  Yes. Simply define a site in DW, using the FTP connection to the old site information, sign in to the site, download all files and change now.

  1 I need to move the site to a new computer. Maybe a mac, maybe a pc, but either way I need to find the Domain.sites file, but it is invisible (I'm os10.11.6). I've seen the stuff to put "chflags nohidden ~/Library" in the terminal, but nothing I never in the terminal seems to work... (not that I'm often trying). I am a mac user. Terminal is foreign to me. and I typed in it, but still can't find Domain.sites...

  2 obviously iWeb is long gone. Is there a current mac program that will open my old site for editing? If this isn't a pc program?

  3. and if all else fails, please can someone recommend something as simple and elegant as iWeb I can copy and paste the 60 pages of hard-working content, so that I don't have to reformat and rebuild links... !! ??

• Firefox keeps displaying old site, ff mobile detects the new site. How can I make Office go to the new site?

  I moved my site from the old host of godaddy. updated the dns at register.com. On my phone android with firefox, I can see the new site, after I dropped the wifi and went to the data. On my desk and my husband two computers, we can only see the old site, even after clearing cache. How can I make Firefox displays the new site?

  You can reload webpages and ignore the cache to refresh potentially stale or corrupt.

  • Hold down the SHIFT key and click the Reload button
  • Press 'Ctrl + F5' or 'Ctrl + Shift + R' (Windows, Linux)
  • Press 'Command + shift + R' (Mac)

  You can delete all data stored in Firefox with a specific area through "Forget this Site" in the context menu of a history entry ("" history > view history "or" view > sidebar > History "") or via the subject: permissions page.

  Using "Forget this Site" will delete all data stored in Firefox in this area as bookmarks, cookies, words of past, cache, history, and exceptions, so be careful and if you have a password or other data from that domain you don't want to lose then check that back up these data or make a comment.

  You can't recover from this "forget" unless you have a backup of the files involved.

  It has no lasting effect, so if come back you on such a 'forgotten' site, then the data of this Web site will be saved once more.

• Field has been redirected correctly but only Firefox go to the old site

  I built a new website for a client whose domain is registered with GoDaddy. The URL has been updated in GoDaddy and verified with one of their technicians. All other browsers I've tried going on the new site, but Firefox displays always the old site. The domain is http://www.auburnsummermusiccamp.com, the old site was hosted on Google and the new site is at http://www.karlinlouiseimrie.com/auburnmusic/. Firefox is my normal browser so I only tried other browsers when GoDaddy has confirmed that the redirect worked although I still got the old site. I tried to clear the cache and history.

  The URL without www. prefix redirects and presents the new website in an iframe:

  With the www. the prefix I get the old domain, then maybe you should ask to redirect this area as well.

• 301 redirects - how long to keep old site hosting go?

  Hello. We have a company that is about to rebrand itself, so it gets a new website and a new as well domain name, both are sites of Business Catalyst. I did some reading on this and think that I know everything that I have to make about 301 redirects, etc. in order to not lose search ranking. One thing I'm unclear on if, after placing the 301 redirects to direct traffic to the new content to the site, how long the old place accommodation had to be kept going? I read 3 months to a year to keep the 301 redirects in place to ensure indexing.

  I plan to redirect 301 pages from the old site to the new site and then after 3 months (assuming that any good) drop the former host of site (only for reasons of cost at this point) and add the domain name to the new site and will forward it to the new domain name. Can anyone confirm that this is a healthy approach to please, or let me know of any problems they see in my simple plan.

  3 months should be plenty. Make sure you submit the "Change of address" form within the webmaster tools. I think that Katherine Anderson recently made a Sandpile BC on it.

  Use the credentials of your first site when downloading a new. When you upload your site, click "Switch account" top-right in the window "Upload to FTP Host.

• Last update of features not available with the old site file

  Downloaded the latest update with the functions of breakpoint, but when I open an older file, the MUSE desktop looks and works like the old application to MUSE.   But with the same MUSE when I start a new site, all the features are there.  I also noticed that when I went to download most old site after doing some updates in the last MUSE updated app, it worked as a newer site would be using the new features.  In other words, I don't see or have the scroll bar to the right or the other options available for an older site, but if you create a new site.

  Site requiring obviously much update and work to implement the mode of 2016.

  She was made long ago in CS3 and has been updated with this software existing so far.

  New computer on the way - the time to use Dreamweaver CC maybe.

  Site not used for sales, so the pages are very well and has taken years of work and photography.

  -I will be able to transfer site in CC after installation and still have my old pages to work - while gradually working on the layout of 'fluid' etc.?

  HTM is just html, no matter what version of DW can see your actual files.

  Your settings are what you bring through a .ste file. To do this, go to Site > Manage Sites > site of your choice-click > export from your old DW. Then, in your new version, go to Site > Manage Sites > import to bring the .ste file and settings of the location in the newer version.

  If you go to your local files to a new machine, you can copy the file from one hard drive to another site, or you can copy the .ste file, and then import it on the new machine. It will be blank until you connect via FTP, then click on the GET (down arrow) to download the entire site to your server.

  Among the main issues you may have with the new versions of DW and your old code, would be the use of Spry in the old site. Which has been completely removed from the program. You will not have dialog boxes to change this old code and not everything has been replaced with Jquery in the latest versions.

  For what it's worth, you can keep the DWCS3 and the latest CC versions installed on the same computer, in which case you need to go back and work on the points which have been removed, until you get updated with more modern encoding anyway methods.

• How can I replace an old site (unknown host) with a new site of Muse?

So I intend to offer my website, including the replacement... but I don't have an idea how to replace an old site (leave a host I don't even know at this time, but I know...) with a new one.

  If you are completely redefining the site, you can delete all files from the assistance of the host server, and then download a fresh site using the Muse ftp credentials.

• My updates to the Web site and I can see on a phone, but when I try to view them on a computer my old site always comes back

  I have my domain through Godaddy, I created my site through muse, and I use the catalyst of the bus for the accommodation.  I published my new site and when I try to see it from a phone sometimes just how I want.  But when I try to see it from a computer, my old site.  Any suggestions as to what I can hurt?

• Mobile muse site works with an old site of existing office

  I have a lot of customers who want a mobile site to work alongside their former office site.

  I have created a mobile test site Muse and files downloaded into the folder root of my site that exists.

  Muse uses the htaccess file to redirect the domain to the mobile Web site. Who is currently working on the computer desktop and mobile. Not good!

  Anyone know if it is possible to differentiate between the two so the old site works on the desktop and the new mobile site Muse works on phone

  You can link the default domain to the old site and phone to version, this way desktop will still show the old site.
