  Or a new facility and the Type of tool has never worked?

  What is the size of the image in pixels and resolution?  Something that sometimes happens is that people get the wrong units and I think they are pixel setting when it is in fact centimeters.  If you have a low resolution game, like the default 72 dpi, which can cause the tiny text, it might as well be invisible.  This is particularly problematic when the Type is set on Points.  To test simply do a new document with reasonable proportions.  that is 1000 x 1000 pixels, 300 dpi

  Another test is to select the text layer and use free transform, or zoom so you can see if you have a small bounding box.

  If this isn't the question and the text color is not the same as the background, then...

  First step is to reset the preferences.  (The relocation does not overwrite the preferences file).

  Also try resetting subject tools.

  Then uninstall Photoshop and use the cleaning tool before reinstalling.

  When I try to use the text tool, that it does nothing when I type even if the font size is 12, and the color is black on a white background, and then when I try to get out of the text tool a progress bar will appear that says "Record type" and the progress bar does not until 15 minutes later.   It was the procedure on this page:

  -Clear overview of the policies.

  -Delete the specified fonts known to cause trouble.

  -Clear cache fonts photoshop

  -Clear cache OS police

  -Try to remove everything except a font on the Mac and keep the rest in another folder.

  -Use their fonts test script.

  Now the police only that I have in my folder of Mac fonts is Arial.ttf

  I did all these things, and the problem still occurs. All other tools works fine for me! I need to use photoshop for graphics work, I need to do. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  I found the problem! When I pressed 'File' > 'New' to make a new document, I typed in the 1000, but I'm used to the measures in pixels, not inches. The new facility was in inches lol. The Web was gigantic! Once I put it to a smaller size that the text tool worked great! I feel stupid, I over looked that.

  I just edited the text within a symbol. But when I drag this symbol on the canvas to create a new instance, it does not reflect the changes that I made. Is this a bug or I do something wrong?

  I get just a horizontal line when I'm trying to type a letter in Photoshop CS6.  No predefined, it seems. I used to paint in PS CS6.

  The text tool is set to the same color as the background?  The size of the text is tiny?  Try OKing your line of text and using the free transform to enlarge.

  To do this properly, oepn your image size panel and see what are the linear dimesions of the image.  If it's something stupid like ten miles of 8 miles, and the DPI is set to 1, uncheck resample and change the dpi to something like 300.

  I like to set preferences so that the default format of millimeters (or thumb) category.  This way I can predict what type appears on a document image.

  What are you trying to edit? A comment? Form field? Static content in the file?

  Also, what version of Acrobat are you using and what tool?

  I think I understood. The problem happened when I brought photos

  I had edited in camera raw and I tried to write about them, it did not work,

  but when I started to save them I was able to use the new tool.

  What happened is that I was able to open the tool, but I couldn't see what I

  has been written.

  Does make sense? Sorry for my English, I tried to explanin the best I

  pourrait.

  For example, I want to change the shape of rectangle to oval, press and hold on the shape of rectangle (default) will not give access to the other options of shape.  Or, for another example, the text tool will not allow access to type on a path options.

  Can someone help me on this? I performed a brand new PC and CC (the most recent copy) Illustrator.

  You must copy the picture and paste as a fluid element (!) within the text. A photo lying separately on a text box can not be rolled up.
