  Domain name registration (yoursite.com) is usually from 1 to 5 years, not months.  Most of the people who are serious enough to buy a domain name want to keep for life.

  Many commercial hosts offer plans that are paid from one month to the other.  This varies by host.

  Unfortunately, dealers sometimes take place products in their inventory for long periods of time before selling them.  Please fill out the registration form to transfer the product in your name.  If your system will be guaranteed by the seller or by Dell would be determined by the Conditions you agreed at the time of purchase.  Please read your contract and if you need assistance, please post back.

  Download all the files published (including the PDF file) on a web server and test from there.  Tests of this sort of thing locally can often fail.

  If you use Captivate 8 or 9, you can zip the HTML page and insert into Captivate as a HTML5 Animation. This should work for you.

• Captivate 9.0.1 - web object order

  I've just updated my Captivate 9 to the latest version (9.0.1.320) and was very excited to see one of our main issues mentioned in the release notes (web objects will always top layer).

  After testing this latest version now, I find it than anything else, web objects appear above when published and nothing can be placed above them (smartshapes, images). The only thing that you can place over a web object, is another web object.

  I think I'll keep waiting for what will be fixed.

  Everyone was able to overcome this problem?

  1. go in your installation folder, copy AdobeCaptivate.ini (first take a backup of this)

  2. paste it on your desktop

  3 open the file and change the value of UseWidget7 from 0 to 1

  4. save it, copy and replace in your installation directory

• Problems using Vimeo in widget Web object and error message "What is happening here?"

  Using Captivate last, 8 on Windows 10. I have five minutes 5 HD mp4 videos uploaded to Vimeo Plus account. I used the Web object widget interaction with the embed from Vimeo on 5 empty slides code in my Captivate for learning project.  I've extended once the widget and drag it to the Timeline for a few seconds before the actual length of the Vimeo video. Between each slide video I put one or two quiz slides. Publication and download a Web site online that everything seems to work fine, except that sometimes a video will stop halfway through and the Captivate after project will move immediately to the next quiz slide. It's random. In the test with multiple users, a person can spend all the videos OK but the other may have breaks from 1 to 4. When I tested it online, I found the same erratic behavior.

  I tried to put a button 'continue' after the video on the timeline. Video can still stop playing after a few minutes, but the blade now continues until the button is on the timeline. So it does not solve the problem.

  In the properties of the Web Widget object, there is a preview button:

  

  When I saw one of the 5 videos shipped I get this message "what happens?", but I can see the first frame of each video in the background, and however, it always seems to start OK.

  

  That means Adobe by "Please install Flash or upgrade your browser." I have 10 Windows that says I have the latest version of Flash Player. I also have Adobe Edge animate installed.

  Help to fix this would be greatly appreciated. I know that I can insert just the 5 videos in the project calendar and it will work, however, these are great HD videos and with 2 or more users who access at the same time, we have some bandwidth problems. I thought that using Vimeo to disseminate video content would solve the problem of bandwidth, but having the halfway cut of videos is not acceptable. Has anyone else had luck with the help of Vimeo in this way? Are there other methods, what can I try?

  Why not try the native Web (headings) object that comes with 8 Captivate? In addition, may I know if you publish to SWF or HTML format? You can also share a screenshot of your Timeline slide?

  I'm a web object link to PDF links hosted online. They are inaccessible in Internet Explorer and Safari on a Windows System. They are all of the latest versions and the PDF is visible in browsers, but not in the web object.

  I think I'd be more apt to launch the PDF file with a link in a new window. I don't like my projects throwing errors, so I would not use either WO without correcting the errors. I correct and keep them in a different folder to replace in the project after the publication. You can also include some of the patches in the widget while they are actually fixed. Some errors are actually in the CPM.js, which must be fixed post-publishing.

  Please give the following a supposed to look in your first elements 13/13.1, on Windows 7, 8 or 8.1 64bits.

  Expanded panel and its Position property.

  Video track 3... a copy of the video track 1. Apply a hide eight points to the video clip and its edit points so that the head which will appear in front of the text lies in the area framed by points.

  For eight-point Garbage Matte, see fx effects/overlay/eight point Garbage Matte.

  

  In this example, the head (red circle) does not move while the text is. But the principle should be upward for movement of circle red and moving text... keyframing over video and cache transparency.

  Just something to try.

  I'm trying to insert a YouTube video into Adobe Captivate and publish it. While it previews fine, when I publish it as a SWF, I see just an empty frame.

  Can help out you here? Also, if I want to publish it as a PDF, the video will play it too?

  I guess that the method you are using now is integration of Youtube videos into your Web object. My suggestion is that it will be much easier if you use the Interaction of training Youtube instead of a Web object to insert Youtube videos to your Captivate project.

  This can be found in the toolbar of Interactions-> Learning Interactions-> Youtube

  In addition, as Anthony mentioned, please test it on a web server, or a SCORM cloud.

  YouTube interaction works when you export to PDF as well.

  The page could be cached in other places, such as cache network or your internet provider.  These are rare cases, but they happen, and you have no control over it.  Best to have friends / colleagues check from another place, this page has been replaced by fact.  If you have several locations showing the same old page, which means the page was either not removed properly, or home page of the site is perhaps used a different directory than where you are currently working.  It is common for people to create several directories test when booting with web creation programs and forget the one that serves content for the online site.
