Email Contact of Smartphones blackBerry and caller ID

I have 3 addresses of e-mail for one of my contacts, and I would like to add a 4th - is it possible?  In addition, when multiple contacts have the same phone number, (even at work), how can we determine who's calling the caller ID?  Finally, can I add my home e-mail address to the owners Lounge sign in?

Your Question was: Finally, can I add my home e-mail address to the owners Lounge sign in?

You can connect from home with any e-mail address.

  • Contacts synchronization to Smartphones blackBerry and calendar - problems with Outlook Connector (and other things).

    Hello world

I just got my first BlackBerry (storm) and this is my first post on the forums.  I read around a lot and found pieces of this problem but no definitive answer (which I understand).  So, I know it's a delicate subject, but really hope that someone can help you.

FYI, I use Windows Vista and Outlook 2003 with the connector Outlook synchronize my e-mail, contacts and calendar on my Windows Live Hotmail account.

I installed the Desktop Manager software V.4.7 and crossed to set up > sync and selected Outlook for Contacts.  The wizard all seems to work OK but then when I press "Finish" I get the error message ' file is does more part of the system data source or the couldnot folder is located.

I partially understand the idea that my Contacts are not in Outlook, they are in my hotmail/live account.  My question is how can I work around this problem and import my contacts to the BlackBerry?  It will not accept an exported .pst file or can it link directly to hotmail?

(On the basis of the advice on the forum), I found is you go into Outlook and adjust the settings of your e-mail account to send incoming emails into "Personal folder" instead of "* @hotmail.co.uk ' then he manages to pass the error message, however, I found no data calendar or contact in my outlook personal folders for BlackBerry to synchronize with a time that I did."

I'll try to do a few requests on a Microsoft forum on the features between Outlook and Hotmail to see if there is an easy way to get my data anywhere in the personal folders so that the BlackBerry it can sync from there.  I'm afraid to lose emails or functionalitly to the Outlook Connector on my PC to subsequently change the default e-mail folder.

Sorry for the length of the message but thought the more detail the better - thanks in advance for any help you can offer,

    Al.

Just in case anyone else has this problem, I got a work around (not a solution, but it works).  In Outlook, go to Contacts - export to file and select: separation by comma (Windows). CSV file - save it to your PC.

Then open a Yahoo mail account (if you have not already one) go to Classic view, Contacts and to the right of the screen, there is an option to import/export.  Select the location of the CSV file you saved on your PC and transfer it on Yahoo.

You can now go through the DM Assistant and select sync with Yahoo.  It is ideal to add contacts to the phone for the first time.  Don't forget to make sure that everything is up-to-date and complete in Outlook Contacts before export to the CSV file.

If you want to add contacts to the future, the best way is to add to Outlook first and then go through the process of exporting the CSV file again - this will ensure that all records are the same.  Although if you wanted too, you can also export from BB in Yahoo, then in Outlook as Yahoo also exported contacts to a CSV file.

    Hope that helps someone...

  • Smartphones blackBerry and email roaming

I'm new to Blackberry and have set up my email to my handheld as it comes in my Inbox mailbox.

I'm soon going on foreign holidays and don't want my emails to push while I'm foreign because of the cost of roaming.

Does anyone know how can I activate pushing off the coast while I'm away?

Do you know if your on a BES (receipt of company e-mail on your device and your device is configured by your IT Department), or BIS (just receipt of personal e-mails)?

If your on a BES, then your IT Department can disable forwarding of e-mail on your account and then turn it back on when you get home. I believe you can also go into Messages. Options | E-mail settings and set the "Send Email to handheld".

If you use only BIS, you can enter in your BIS carrier site and go the section filters on your email account. You can then set the filter to not forward messages to your device.

I apologize in advance for asking for help on a topic that I'm sure has been addressed several times already. But, how we implemented the BB so that the emails from a personal account goes directly to the blackberry device. According to the Deskop Manager Blackberry email cannot be synchronized. These things are about as intuitive as the CVT transmissions! Any help would be appreciated. I am a customer of Bell Sympatico are running Outlook 2007. • Removal of Smartphones blackBerry and reading the emails in Outlook not reflecting only not on Blackberry

I've set up by O2 of BIS and links to 3 email accounts.  They are all IMAP.  I start Outlook to connect to these accounts from my laptop.  Almost everything works perfectly.  Always receive emails for delivered to Outlook and Blackberry OK.  If I open an e-mail or delete it on Blackberry, then this is reflected in the accounts of e-mail OK.  All emails deleted on the Blackberry are displayed in a basket on my email account.  What does not work, it is when I delete or read an e-mail in Outlook.  This is reflected on the Blackberry and I have to manually read or delete messages on the subject.  All the settings for accounts on the Blackberry look good balance that is wireless enabled, the victories of the mailbox and delete on handheld and mailbox is enabled.  If I do a balance now, nothing happens, read and deleted messages are still on the Blackberry.

    Any ideas anyone?

You need BES to do, only BIS is not enough

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry and Smartphones are interchangeable on e-mail networks?

I am a user of BB Curve which is changing jobs to another employer who uses the Motorola what. Can I use my curve if the employer does not use a Blackberry corporate email server? In other words, the BlackBerry and Smartphone are interchangeable on the e-mail systems?

You can use the curve not BlackBerry Enterprise server. But you can use BlackBerry Internet Service and integrate professional email address via POP/IMAP/OWA and still continue to use BB. Your IT will know if they have access POP/IMAP/OWA.

  • Email synchronization to Smartphones blackBerry with Outlook 2007

I am absolutely new to Blackberry, so I hope there is a solution to my problem.  I was syncing my device with Outlook and Calendar Contacts tasks & Memo Pad all sync using Desktop Manager, but there is no possibility to synchronize email.  As the strength of the Blackberry is its email management I know I must be missing something.  I am an individual user, and that's why I use BIS.  I've just migrated from a Palm tree where I had no such problem.  In addition, the e-mail program will not synchronize wireless.

A way to fix this takes a few steps. They may need to be modified depending on how you use your email and if you have multiple addresses among other things, but most of what follows can be useful:

1 using the webclient Blackberry (the correct link to use would be provided by your service provider) you can manage your email addresses for your Blackberry.

One of the options provided in the webclient service allows you to automatically bcc to another e-mail address you have, all emails you send from the Blackberry. This gives you a way to actually get a copy in your Outlook. You can then set a rule in Outlook to move all emails that come from your Blackberry in your 'sent' folder, or any other, you choose to do this.

If you use only one address you can bcc yourself and then put in place a (also available in your webclient) filter to avoid duplicates, back to your Blackberry.

    2. When you send emails from Outlook, bcc those you want to appear on your Blackberry directly to your

    Blackberry e-mail address.

The final result is not exactly the same email synchronization would achieve, but I found that it gives me useful information on what email I sent him, if I use Outlook or my Blackberry at the same time.

I hope that helps a little...

  • New to the blackBerry Smartphones Blackberry and LOVE my Storm! Now, how can I get the best party?

OK, I am new to Blackberry and devices in general.   I had a Palm, but never really used.   Now, I have a Blackberry, I really want to learn how to get the most out of it.

I want to get more organized with my calendar and schedule.   I want to keep a list of things to do.  I want that all my contacts easily manageable.

In my Palm, she had a beautiful desktop app where I could add Notes, or memos or items to my calendar and then synchronize when it would move anywhere in my Palm.

The B; ackberry Desktop application does not seem to have that same out of the box user friendilyness.    So my question, what program to use, how total, all this together to get the most out of my Blackberry?

    Outlook?   Google Calendar?  Another program?

    Thanks for any suggestions!

    Jamie

The most transparent way is synchronization with Outlook, via the Desktop Manager.

Step 1 install Blackberry Desktop Manager Manager of
    http://NA.BlackBerry.com/eng/services/desktop/

    Step 2
Connect blackberry to your PC via a USB cable and let the blackberry device driver install. During the device driver installation is complete, it will warn 'material installed successfully' in your windows taskbar.

    Step 3
Run the Blackberry Desktop software and choose the option SYNCHRONIZE.

    Step 4
Now choose CONFIGURE and you can select the CONTACTS, CALENDAR, NOTES, and databases TASKS by clicking on the boxes next to each. After you select each item, it will ask you which application you want to synchronize with, there are OPPORTUNITIES for all.

    Step 5
Now click OK on all windows until you are on the main blackberry Desktop Manager screen. Click SYNCHRONIZE. Make sure that the SYNCHRONIZE ORGANIZER DATA checkbox is checked. Now, click SYNCHRONIZE NOW to start the synchronization.

  • MMS of Smartphones blackBerry and copy of sent Messages questions

    Hello

Got 2 questions abt my "BOLD".

    1. I noticed that the MMS option is not available on my "BOLD".  I bought the unlocked Australia Optus H/H and its use in the network of Telkomsel Indonesia. Telkomsel network has MMS ability but not sure abt Optus. If I go to the help and the MMS Inbox, I can open the file but for some reason it is not in my screen home or that the option available to the general public. How can I activate the MMS for the device?

    2. I did hide messages sent to the relative to the general Message Option NO. It serve my needs well for e-mail messages (he stop copy my sent messages). However, I need the registration message sent to my SMS text. Is there anyway I can turn on for SMS only and hold e-mails

Thank you very much for the year Advisor

1 - the MMS function is managed by your operator, not to the blackberry device, call your carrier and ask why you can't.

2 - Nop, you can not, SMS are managed by the message Options too, if you hide in messages are you hiding in the SMS too

  • Talk about Smartphones, blackBerry and video simultaneously

Is any way to talk and video at the same time?  I was at the hardware store and my husband asked me to buy something for him but I didn't know if what I was watching, it was there.  At this point, I wished I could video what I was watching without having at the end of conversation-video - send video - start conversation.

    Thank you!

Not that I know of. The video would send through the data channel, which is off on your device while on the phone.

You could easily snap a picture > email and call.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Bluetooth and Caller ID

    Hi all!

New to the forum and there seems to be a lot of information to absorb around here.  I searched for a while, without success, an answer to the following question:

Any BlackBerry smartphones (Bold, Tour, Cure, etc.) send two contact person AND number via bluetooth caller ID info or just the phone number?

I'm playing with a Gigaset One / XLink Bluetooth gateway for home phones and that the number is going on the wireless phone, even if the name is known and displayed on my phone.  The manufacturer said that not all phones will send the name even if it is stored.

So, I'm trying to understand if the BlackBerry 9000 "BOLD" does not send name, gateway does not pass along or cordless phone is not read it.

Any help or information relating to the identification of the appellant via bluetooth would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.

Well, it seems that only the BlackBerry phones send only the number and not the name when it comes to Bluetooth caller ID information.  Even if you have contacts stored in your phone, and it comes up with a name and a number, only the number will be sent to the Bluetooth device.

I received an email from XLink, indicating as they do know that the MotoRokr and iPhone (no specified people) actually don't send name and number calling info ID via Bluetooth, but BlackBerry does not.  I would check this info before I bet on it if.

So, if you plan to use a Bluetooth compatible device to read or make the ID information calling pass of your BlackBerry terminal (telephone wireless, hands-free system, etc.) certainly has enough space to hold all of your contacts that you will get only the Caller ID names for numbers stored in the terminal.

In addition, you do not want to look for one who can read contacts via Bluetooth from your mobile/smartphone specific rather than spending hours entering all contacts by hand.

My headache started when I bought a Gigaset One / Xlink Cellular Gateway and has not obtained the names of the caller ID on the AT & T wireless phone.  Many cordless phones have only a directory number 50 which is not sufficient.  This phone has replaced by TL92270 of AT & T that indicates it can match and 1500 charge contacts of 4 cell phones (Yes, 6000 in total).  That should be enough... :-)

  • Contact new Smartphones blackBerry Messenger without a PIN or email

Is it possible to request or get added to MSN messenger contacts if you don't have that is another phone number send SMS or call to find the PIN?

No, this is not possible. The PIN is related to the equipment used by the other person and not their phone number, you do not have to request their PIN or send your own. If you type 'mypin' followed by the space bar when you send a text/email, your PIN appear automatically (if the automatic insertion is enabled).

    See you soon,.
