Effect of more realistic market...

I have a clip where the talent is on foot along a path in the background (filmed in front of a green screen). I currently have the scale of nearly 70% to 90% for a few seconds to give the impression that the actress is following the path. However, his feet seem to drag along the way. I'm looking to find out how to make it look more realistic. I'm a moderate after effects and first user, so I'm ready to try some more advanced effects if necessary. Any suggestions?

No magic. Just a lot of extra keyframes. Change of the depth and the scale is not linear, but exponential function / linked the cosine of the lens. You just need to tweak a lot more, which is ultimately the point with any form of character animation.

Do the film layer 3D. Problem should be solved. You have no 3D elements in the scene. The camera position has no effect on a 2D layer. It would also be useful if your null was 3D.

  • Windows 7 Aero / Glass no effect no more working time

My computer is Windows XP on your main HARD drive. I added another HARD drive and installed Windows 7 Ultimate (32 bit), the feature in question worked but I had problems with fuzzy texts and also I can not set the resolution recommended for my monitor.

I downloaded and installed the drivers for my monitor from the manufacturer's website but since it does not solve the blurred fonts, I tried to find the latest drivers for my card through the Device Manager. I noticed that the version of the driver was older (Date of the driver in the course of 2009) that is used by the computer when I boot it Windows XP (driver of 2010). Even if I tried to update, it says that he already has the latest driver for it. I managed to save the display drivers XP uses and updated Windows 7 with her ("disk," method etc.) and I finally got the resolution which is best for my monitor that makes fonts very sharp and any other clear enough. I then installed the ATI Catalyst Control Center (was struggling so he can install properly - missing. INF file, CCC not launch, etc.) but I managed to make it work in the end.

Unfortunately, I lost Aero / glass effect. Troubleshooting (made sure advanced option 'Applies automatically repairs' is checked) gives me the "current video card can support Aero with a driver that is compatible with the Windows Display Driver Model (WDDM).  Contact the manufacturer of your video card or computer for a WDDM compatible driver. "message and finally the error 'Video card driver doesn't support Aero effects. "I thought it's because the drivers of Windows XP was not intended for Windows 7 I so uninstalled and returned to the former working driver, uninstalled ATI Catalyst Control Center (cleaned all the remains) and reinstalled it but ATI does not find the. INF file so it can't update the drivers. Then, I just reinstalled Windows XP drivers.

    Here are some details:

(After updating the graphics card with the XP ones)

    Adapter type: ATI Radeon X 300/X 550/X 1050 Series

    Driver date: 10/02/2010

    Driver version: 8.593.100.0

Before I updated with drivers that Windows XP uses now, I remember when Aero was still working (but the resolution is bad), the Date of the driver was some time in 2009.  I read about the update of Windows KB2670838 and discovered that I had installed so I uninstalled it but Windows 7 cannot always bring Aero without it. I don't understand why Aero works with a previous version of a driver but not later.

Has anyone met and discovered how fix this problem without having to reinstall the operating system? Or should I really give up Aero and settle for the appropriate monitor resolution?

    Thank you!

    Uninstall the current driver.

Then download from the ATI site: http://support.amd.com/en-us/download on your hard drive.

    Then install.

(Latest version of the driver is 10.2)

  • After Effects (and more) crashing on save directory

Since last week, I'm having the problem that when I save a project, almost all applications creative Cloud crashes at saving.

This happens when I select the folder and the name for the project.

It is very annoying because I can't save new projects. And when I try to make. I also need several trials to select the right folder.

    Hello

After a long period spent on the research and tests, I seem to have found a solution that solves the crash (at least for me), and at least for now "Save as." Apparently, this is a permissions-related problem.

    Here's what I did:

1 - search in the following folder:

    (Windows) \AppData\Roaming \Users\ [username] [drive]

2 uncheck "read only" in the context menu of the folder 'Adobe '.

3 - inside "Adobe" folder deleted the folder of "After Effects" (very important).

4 - restart AE and ' Save as ', after a publishing project does not cause an accident

I found that Adobe may crash on several occasions due to permissions issues and applications, and I would ask the same question:

When is Adobe going to solve the problem of permissions with the Preferences folder?

    Hope this helps you, too.

Here are the details of what I do on these last two videos YouTube that represents how I interpreted your additional explanation of the task you are looking for.

Video data of 30 seconds on Video 1 and the goal of the title with text to wave for 6 seconds and always the version of the title for the 24 seconds remaining.

    First elements 9.0/9.0.1/Windows 7 64-bit

    Standard NTSC DV project

Create your title in the Titler "Nomad welding Table The versatile ' so that it extends from the left of the on the left side of the frame.

Stretch the title on the timeline so that its duration matches the video on video 1 (i.e., 30 seconds).

Highlight the expanded file title and go to its properties Palette/Motion Panel and position the property with her Y and Y values (as I mentioned in a previous post) (high and low) X value remains fixed while we did vary the value of Y (from left to right or from right to left).

We need to determine in advance... Position readings

    a. Y when the last of the text stops just at the right edge (in my case = 1080)

    b. Y when the text goes from right to left and its beginning just touches the left edge. (in my case = 358).

Then move the timeline indicator until the time indicator shows 00; 00; 06 00. Make sure the file title is highlighted, and then use the Clip from Split to cut the file of security at this time.

Then for keyframes for the Position properties for the segment of 6 seconds.

After that begin the creation of keyframes in the Motion Panel expanded, enter 1080 for Y. assured that X is always 240

Press Page Down and press the arrow to the left once to reach the end of the segment 6 seconds. Now enter 358 for Y. assured that X always is 240.

    Restore the timeline content.

With file highlighted title apply progressive wave to the file title via edit header/effects/Video Effects / distortion / wave.

    Restore the timeline content.

Highlight the part still of title (24 seconds) of the content of the timeline and make sure that the value Y = X = 240 and 358.

At this point, everything seems to me from the progressive wave to text no wave. I think that a video transition does not improve. But what you might try is a deceleration for the second keyframe in the second segment 6. For this,.

    Select file title

    The Properties palette

    Motion extended Panel

Click the show keyframes icon in the upper-right corner of the Properties Palette to get a cut of the Motion extended zone Group 2 view.

Look at the limit of the Position property. You should see 2 keyframes there (right). The first key frame is easy to see while the other is located on the right edge of the line. Right-click on what you can see from this second keyframe, select Tempral Interpolation, then progressive and degressive. I don't think it makes a big difference, but see what you think.

I repeated this process several times to test road it. And I have read the above several times the evidence. But check at each stage. Please let me know if you see something that looks like typo or something you need for clarification on.

In my previous posts, please see two YouTube videos sample products with the above.

  • By using WPF effects on graphs

Is anyway to add effects to a shot special chart/plot chart? It does not resemble the standard graphic plot inherits the properties of class of effects. I see that you can change the color of the contour and thickness but no support for the effects.

Basically what I want to achieve, it's add effects to a plot to make it more 'realistic' look (take advantage of some of the hardware acceleration that WPF offers).

I'm trying to recreate an oscilloscope with animated controls and use the reflections and effects to make the "glow" signal, making it almost more aesthetic blur.

Any help on that would be great.

As integrated rendering engines can draw from multiple render targets, the converters do not expose the many options of specific WPF vector effects.

Instead, you can use a converter customized for generating WPF visual effects with fuzzy arbitrary settings and effects, as combinations attached example line.

  • Hologram effect

    Hi there, after effects community!

I'm an aspiring YouTuber who's about to make their first video effects. This implies the creation of holograms made by "Solid" in Adobe After Effects. However, there is a problem. In the attached picture, my hand seems to be under the hologram.

    Untitled.png

I was wondering if there is a way to make them appear on top to make the scene more 'realistic '. I would appreciate it if the photos are included in your answers that I learned more visually! Thank you so much!

    Brual Jeric

Did you watch the last part of the video where he showed you how to duplicate the layer and add a few masking and then rearrange the layers until the cut of the hand because of the virtual screen. This is what is for her. You must duplicate images with your hand, rotoscoping, or the mask of your hand and put the hand hidden above the solid blue. I assume that your hand is moving so you might want to try Roto brush.

Excellent resources on using Rotobrush simply type Rotobrush in After Effects help scope search at the top right, the Rotobrush app angle is not intuitive, so you'll have to go through some tutorials.

  • New ideas or suggestions for the flattening of the effects of layer without changing the appearance

    Hi all

I did a lot of research of ideas on how to make my simpler workflow. I meet regularly with a problem with the layer effects when they are flattened and have been unable to find the right solutions, but I was wondering if any new development came with the new versions of Photoshop that I'm somehow overlooking?

My main problem is that when I flatten layers in sections or groups (i.e. flatten only 2 layers or more together in a larger composition but not the entire compostion), layer with often methods of fusion flatten strangely. I note in particular that with shadows that I often use one color other than black, generally a shade very dark color applied to the element, the shadow is bunk. For me, it gives a much more realistic and natural look. When I flatten a layer I notice it seems to multiply it mode is stripped shadow FX unless they are flattened with nackground element, so if I used a dark blue, for example, once flattened shadow is now a shade of blue separate which appears to be in normal blending mode. I can put this drop shadow layer to multiply to restore it, but then I have to separate the element shadow of drop on its own layer of the body of the other flattened content otherwise she also well multipoy mode inherits of course, which always leaves me with a layer unwanted to deal with.

My monetary solutions vary to hide all other layers and visible fusion, which works for some things, but not the problem of shadow drop above, I will keep as things that just don't work on their own layer separate, like the shadow and just let them be if I can. In cases where this is not an option, I even hide all other layers and model the portion of the DSP which has flattened to a separate TIFF or PNG and re-import the PSD. This will sometimes work around the problem and do everything interact as you wish. It's a matter of confectioners, even if it means mental acrobatics everytime to design a workaround solution that I can use for my purposes.

I need to do often is because I work for a company of web development as a designer. Once the design is sometimes I'm going to cut and prepare it for the web (not a problem when I am doing this because I can leave as a PSD). When the other members of the team as a web developer need access to graphic files if they use Fireworks which means I need a PNG image in layers so they can rip with the software they know while maintaining transparency if necessary.

I know that some will say just to use Fireworks then but this isn't a desirable for me because I find it very restrictive fireworks on the progress of Fx and graphic manipulation. I am agree that Fireworks can be very capable and can do very nice things when you are thinking about the design of the whole site in general, but it can usually do the fx tip and manipulation that I like to use for parts of 'eye candy' of the site, especially when you use mutiple Fx on a layer with their own blending modes. I think it's more complicated to build a general site in Fireworks and import items of Phoroshop. Follow-up to good design and loading constantly the background images of space reserved for photoshop for reference is not for me!

I have a pretty decent understanding of functioning of the flattening of the layer and how the merger of modes function (like the fact that you can't have mutiple modes on a single layer, so many problems with blend modes Fx layer fusion). I'm with CS5.5 Design premium and hope that there was some progress in working with this kind of thing. I know that if I could flatten the layer shadow down with the layer she rides that would solve the question well but this is rarely possible on Web sites where you have fluid areas who need to change the size and the image with the shadow element is not always in the same place on the bottom of the site.

Would be great if, since you have the possibility to apply the individual layer blending modes, if Photoshop could have a setting to somehow flatten the layer effects and layer in it is no self clean process and then place the layer flattened within the PSD as if you imported a transparent image as a TIFF or PNG. That's essentially what I do on the extreme side of tihngs manually if necessary. It would be great if there was a way to automate this type of functionality.

Anyone know of any new or good method to deal with this sort of thing? Sorry for the long post, I tried to be as detailed as possible, I know, it is sometimes easy to misinterpret what someone asking this type of question. Thank you all for taking the time to read/answer!

To answer your specific question, do not have a background.  Adobe has established rules for manipulating combinations of layer if there is no pixel backround of first, and you may find yourself quite reasonable with your transparent throughout the image pixels.  If you save an image in PNG format, for example, when a browser renders the image that it will perform its own process to "overlay" and pixels transparent (or partially transparent) won't do not (or only partially change) the colors of the pixels behind the PNG.

  • Create a realistic shadow?

    Hello

I am creating a realistic shadow under the arrow in the picture and I'm having some problems in Illustrator CS5. Can anyone help / advise me in this draft?Open.jpg

    Thanks, Alex

Draw a gray shape, then effect > Gaussian blur and compose the opacity to a level that you like.
    Start with a gray color as 20my 40 c 50 k
If you need more realistic then you would be better off in photoshop, where you can add some tracking using a linear burn blending mode at the bottom of the almond in this case.
  • Lumetri slows down the encoding of color correction more "obsolete."

Based on my own informal tests, I notice that Lumetri effects on an element in a sequence slows down the process of encoding significantly compared to the same general objective realized with effects of correction of the so-called color "obsolete". Other messages on the forum seem to confirm this.

I guess the older "out-of-date" color correction effects are far from obsolete. Looks more Adobe innovates and push this crowd of material premium to their last, Lumetri, but that the older effects are more obsolete than obsolete, probably to be there for a long time... iow, use them as you wish for you will hit all compat issues in the foreseeable future.

Is that what that sounds right?

My goal by asking is to better align myself as a user of first... my tendency is to take the final product as user recommendations, but that can be a trap when it is really a big innovative push who sometimes material/performance hits that make it unrealistic for all users.

I have a portable old 5 year, the Sony Vaio VPCF215FX w/6 GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce GT 540 M, 1 TB SSD.  I am able to do, but I really need to think intelligently avoiding external USB drives, using smart rendering, etc. When I tried an experiment with older color effects, I saw a significant reduction in the encoding time (General of my test described below). For this reason, I'm stepping back and thinking that the push 'use Lumetri' everything is beautiful for those who really need, want, and also have the material that can reasonably be taken in charge, but maybe not for someone like me, at least if I can avoid using older effects and with all the same. I just can't justify Lumetri in some cases where it slows down encoding medium.

It is not that my hw is unable to use it but when I can use older effects and get a nice discount time coding for my not pro use, seems useful to avoid the Lumetri currently, until the upgrade hw or something. I wanted to just check-in here on the forum because everything above is me in a vacuum, I felt ready to hear some voices from the community on my point of view.

    Oh, my test...

Create two sequences, each with the same single element from the same ~ 60 second clip of Canon EOS 70 d (ALL-I, 1920 x 1080, 23.976 FPS, MPEG-4 AVC / H.264, VBR in.) Container MOV), where each sequence has the following effects of color...

Seq1-UsingLumetri uses the following color effects:

      • Lumetri #1 (primary): globally adjust contrast/tone/WB Correction of basic and secondary HSL to affect parts of the installation image.
      • Lumetri #2 (secondary): none other than the Secondary to affect an object moving on tracks with a circular mask.

Seq2-NonLumetri uses the following color effects:

      • The fast color corrector: adjust overall contrast/tone/WB (identical to what Lumetri No. 1 above is without its Secondary).
      • #1 RGB color corrector: Color Correction secondary only to affect certain parts of the image (the highest Lumetri #1 only secondary HSL what).
      • #2 RGB color corrector: secondary color Correction only affect an object moving on tracks with a circular mask (what does the #2 above Lumetri).

I coded then everyone if above with such parameters as input media, none made smart (because I want to see encoding time with effects) and out of type, etc. The result was that Seq1-Lumetri took about 225 seconds, while Seq2-NonLumetri took about 150 seconds, about 50% more time when using Lumetri on the same ~ 60 second clip entry.

Note, part of the reason why I'm here is to ask my question above one, sort of general/summary, but it is also based on my not not having seen a single Lumetri color correction tutorial that describes these nuances... check in shades that seem to be essential for efficient use of the product by someone like me. I want to know about Lumetri, that's fine, but I also really want to know how to use the product together more effectively... to do this, seems to me, should not take account of the effects of color more older 'obsolete '. I want to at least know if there is agreement, or if I could be missing something here.

    Thank you!

"Legacy" color tools more elderly are simpler "peripheral" in the code if I understand and don't work... especially... but as has been clearly established by colorists, especially if you do anything with the "" range"in the young or 3-way controls, you can get weird and very... results not correct not...

That said, if you stick to their tools without using the modifiers of the range and not to push things too far, they work for the most part, kind of like what you would expect.

Thus, on this laptop old of yours, stick to the Legacy tools is probably a good thing. And works very well for you. If you move up to a more recent material, you probably want to look more like the Lumetri Panel.

Currently, I am working with the help of a mixture of Lumetri for the 'main' ranking, but using 3-way & RGB secondary additional & such.

  • Problem with mask effect Gaussian blur

Greetings! I've seen discussions where people had various problems with the following mask in Premiere Pro CC, but I had not seen this issue discussed, so I hope it's just a user error.

I have a video where I need to blur the faces of several people in it.

    1. I applied Gaussian blur effect to the clip and used the tool free draw draw around A person's head.
    2. I have enabled the button animation next to the mask path label and then played the clip for some time.
    3. Then when his head would move out of the effect mask that I created, I would pause, add a keyframe and click and drag in the middle of the blue mask, that I had done in the program monitor, dragging on his head.

Everything was fine. I did this several times.

Then finally I suspended and made a keyframe, and suddenly the blue lines for the mask disappeared! You could still see the effect, but I could capture the effect is more and adjust it.

Anyone has an idea why the blue lines for the mask suddenly stop appearing in the program monitor? This has happened several times, and I can't understand what the problem is. Thank you!

Furthermore, I had already tried the mask tracking tool and he was not coherent enough, that's why I'm doing it manually.

Select the mask in the Panel for the outline to show effect Options.

Bad idea. After Effects is not software editing. You want to Premiere Pro for editing of a film. That's much, much, much better at home because that's what it's designed to do. When it comes to Visual effects, compositing and motion graphics, so you must use After Effects to these tasks.

    Lukwin8 wrote:

An i5 will work to launch After Effects. The clock speed of the processor will make a big difference in the AE speed makes things.

    Get 16 GB or more.

What are the 3d effects you plan to use? There could be several things that you hear here.

If you're talking about ray-traced rendering introduced in CS6 engine, I would advise against using it. She is considered obsolete by the After Effects team and I don't know any people who used it professionally.

If you're talking about the substitute continually improve the ray-traced rendering engine (the inclusion of Cinema 4 d with your subscription to After Effects), the GPU is not relevant. C4D renders on the CPU.

If you talk about AE own 3d space (which is technically 2.5 d), the GPU is not relevant AE makes it only on the processor.

If you talk about third-party plugins as item 3d, 3d Zaxwerks Invigorator, Shapeshifter of the courage, etc., you will need to check on their needs.

If you have after effects CC 2015, then you have a subscription with Adobe which includes AE CS6, CC, CC 2014, 2015 CC and next version of After Effects coming out for as long as you are subscribed.

How to find and install previous Version of Adobe Apps in 2015 CC

    Lukwin8 wrote:

If you only subscribe single-app for After Effects, just get the regular subscription to creative cloud. It's cheaper than to make two single-app subscriptions and it includes After Effects, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Audition, SpeedGrade, Illustrator, Muse, Animate, Dreamweaver and many other professional programs like that.

If you want to do video editing, you'll want to have Premiere Pro. After effects is ideal for animations, compositing and effects Visual, but it's TERRIBLE editing. Premiere Pro, use for this!

    Hope that helps.
