been able to find one on the Mac side.

Does anyone else have this problem and/or a possibility of soling it? We have tried to use a PC, but could not work there either. Hoping someone has an idea.

Look for your model iMac tecniques and match the closest resolution to you on your screen. For example, in the http://www.apple.com/imac/specs/ camera and video section, you will find the available output resolutions.

If you see some kind of error message, then it would be much more informative to post rather than immediately jumping to jump of paranoid conspiracy theory.  If you see no messages about it here then probably it is something very specific to your installation because I do not know there are tens of thousands of people out there using non-Apple monitors.

  • Make a translation specific LR of monitor in the laboratory?

I am new to Lightroom and did not dare in PS again. I just upgraded from a Mac Book Pro, iMac. I have a calibrator screen Spyder Pro5 and I used it to calibrate my monitor. Thinking that I was ready, repaired a few photos of the beautiful landscape (shot on Nikon D810 in RAW) and exported and then uploaded to the Photo of the Bay. Impressions approached back on color by far on the density. After a few emails back and comes with the support of the Photo of the Bay, I had the note below. Clearly, I don't want to give up my iMac nine, so there the advice of others to help me?

    Bay Photo e-mail:

We do not recommend using Apple-brand monitors for calibration printing. They are designed to make the images on-screen pleasant to the eye: contrast, saturation high and bright. The result is the user in compensation because of these attributes - the images on the screen will appear always brighter and more vibrant color correction-no prints will be.

    Here are some recommended monitors:

    Recommendations:

EIZO ColorEdge series, starting at ~ $1000
    NEC - P, PA - or SpectraView series, starting at ~ $600
Series ASUS PA, from ~ $400
Dell UltraSharp PremierColor series, starting at ~ $500

In general, a good monitor, designed for a rendering of the colors accurate, must have the following characteristics:

    Resolution: 1920 x 1080px or better (16:9 or 16:10 aspect ratio)
Contrast ratio: 1000: 1 or better
Color support: 1.07 billion colors or more
Viewing angle: 178 ° or better

The little Apple monitors is pure BS! Your problem is your laboratory whose color is not very successful (bet that they require to send you documents to sRGB; awful).

You want to match a print view, here is a video to walk if she. Yes, Eizo and SpectraView are a reference display system much better that what Apple offers, but you must all properly calibrate them for a match. • Graphics card for Apple Cinema Display on windows 27 "

    Hi Forum Hardware,

I just bought a new Apple 27 '' LED Cinema Display to my Windows computer. In South Africa, there seems to be no available adapters and the opinion I have of the internet seems to be that the evolution of my graphics card to one that has a 'mini display port' for the monitor is a better option than to an adapter.

You kindly me has helped build my windows computer a year ago and my understanding at the time was that the configuration must be balanced. Could you help me to choose a graphic card with a "mini display port" that complement my setup (or improve) and at the same time would have the necessary Mini display for the Apple monitor port. There are a few confusing information on the internet, which implies that the Apple 27 "monitor connection option, which I think might be true in the past, but the latter being only a mini display port.

, I use my computer mainly for video in Premiere Elements editing as well as stills edit in Photoshop CS5 and Lightroom 4. At some point, I can move to Premiere Pro.

I used a card nVidia GTX 560Ti with a Dell US2711 graphics 27 "monitor. I repeated the screen problems crashing and recovery. Error message read something like "nVidia has detected a problem and needs to close." Above all, he didn't plant the software, just the screen. I just got the graphics card drivers updated with a clean install and we hope that it can fix the problem that I intend to transfer the GTX 560Ti graphics card in another computer, but I feel worried for the next purchase of the graphics card. Is there any advantage to keep the 560Ti in my computer graphics card, but also the new graphics card with the mini display port? I remember that there is also integrated in my configuration graphics. I was wondering if the two graphics cards could have compatibility problems.

I read that these very high resolution screens, 2560 x 1440 pixels, gave some people problems slow down their computers. It would be a graphics card problem? I would rather err on the side of more power than less energy I spend a lot of time to video editing. Very frustrating if the computer is slow or crashes.

    My Windows computer:

    CPU: Sandy Bridge i7 - 2600K

    Motherboard: GA-Z68XP-UD4

    RAM: 4 x 4 GB DDR3 - 1600

    PSU: Corsair Pro Gold AX850

CPU cooler: Cooler Master H212 EVO

    Windows 7

The supplier declares that he has the following graphics cards which have ports mini display. I asked on nVidia cards, he said he didn't have any in stock. If none of the three below works well, it would be easier for me, but if you have any other suggestions that would be better, I'd rather hunt further for the cards. I live in the country but may order of the city. Or a map of lower end with mini display port, as well as my old card GTX 560Ti would be better?

    In stock at the supplier:

MSI Twinfrozr OC 3 GB Ram R7950

ATI Radeon MSI OC 2 GB Ram R7870

    Radion HD 7850

I would appreciate your help again.

    Kind regards

    Linda Collison

    Linda,

With your i7 - 2600K, 16 GB of memory and I hope a good Setup, I suggest you:

    • GTX 660 it if you overclock the system to about 4.2 GHz and have at least 4 drives
    • GTX 660 if you overclock a little
    • GTX 650 it boost if you have disks of 3 or less and use the savings for an extra drive
    • GTX 650 it so you do not overclock and have records of 3 or less AND you usually export to the same dimensions as your source material, so there is no scaling.

If regularly you export to other dimensions of the image, i.e. 1920 x 1080 to DVD and scaling is still present, then go for the next best card, for example instead of a big boost GTX 650 it, look at the GTX 660.

As Alex said, it makes no sense to spend too much on a single component, when it is supported by other components. That's why these fucking directions.

I thought a lot about this kind of questions, since they pop up so much and I collect my thoughts on this for some sort of decision table, which allows people to choose the base system they use, the nature of their raw material, the kind of editing they do and exports they need. The problem, however, is to make all of these interdependent factors appear in a simulation of what if that makes sense to people. Don't forget, we're not Professor Eppes in Numb3rs, so (auto-regressive integrated moving average) ARIMA modeling with Cholesky decomposition is not feasible.

  • The computer monitor calibration

    Hi all

Since then, I am now seriously Pre Pro and AE, I think its time to overcome the uncertainty about how to calibrate.   The only thing I have to judge the color of my work is my computer screens and television when I burn a DVD.

So I am looking for any advice during calibration.  I use an Apple monitor and an old HP 72 monitor to my second screen.

When show controls in system preferences, I was wondering does choose any particular resolution made for a display better or more accurate video on the monitor.

My Systerm preferences color screen has 5 display profiles including the one I created with the calibration Assistant: (1) Cinema HD (which I created after you have used the wizard of Cailibrator);    (2) adobe RGB (1998).   (3) generic RGB profile;   (4) D8904CN21 HP (my second monitor); and (5) sRGB IEC61966 - 2.1

    Which one should I use?

    Thank you

For video work, always leave the default sRGB. Everything else would be just tilt the color any more away. Yet, without a proper calibration device, which is going to be perfect, either. You screen brightness could be a basket case, could have set the color in 1 million other places on the monitor or the graphics card and so on... It really comes down to measure on your screens and create a color profile for them. So, if you are really interested, at least borrow a Spyder, EyeOne, Colormunki or similar to see, once how your screens should actually look like, when they are 'neutral '.

  • How can I get back to the system before iOS 10?

I think personally that the new system of iOS 10 and its new features have no taste at all.  It makes you feel that you were using the Android system because of its lack of elegance and simplicity. The new screen blocked look so cheap and I am very disappointed because one of the reasons why I liked so much Apple monitors were simple but yet so refined features and he had. Its a thumbs down for Apple this time.

As has always been the case, you cannot go back.

  • How to make Garland dell p2715q and p2415q with macbook pro

I bought 2 Dell montors, the P2715Q and the P2415Q, with DP in and drawers for chaining. I use the mini DP to DP of the cables provided with the monitors. They do not only mirrored between them and the Garland. I can, however, connect the two cables DP minis on ports 2 Thunderbolt on my MB Pro 13 "2015 Early and both monitors to display as independent observers in the display preferences, no problem. The only thing is that daisy chaining them does not work. Any suggestions or solutions?

    Early 2015 13 "Pro MB, 8 GB RAM, Core i5 2.9

    10.11.6 OSX

To my knowledge, OS X is the limit. He has never supported other than own Apple Thuderbolt poster chaining.  You can do a quick web search to see if it has changed, but this question has been around for years and I've never known anyone to get 1.2 DP chaining to work with something other than Apple monitors.

  • Choose a bluetooth for mac and iphone speaker

I want a bluetooth speaker (low price) that will allow me to:

    1. listening music classic on iTunes and, ideally, iPlayer Radio for catch-up programs (iPhone)

    2. listen to Internet radio stations and podcasts (iPhone)

    3. an increase in sound for watching movies (Mac Airbook).  I have a big Apple monitor in my study, but when the grandchildren come, watching movies on my airbook or ipad in the living room, they need more of her.

Portability isn't a problem because it is for use around the House, and I'm not interested by using outside.

I don't really understand on the technology bluetooth, but just enough to know that I have to be careful to buy a speaker that can perform these functions (who already have speakers of Sonos, which cannot be used for movies). I have the impression that the software is as important as sound quality?

I've been looking online (I live in the country, far from any shops) to the Bose Mini II, Audio Pro Addon T3 and also wonder about Sony andHarmon Kardon.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Hey there, Frances,.

  • Suggestions for external display for MacBook Pro?

    Hello

Any suggestions on a nice external monitor I could use with my MacBook Pro for mid-2012? I expect something in the range 27 ".

    Budget is $ 300 - $400 (US).

    Thank you.

I love LGs and Samsungs for the reliability and the quality of the image.  I have a 8 years 1680 x 1050 Samsung who has only problems with its VGA input (probably due to the resistance of signal source more than monitor).  My monitor HD LG of 4 years is clear using the DVI input.

Some suggest that Apple monitors, and I won't argue with them.

  • GarageBand too slow disk or system overload

    Hey all,.

Awhile back I posted this same problem and never had an acceptable answer or solution.  No other threads on this topic have contributed to the other.  For about 6 months now, I get this error message in Garageband reading projects.  The activity monitor shows a lot of free RAM and while GB uses 30% of the CPU, I have nothing else running, and therefore to have 60% of CPU still free.  I do not use an excessive amount of plugins, or even the tracks.  I tried to minimize the software titles, but even that seems to have no effect.  In the most recent case, I have only a race.

To start with, here are my system specs:

    Mid-2012 15 "MacBook Pro

    OS 10.11.2 El Capitan

    GarageBand 10.1.0

500 GB hard drive (200 GB free)

    2.3 GHz i7 processor

    8 GB 1600 RAM MHzDDR3

I bought this computer with Snow Leopard and 4 GB of RAM and the latest version of Garageband.  I could play the tracks on the slopes and the use of plugins and never had this problem - never ONCE until the BONES and the GB have been upgraded.  Does anyone have new solutions for this?

I have the same problem. He arrived only after an automatic update of the GB. Apple monitors this forum, that this message had no response in 3 days? GarageBand is now effectively useless for me.

I have a macbook pro and have an audio backing track and track a guitar running, which stops after 10 seconds saying too slow disk etc. No other programs are running. The same file ran fine before the update of GB.

    Please help Apple!

  • iMac - screen Calibration two iMacs

    Hello everyone

Someone has advice or tips on how to use the utility of calibration of apples own monitor? I am trying to get two iMacs look even.

We have two iMacs at work, one is a 27 inch (end 2013) and the other is a brand new 27 inch Retina. Both are 3.2 GHz Intel core i5, and the two are running OSX 10.11.2. We do not work for printing (for the moment anyway) but I don't want the two screens to look the same, that we work together on the same projects. We cannot extend to a material standard, so I tried to use the Apple monitor calibration utility. In addition, I find it really hard to use, (give me a real headache squinting at the thing tiny apple!) it produces completely different results.

I realize that the new is a Retina display and also has a different graphics card, (an older AMD Radeon R9 M380, the other has a NVIDIA GeForce GT M 755) and so they are different, but I thought that calibration should at least have their similar but they are miles! I have the color of background on a dark - gray middle on both, but they look just so different.

I tried a demo of SuperCal but came out shocking! He made the model of the retina really dark and yellow!

Anyone has any advice or know one better material another utility that could produce better results?

    Kind regards

    David

First of all, I wouldn't touch the settings of the retina. Your best chance is to play with the settings on the older iMac. The problem is the iMac of the retina is so much better, it will be impossible to match the two.
