Edition of Quiz result Messages

Is it possible to resize the Pass and the result Quiz fail Messages?  The Pass / Fail message seems very small in my project because I did the scores on the summary of the results of the largest quiz page.  This sounds terrible - is it possible to make it bigger?

Thanks in advance.

Hello

I think the answer is simple. I'm guessing that you're referring to the "control zone" presented in the slides, right?

Just to double-click it and define the characteristics of police you want in the dialog box that follows.

See you soon... Rick

  • Captivate 8 customize quiz results message

    Hello

I was given a Captivate file and I need to translate everything for the French. I translated everything, with the exception of a single message on the results of the quiz screen. When the user fails there is a message that displays "Sorry, you failed the quiz" and I need to translate it. I looked everywhere but can't seem to find where to update this message, including under the menu Preferences of Quiz.

How can I change this sentence? What is a variable that controls the message here?

  • Different results Quiz after Quiz attempt message

    Hello

We have an assessment that is fixed at 60 percent, with two attempts. We want to customize the quiz attempts to result message after that learners have reached the limit of quiz.

Captivate does not have a second quiz result message when learners have exhausted their attempts.

The same quiz result message appears twice. We want to have a result message different quiz after the second attempt.

Even the return to the quiz through advanced actions doesn't seem to work.

Does anyone have a possible workaround for this solution?

    We use 6 CP.

    Hello

Action to return to Quiz is supposed to when you get out of the scope of normal question slides (which will extend the dynamic range quiz) by dragging a user in a content slide, recover from this content slide to the question slide that it was before the navigation. If this has nothing to do with your goal. In what context have you tried to use it and how?

Avinash, hope you don't mind when I say that you simply for many, it won't be so easy. User will have to take care also of the "past" situation, and in addition you must hide the text captions that might have been visible in previous situations. And there is still the default Quiz results message that appears if you don't take care of this as well!

    Here is my solution:

    1. Go to the settings of the Quiz, preferences and open "Quiz result Messages", uncheck the two pass/fail messages; normally they would appear in the placeholder review, you can reduce its size, move it, but don't delete it (may cause problems). Configure the other options (such as the number of attempts)
    2. Create captions of text or shapes used as containers of text for each attempt AND the Pass message. put them all to invisible. In the example of the screenshots, I had 3 attempts to Quiz, created 4 text captions: Text_A1, Text_A2, Text_A3 (for 3 attempts) and Text_OK (to succeed)
    3. For the event of the slide from score to enter, create an advanced conditional action with 4 decisions (each has only a part of HERE, no ELSE): first 3 are fail-scenarios, is modified to Pass-scenario. Here are a few screenshots (maybe I'll post with all the screenshots on the blog if I find time today):

  • change the lable in the quiz results tab

I went through my course works like aniticpated, and on-screen quiz results, I can't have the "submit" button to appear.

I have three buttons along the bottom on the last screen to review the results... continue, review of the quiz and then a white button. I tried several different ways to get some words appear on the button. I went through the options quiz and assured on the Quiz results messages that the text of the e-mail button has the words in there I would have shown. The button is on the screen and does what it should, I can't get any word appears on the button.

    Anyone have any ideas?

    Thank you!

Thank you! When I double click on it, it would not allow me add text. I think it was a fluke, so I tried to remove the slide and adding new, and now it's working as I think it should. Thank you very much!!!

  • Custom messages of success and failure on quiz results slide

I'm trying to create a custom message of success and failure on the quiz results slide, using certain colors in the text caption to reflect the brand of our company. I've added a tip action entering the slide, so that if the percentage of quiz is 80% or more, shows message of success and failure message leathers. It seems like it should work, but for some reason, only the fault message views, no matter if I fail or pass. Anyone tried this with any success?

    Thanks for your help!

This button is very important: clicking on it will launch the actions that you define in Quiz preferences, success/failure. Think that it is also mentioned in my blog, when I talk about the score slide. Maybe that you were lucky, but I especially advice to add a line short slide after this slide score, certainly everything is transferred correctly, especially when launched by LMS and many users will do the test at the same time (I have used in a college for some exams). In this case you can set the actions of pass/fail on the issue level «Go to next page»

This thread is marked still unanswered, so I guess it isn't completely resolved?

  • Quiz results: problem with Pass Message and background Image

    Hello

I use v1 and I had a question on the quiz results page. I input a Message goes in the quiz Manager, but not the entire message appears on the Quiz results page. It seems to be cut. Y at - it something I need to do to ensure that everything is displayed or Captivate allowed me to enter a long message in the Quiz Manager, but not display it on the screen of Quiz results.

Also, if I choose a background image it seems to appear on the upper left of the results window. Is there a way I can place this image to appear where I would that he on the results page?

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi Julie88,

First of all, for the long message, your observation is correct. Captivate has allowed to enter long message Quiz Manager, but its actually impossible to view it in the SWF file.

Second, for the image, unfortuantely you can't do Captivate 1. Captivate 2 comes gives you this option. Infact in Captivate 2, you can view the result do drag in the Editor pane and change it as you wish.

  • Quiz results slide - NaN errors in published Captivate 8 content

    Hello

I worked on a number of modules with different content in each, which have a short quiz at the end. All except a beautiful work and the quiz results slide displayed correctly the 'score' and 'max' accordingly.

However, I have a module with an erroneous result reported "0" out of "NaN" and I don't know why it appeared suddenly?

I have been a model for these modules (even if it is true that it has been outsourced - they should always use the same model)

I don't see any obvious difference in the parameters or results between this slide and the other modules - so I'm stuck!

I was wondering if something had gone wrong with the slide therefore results as a test, I copied all the slides except the quiz in a separate model that has worked very well, and then updated the quiz and slides re-edited, still had the same error. This leads me to suspect the content slides are part of the problem. There are some real questions in the content slides / false, which are defined as a "pre-test" type - could these affect something?

I am using Captivate 8.0.3.290 and I checked the result published scorm cloud and our Moodle LMS - same erroneous result.

    I hope someone can help?

    Thank you

    Jon

It is difficult to know what is the problem with this model. I highly doubt that the presence of pre-test slides is the cause. It is perfectly possible to have a pre-test and a Final Quiz in a project. To exclude this possibility: try to create a small project with a test question and a real Question slide, using this same model.  Follow the system variable. What is the result?

You know if this model was created initially to CP8 or is this a version update of a model?

I never delete the review area, although it is used in two circumstances:

    1. For the message of pass/fail on the Score slide
    2. When a question has been ignored (I always feel that issues are considered to be ignored).
  • Why are displayed in preview mode, but not to publish the text slide Quiz results?

The last slide in the project is the standard Quiz results slide. I would like to add a message at the bottom of the slide that says: "Congratulations!" You have completed this training! "When I inserted a text caption with the message, it appeared in mode, overview; However, it does not appear when I published the project. So I tried to insert as a smartshape with added text, but he got the same result.

Any thoughts on what I am doing wrong?

Note also that the Question slides have a suspension point. You must make sure that the object appears before the point of interruption.

    See you soon... Rick

    Hello

You use the wrong system variable. See the list: http://blog.lilybiri.com/system-variables-in-captivate-6

Change it to cpInfoPercentage, this is what contains the percentage scored.

  • Can we remove the button continue to Quiz results?

    Hello world

Is there a way to remove the continue button on the Quiz results page?

I have a captivate file in which there is a slide thank you at the end after than the Quiz results slide. Now, here's the problem - the user is just to finish the quiz and the closure of the browser tab - which does not appear inside the LMS completion status. The user must need to display the slide thank you - so that CMS can answer that the status of "completed."

Now I want to remove the button continue on quiz results slide so that doesnot users to go forward to the next slide to complete the course. And I'll put here the thank you message in single result of the quiz slide.

Can I remove the continue button on the Quiz results page so that it could be the last slide?

    Concerning

    Vikas Sharma

Remove the button continue results Quiz slide is NOT a good idea in my experience.  By clicking the button triggers features continue in Captivate to complete the quiz and post the score to the LMS.  If this button is not checked, Captivate maybe isn't sure that the person has decided that they are finished with the quiz and wants their score to be captured by the LMS at that time here.  There are often other buttons on the Quiz results slide to offer the user the possibility of recovery or to review the Quiz.  Only the continue button is designed to take them further beyond the Quiz results slide.

Like you, I also found learners often fail to grasp the importance of the button continue and do not realize that they must do something extra (beyond to reach the Quiz results slide) so that their score to capture.  So what I usually do is to rename the button continue for something more meaningful like: save your Score, or record Quiz results now.  Have a name like that (and make nice and big button and "BOLD" so that it is not easy to Miss) clearly says to people that they need to click if they want to keep their score.  It's just a simple change, but it has virtually eliminated all the questions we had with people just close their browser when they saw the results of the Quiz.

  • Quiz results page

    Hello

I'm having some problems with the Quiz results slide:

    First, the revisions button quiz always leads to a bad blade and I couldn't find a place for the re - lead;

Second, the number of questions is always one more than the number of actual question.

Can anyone help? Tons of thanks!

    Hello

It helps if you mention the Captivate version you use. I suspect that you have somewhere (on the slide where you return during the examination) an object marked. You can check this in the mode of Interaction advanced (or if you use CP5) that you find in the Project menu. Look on this slide for an interactive object (TEB, click box, button) which has a tied score and where the score is added to the Total. You will need to change so that the score is no longer added to the Total and/or set the score to 0. How depends on your version: in CP4, this view is editable, so you can change in the view of Advanced Interaction. If you use CP5 Panel is connected with the properties, so if you select the object in the view of Advanced Interaction, its properties will appear and you have to look in the area of Reporting of the accordion.

  • Problems emailing quiz results

I am trying to send email quiz results - he does that very well at the end of the quiz, but it sends also a set of "fail" stats on most of the blades, so the person who takes the quiz ends with a pile of e-mail to send messages! I tried different variations of settings in the Quiz Manager, I also tried selecting buttons on the relevant screens and under properties saying I don't want the results of this screen... but I still get them.

I do something really stupid, and is there an easy answer to this?

    Any help gratefully received!

There is a problem with Captivate 2 in this area - the solution seems to lie in the e-learning forum in a thread called 'Report - Email problem' has started on 19/02/2007. I'll go off and try it...!

This is not normal. Can you check Panel Advanced Interaction (F9)? You see questions added to the score he and the correct total score? Are you sure you did insert normal question slides, no check sliding knowledge?
