  No it should not be modified in TARGET. in the file system TARGET will remain same as source.

  One of the issues that you may encounter when you do this clone is addressed in the following note:

  Other that the above, you should be able to run the clone if you follow the steps described in the note and consider the restrictions.

  I always get error when cloning time 2 CRP in the same server instance due to duplicate exist in the OraInventory folder.

  How to avoid it? My solution is to manually delete the entries in the xml file that is pretty hard to do because you might accidentally delete the wrong pairs of lines.

  Can I use the deregistration of control?

  For example:

  If none of the mentions above Oracle Home are already enrolled in the Oracle inventory, you can run the following command to unregister or detach that Oracle Home:

• Cloning EBS R12.2 run and patch editions

  Hi all

  I noticed that when I do cloning EBS R12.2, I cloned two race and records editions patch (fs1 and fs2) with identical content but different port pool game.

  My question is, because they have different ports, I can start editions both the two? Start or any of them and use alternately?

  Yes you can start the services of two file systems (use "forcepatchfs" for the patch file system), but users should be accessing the file system to run only. Start services on the patch file system is required for certain tasks that are usually documented (examples, (1375769.1), (1590356.1) and (1530033.1)).

  I cloned my applTier, but it took so much time and hanged.

  When I restarted the failed clone, I get error of inventory:

  I tried to unregister the existing oracle_homes, but I got by using the error:

  The pointer of the inventory is to /etc/oraInst.loc

  I have created/cloned two instances CRP (8010) and UAT (8020) on the same server.

  The CRP is accessible by (firefox 41 or ie11) & java 8.60 and the form of java open correctly.

  Before opening the forms, he first asks the following prompts warning:

  

  Run with the latest version allows the browser to open the forms.

  But the UAT instance is accessible, but it cannot open the forms of java. Because it has not displayed the warning above.

• Server vs CRP EBS R12.2 UAT

  OEL 6

  1. we have new servers of CRP and UAT of installation.

  2 we install all the required RPM based on the two servers based on the notes 1330701.1

  3. after that, I cloned the instance of PROD on both servers of the CRP UAT.

  4. cloning works very well on the CRP but gets the error on the UAT. 

  
  

  Is there a tool to compare the RPM of the two servers?

  Can you tell me what process produced this backup? And I can use them for restoration?

  In fact, when I do after cloning I delete the first entries in the invtory, so I have created my own backup, which is the last row in the list above.

  Inventory.XML: it contains houses Oracle which installed and registered in this central inventory.xml.

  If the process that updates the details home Oracle inventory takes backup of existing inventory.xml.

  In the event that your inventory is corrupted then previous backup can help you to identify/re-attach the ORACLE_HOME saved earlier with your central inventory details.

  Cloned target database TEST1 TEST2 source RMAN full backup database. But the access to the url https EBS R12.1.3 leads to "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage"?

  AutoConfig results on DB and Apps Tier and also ran ojspcompile, but still the same issue.

• DMZ Instance EBS R12 - Login Page cannot be displayed

  Hello everyone,

  Clone an instance of EBS R12 on RHEL 6 and put on 2 new DMZ VM for iSupplier. At through different files, change the server names to reflect the new DMZ servers, and headed autoconfig. When I try to hit the new url of DMZ, it runs for a few seconds and then said: cannot display the page. I decided to take the new balancer DMZ of the equation and just point all the URLs on the host name of the server and run the autoconfig, but still the same thing. In the access log, it says:

  Anyone know where it's getting this wrong place and how to change?

  No, it is not possible, the clone requirement is the source and target must be compatible to the binary format.

  I use ebs r12 12.1.3 and unique db 11.2.0.3 on OUL5x64
  database using OMF file system
  cloning of database level using quick clone and still get this error.
  
  RMAN-03009: failure of the backup command on the channel ORA_DISK_1 at 14/12/2012 11:26:10
  ORA-01276: cannot add files u01/clone/DB/data/stage/o1_mf_system_8cldc5bg_.dbf. File has a file name of Oracle managed files.
