  I worked on a project where I mix a variety of objects and animations.  I do animations animate on board.  The problem I have is that when the user clicks the button pause on the Captivate playback controls, the oam file do not pause.  I found descriptions of how I can make an animation to play/pause the Captivate timeline button on board, but I can't find anything on the use of the Captivate pause button to control the Edge file animate.  Discussions only that I managed to find on that seem to be the answer.  Someone had a bit of luck with this question?

  OK, it's a bit hacky, but it works quite to control the main timeline object in a file of edge of Cape Town, where the Edge file has been imported to Cap 9 as a Web (oam) object. I went seeking answers same like you and came from vacuum, then start to tinker myself and came across the following method.

  In your dashboard file click the support of Actions for the stage object in the timeline and select the compositionReady event. Paste this code into the text window:

  Cap incorporates the Edge file in an iframe on the page that has its own document window. In order to communicate between base ceiling windows and the iframe, we use the postMessage call. So when you hit your button Pause/Play in Cape Town, he publishes an event to the function that gets recorded in the iframe on board. And in the event.data is the string we send above the Cap base window in the function postMessage ('play' or 'pause').   Hello, I have a dashboard project animate that runs and displays well in Edge, but once published, some of the svg graphics appear only intermittently in a browser. For example, it displays well in Chrome a moment, but then a few minutes later, when I go back exactly the same file (same version) in the same browser (same version) svg graphics disappear. See the example below. In this case do not display Snow Hill, the body and the Penguin hat.

  I would like to add that in Firefox it plays perfectly, graphics chrome appear intermittently and in Safari without animation poster at all - only the background image. On my iphone display graphics intermittently with no. and on Android sound, the animation is slow at first but plays with no sound.

• Bad Table of contents appears in the help file when published

  I have four on my Web server help files. When I try to access these files help, good welcome page appears, but the Table of contents that appears in the help file is the Table of contents of an another help file. My other help files work fine. Anyone who has ever met a similar problem and how to solve? It acts as the projects were merged, even if I never said to RoboHelp to do.

  Had to remove all of the help files on the Web server and republish. This seemed to fix the problem.

• EDGE file will not correctly work DPS! Any ideas on what I could do?

  I built an EDGE file up to the size of a layout of iPad full screen (1024 X 768), with a few elements that animate it. I set up correctly and, published "animate Deployment Package. However, when playing in DPS, there is a hesitation (or delay), then, a white - stop in action - then the animation plays very well. I've not coded late or stops.

  I think I know what you're talking about.

  Try the following steps.  First of all in Indesign set your auto play animation and set a deadline for 0.125.  I talked with Adobe and they will set a guideline always have a 0.125 for animations created with Edge delay.  Second, make sure you check "Transparent background" and "scale content worthy."  The good thing is that it is full screen and set to 1024.

  When I publish my files dashboard sometimes it me re - save the document.  For example, after I selected a directory to publish my file I touched the button publish and then back in my edge file sometimes I see an asterisk sometimes that I don't have.  When I see it, I click on save.  I'm doing something wrong?  I noticed that if I run the page several times, go into the settings of publication, then click on save to a few times then hit publish the asterisk disappears.  Also, is it bad do not publish the edge file?  I could simply but all the files on the server and everything works well :/

  Just inserted compostion edge animating in Dreamweaver. The native animation and the buttons work well in DW. Thus, when the button is clicked, it turns, but it should also play a sound. I inserted copies of these media items in the same folder in the hope it would fix the link, but it does not work.

  So, here's how it works...

  The .oam file picks up its assets in a folder called edgeanimate_assets, which is generated as part of the edition.

  Either:

  1. copy your multimedia files to the appropriate location in the edgeanimate_assets folder. (recommended)

  OR

  2. change the current location of the .oam file.

  You can make DW by changing site settings, therefore:

  site > manage sites > select your site.

  on the left, select Advanced settings > active edge animate > choose the folder that contains your assets animate. (did not work for me, but good luck!)

• TDMS files viewer and view the contents of the DDHN does not give the same answers.

  I am hoping that there is a simple explanation for this problem.  If I use the PDM File Viewer, it can successfully open my data files large experiment.  The contents are listed without any problem.  Now, if I use the VI of PDM list content, I expect to see the names of groups and channels without data in an indicator.  Instead, I get only 1 group and its associated channels.  Why this discrepancy?   I have a corrupt host file and 2 host files have now for some reason any. What to do to fix this?

  After explaining all this several times, here are some notes:

  The hosts file is a read-only file, hidden system.  It is just a text file that you can manipulate with WordPad, Notepad or any text editor.  Before you modify the hosts file, make a copy of the current in case you need to restore the original.

  The hosts file is (or should be) a file read-only, which means that if change you it, you will not be able to save the changes until you remove the read only attribute of the file.

  You may be able to create a new one or reset your hosts with Microsoft Help file:

  http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/972034 (this does work as expected the last time I tried).

  If you use the Fix It from Microsoft, you will have no hosts file when you're done (which is not necessarily a bad thing) so you can just read and follow the instructions to find out how to fix it yourself.

  Some third-party software analysis tools (like Spybot) may add entries to the hosts file on purpose to block your browser from loading WWW websites completely or block ads from certain sites WWW.  They claim to have a list of sites that most of the people want to block and insert them into your file hosts for you.  You can always delete the entries in the hosts file manually if you wish.

  Another good option to block ads sites is to use Firefox with the Adblock Plus extension (it is updated regularly with new sites).  If you use that combination, you don't have to worry about your hosts file and these two together really do a good job.

  Malware can also add entries in the host file to redirect the browser to another site than the one you really want to visit WWW.

  For example, if you try to browse to www.google.com, you can find yourself on a WWW site that is inappropriate or simply an advertisement for a product you never heard and do not want.  Your browser will always be redirected away from www.google.com until correct you the hosts file.

  The malware can also modify your hosts file to block your browser to go to Web sites where you might find a solution for how to remove the malicious software.  The malware sometimes knows what you're going to try to find and remove, so it will prevent you to do so.

  If your hosts file has been manipulated by malware, edit the hosts file does not remove the malware.  You will still need to scan your system with software tools to make sure that the malware has entirely disappeared.

  Malware analysis tools can also remove the malicious software and leave the bad entries in the hosts file.  Analytical tools cannot tell if the entries in the file hosts were made on purpose or by malware you still may need to edit the file hosts manually in case of redirection of the browser once the malware has been removed.

  Some analytical tools will report changes to the hosts as a suspect file and allow you to review the changes and allow you to decide whether the changes are appropriate, and to take action.

  Sometimes, analytical tools cannot tell if the entries in the hosts file have been put there by malicious software or you put there on purpose so cannot do not report any problems with the hosts file.  This does not mean that the hosts file has not been adjusted by malicious software.

  A hosts file is not required for your browser to operate.  If you suspect a problem with the hosts file, you can rename the hosts file and test your browsing without it.

  Always reboot your system and the navigation test after making changes to the hosts file.

  To manipulate the hosts file, you need to make hidden files not hidden and remove the attribute only read the hosts file.

  In Explorer, navigate to the following folder (assuming that Windows is installed on your C drive):

  c:\Windows\system32\drivers\etc

  The host file is usually a single reading, so to change it, you must remove the read-only attribute:

  Make a right-click the hosts file, properties, uncheck the box that says:

  Read-only

  Click OK.

  Now you can edit the hosts file with a text editor (Notepad, Wordpad).  Be sure to save the hosts file after any changes.

  You will need to decide what is in your hosts file.  The default hosts file has only one entry (and a lot of comments) so if you think that the hosts file are the part of your question, you can remove all but the default entry and save the file.

  Always reboot your system and the navigation test after making changes to the hosts file.

  You should make hosts read-only folder again when you are finished making changes.  Obviously some programs or malware do not pay attention to the attributes of a file read-only, but it is advisable for the host file to be unalterable.

  If you want to, reverse explore changes to hide system files and extensions of known file types.

  If you think your hosts file is irretrievably, replace the contents with the default values of Windows.

  The default for Windows XP hosts file looks like this:

  There are places on the Internet to download information to your hosts file which is based on what other people think your hosts file must block or allow for your Internet browsing.  Sometimes that works very well, but you now need to know more on the manipulation of the hosts file now so that you can decide what's best for your environment.

  WMP 11 is not supported with built-in support for M4P and M4A (MPEG-4 audio) files. For the support of library and the tag for the latter, you need to install the plug-in in WMP Tag Plus .

  Note that M4P files are protected against copying, if WMP will probably not be able to read them.

  The recovery partition is set by default to have very little free space_and has no negative effect on it or system. However, if you use it to back up files, it could fill to capacity. Do not use for backup. You can also check to see if the System Restore monitors the partition, if so, turn it off. Whatever you do, do not compress the partition. Doing so will serve as recovery to stop working.
