• Very slow / freeze while working with photos in Photoshop Elements and Canon DPP

  Suddenly my Windows XP has become very slow or crashes when working with photos.  I have Canon DPP and Photoshop Elements installed, and in the two following occurs: I can edit a photo without any problem but when I try to work with a second picture the system slows down / freezes.  It unlocks after a minute or two each time.  I tried cleaners registry check disk, Disk Defragmenter, virus, etc. etc. scans and no problems.  All other works very well and this problem started just out of nowhere.  Any suggestions or ideas will be greatly appreciated.

  Organizer of elements for MAC does not see my camera Canon EOS. I can't import any foto. It works before but...   I see that Camera Raw 8.7 will read the RAW of Canon 7 d Mark II files, but it apparently is not yet available for Photoshop Elements. Is that going to happen?

  Yes, pse 13 can be camera raw update 9, which covers the canon 7 d MkII.

  After completing the 13 pse, you just need to go to help > updates PES editor 13 to get the update of the plugin camera raw 9.

  You are using which version of LR and LR allows you to manually select the desired profile?

  I understand your point that Canon could offer their own profiles of the compatible Adobe, but who would probably then be provided to the end-user by Canon, and not by Adobe.

  I am see the profiles of specific gun you mention, in LR 5.4, offered against the Raw images, but not against non-premieres images.

  Unless you are using an older version of software, or by selecting edit version derived perhaps from e.g. TIFF instead of a Raw, I am at a loss, why you don't see them too.

  According to me, that it will have been generated by Adobe. They are here on my PC:

  

  Please note that there is a profile of non - Raw that are listed are for example the G10, but not for example the G12. So the fact that you see a profile for the G10, gives weight to the idea that don't may not actually selected Raw image based.

  BTW, I do not think that all additional profiles that the user could make or find and then save here, never going to be seen by LR (or ACR). It's apparently the location 'official profiles installed only' from Adobe.

  All profiles made or declared by the user, must be saved in a similar folder in the user data area, so that LR to see them and use them. And if they are the first based, they will appear still not to a basic non - Raw image.

  On my Windows computer, this location is C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\CameraRaw\LensProfiles\1.0

  It has a "Downloaded" subfolder (that is, in my view, the destination used by Adobe profile downloader utility).

  I have Photoshop elements 11 and just got a new Canon 6 d

  I recently started shooting in RAW and Photoshop says that it does not recognize the form BRUTE

  I tried to download 3 of the plug ins but nothing helps

  Is there a specific to Photoshop 11?

I improved my Canon EOS 5 d Mki to a Mkiii and downloaded the update from 6.5 plugin from Adobe, but I'm unable to open images BRUTES of the Mkiii in elements. Open them in Canon software. Adobe offers no support for this phone. Any ideas please?

  You need camera raw 6,7 & PSE10 for the 5 d mkiii. Otherwise, download and install the free Adobe DNG converter to convert your raw files to the universal Raw format files and Adobe will open in all versions of PSE (keep your originals as backups and for uses in the software of the camera factory)

  I am currently working with Phroshop CS3.

  I use several years a Canon PowerShot G7 and G9 as a second camera. A few days ago, I decided to upgrade to the G12. However, for the first time, I have experienced the following problem. I turned a few RAW images to try out the new camera. I downloaded the image on my computer (a Dell Precision 2007). I started my Bridge CS3 and only the RAW icon appeared on my screen (no preview). When I try to open one of these images in the RAW Camara software does not open it and the following message appears: "could not complete your request because it is not the right kind of document. Could you help me hear what is happening?

  You must have at least Adobe Camera Raw 6.3.  This would require CS5.x Photoshop since the last ACR for CS3 is as me 4.6.

  So you either upgrade (recommend Hold'em) out for CS5 in a few months or use a DNG Converter.

  DNG is free and you can download version 6.6.  It will work with all versions of PS.

• Windows Vista does not see my Canon G12 digital camera

  I tried to upload photos today of my Canon G11 digital camera and has encountered a problem.
  I used this camera and other cameras on this computer before and had no problem connecting to the cameras.  Today, I'm having a problem.

  Yes there is no drivers for the device. The software supplied with the camera must be installed. The camera window should open when the camera is connected to the computer. Try using another USB port or use another cable, it can go bad too.

  In the Device Manager expand Universal Serial Bus controllers, search for the connected camera or something as a mass storage device. Right click above and uninstall, then restart, it needs to be reinstalled. If does not uninstall everything under USB controllers and then restart your computer.

  The G12 requires at least 6.3 RTAs that should work just fine in CS5. If you have specific problems, you must provide the necessary technical information such as what system, what are the errors you get and so on.

  There is no plugin latest raw camera for pse 6 who will read these files directly.

  You could either save the files that you want to open pse 6 in camera 10 pse as DNG dialog box that will open in pse 6

  or download the converter DNG 6.7 and dng copies of your T2 files that will open in pse 6.

• Canon S100 and Camera RAW 6.6

  I upgraded from Photoshop Elements 9 to 10 elements for Canon S100 RAW compatibility.

  I installed the 10 elements, and then updated the Camera RAW to 6.6 in the Menu Help. When I try to open a folder with a S100 RAW CR2 file I get the following error:

  I searched the online support and followed the instructions to uninstall 10 items (I also uninstalled Elements 9). I rebooted and reinstalled 10 items, I then installed the file RAW 6.6 directly from the file on the page: http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=5316. I always get the same error message when I go to the folder containing the S100 CR2 files.

  However, if I close the window error and try opening the S100 RAW file it opens in a window titled: Camera RAW 6-6-Canon PowerShot S100, which can then be opened in 10 items after adjustment.

  Thus, 10 items can work correctly with the exception of the error window that keeps poping up until I have the open folder that contains the files RAW S100.

  Any comments or help appreciated.

  The message you see comes from Windows and has nothing to do with all the Adobe products that the mere fact that they use Windows file / open dialogs to locate the files.

  Windows is to see a CR2 file and probably wants to show you the thumbnail for it and the thumbnail Manager for CR2 files registered with Windows is the Canon RAW Codec.  When Windows asks you the Canon RAW Codec to display the thumbnail of the file CR2 S100, Canon RAW Codec is quite smart to know it is too old, but the link it gives you leads to a place that does contain any recent to install codec.  Cannon was slow to release updates for the RAW Codec.  Version 1.9.0 is the last April 2011, so all new cameras that have come out since then no are not supported, but it is towards the end of February 2012 and if they update once a year, so perhaps it will be updated soon.

  It shows miniature S100 and found in full screen okay even if it is much older than this model of camera.
