  I have an interactive pdf in indesign with animation, works very well when they are exported to the swf file.

  I need to use more complex animations that Indesign has, so I created some new features of Adobe Edge animate, exported save them as a file .oam and then put them in the Indesign file.

  If I use the Preview on the animation tab I see indesign animations and the edge, but if I export it to a SWF file is - this only animation to indesign working, and if I export to epub file is only the edge animation work.

  Somehow it is possible to export so that the two works of animation types. and it is possible to do it in a SWF file.

  Hey all - we do a DPS app and each page has a small animation - we export as files oam. The first of in that we have worked very well. But if reproduce us page and put in the same exact animation on the next page, it won't play.

  We had problems with the sometimes loading animations and sometimes they are not.

  for what it's worth - oam files are 1024 x 768, transparent background, auto run without user intervention.

  OK - I want to close this thread... I had a dialogue with Bob Levine (aka Mr. Magic)

  SO, this is what worked...

  (1) instead of being using oam files, we used the HTML files.

  (2) we take our animations play immediately - put us en.008 instead of playing instantly.

• Question: Edge of InDesign to DPS

  QUESTION:

  I've created an animation on board with colorful, draw circles on the edge. I placed the .oam in InDesign and added the article to Folio Builder, then previewed. The animation works well but the circles appear as squares. Everything looks okay in a web browser, but viewing in Adobe Content Viewer, circles is now places. Is there a solution next to recreate the circles in photoshop as outlines and Edge implementation?

  In fact, it works fine on the device (ipad). Just a glitch in the Viewer.

  I can't find an answer to this, so apologies if it has been covered before.

  I saw the video on setting up of parallax scrolling in Muse that seems simple enough, but I would do the same in InDesign for a report to be viewed on an iPad.

  Is it possible purely in InDesign or should be put in place in the Muse first before being imported/place in the InDesign document? Is this possible?

  Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.

  There is no Parallax feature in Indesign, and in recent weeks the Parallax of muse is not very tactile friendly, so even import in indesign give you mixed results.

  You can get pretty easily parallax with edge animate and there are a number of demo from around you show how.

• InDesign DPS: Simple Animation does not work in 'folio '?

  I'm building a recipe simple app using InDesign CS6, using the tools of digital publication.

  On one page, I applied an animation, "fly from bottom" in the subject.

  When I finally build the folio and view it on my ipad with the Adobe Content Viewer, the animation does not work on this page.

  I looked at a few tutorials on the use of the animation tools, how to set the path, etc. but none of them mention any other measure for the animation to work once you build the folio.

  Am I missing something?

  InDesign animations are not supported in DPS. They are only SWF.

• What is the feature of edge pin InDesign?

  InDesign has orders "pin edge up, down, right, left" under keyboard shortcuts > editing objects.

  I put a few keyboard shortcuts for these commands, but I can't say what they are doing! I expect to set an object reference point, but it's not.

  There seems to be that NO documentation for these no online ordering.

  Anyone know how to use them?

  Sarah and I looked set to it.  What is happening is that your external JavaScript files are not be included in the OAM package, which is an issue we know and study for a future version of Animate.

  First of all, I have a corrected version of the file OAM here:

  Let me know when you get to that I can remove it.

  Please note that whenever you publish, it will blast away the changes I made to the OAM file so that it can work.

  In the meantime, you can learn how to decompress and to hand modify the OAM.  Darrell Heath has a note on it which will help you get started:

  You'll also need to edit the XML files in the CAO to condition your JavaScript files, so the best thing to do is to copy the file page11tree_oam.xml of assets / directory in the OAM I downloaded to your new OAM packet when you are ready to test.  Then, just rezip the folder, change the extension in OAM and paste it into InDesign.

InDesign can include of these sovereign wealth funds in the documents published to the iPad?   I don't mean with a ton of hard coding, either. 

  Also, I could put a forum on my website. InDesign are something like an iFrame in my document, so that people can see my forum through the app?

  Yes, you can use an overlay of web content to view the site, but before start you on this you should most definitely get acquainted you not only with the DPS, but with Apple requirements for applications submitted to them.
