Eliminate continues/annoying POPs for Flash install - how?

Just tried to switch to Firefox of Safari - how can I get rid of a recurring pop-up that asks if I want to install Flash to view content on the site web I just tried to visit. I have blocked in the preferences pop up windows.

This may cause me to stop using Firefox as I don't want Flash on my computer--because of the continuous demands to store unknown information on my computer.

Any help much appreciated. Thank you.

In the old version of Firefox 30 that you seem to be using, you can switch pref plugins.notifyMissingFlash false on the topic: config page.

You can open the topic: config page via the address bar.
You can accept the warning and click on "I'll be careful" to continue.

Please upgrade to the current version of Firefox 39.0.

It is important to update Firefox and Add-ons to the latest versions for all security patches.

If he has problems with the update or with the permissions then best is to download the full version and trash the version currently installed to do a fresh install of the new version.

Download a new copy of the Firefox application and save the file to disk on the desktop image
