Embed a font in a PDF document (generated by Word 2013) using Adobe Acrobat XI
Hi all
I wrote my thesis in 2013 of Word by using the 'LM Roman 12' LaTex font, which is a non-limited open Type font (the result is 'Editable').
Even if it is marked as opentype, word is not integrate it in the exported pdf file and I guess it's because the police is identified as Type1.
I more or less solved the problem with printing the word file using Adobe PDF or converting with Abobe Acrobat XI printer, but I would use the pdf file generated by word becouse auto-crée indexes, connects the points of the index to the content and does not resize/change the images inside the document.
The screenshot above is the properties of the pdf file generated from word.
Y at - it a simple way to force the dipping into this file pdf of the missing not fonts included?
You mention that you have Acrobat XI installed, correct? If so, use the PDF creation feature located below the Acrobat Ribbon in Word to generate the PDF file.

Hello
It is possible to create a page of several PDF from images uses the 'Camera to PDF' function in the iPad version of Adobe Acrobat Reader DC? I tried and failed, but wasn't sure if I missed something? If it is not possible there's no known workaround workaround for this?
Thank you
Hi Sean,.
I'm afraid, but we have not any direct option to create multi page PDF file using 'Camera in PDF format. As I have solution that we can do is create PDF files using camera option which will create PDF files and record them on your Document Cloud storage.
Then, you can use the Web of the DC interface by going to cloud.acrobat.com and use handset feature multi page PDF of the PDF files created using the camera feature.
I would like to know if it is useful.
Thank you

Fonts in a PDF document can be converted to outlines with Acrobat 9 Pro?
Acrobat 9 Pro... sometimes I get a PDF file that I have to make some changes in the. Because I do not have some of the fonts used, I can't change the file without losing the fonts used. Is there a way to have Acrobat may re-register itself with all fonts converted to outlines if this wont be a problem with the fonts othe errors that I can get?
Place the pdf file in InDesign...
Argl! Never what it is a total heresy!
==> Using Acrobat Pro:
-apply a transparent invisible object to all pages to force the flattening (for example to apply a little white square with an opacity of 1% in watermark in a corner).
-Then go to the flattening of transparency : http://help.adobe.com/en_US/Acrobat/9.0/Professional/WS58a04a822e3e50102bd615109794195ff-7 b87.w.html
and use a flattener preset that convert fonts to outlines.

How is - what embed you fonts in an InDesign Document?
How is - what embed you fonts in an InDesign document? or can only embed you fonts when exporting to PDF? I know how integrate you links... there at - it something similar for fonts?
Thank you
To answer your question directly, you cannot directly embed the fonts used in an InDesign document in this document with the following exception. If you place a PDF or EPS file with fonts embedded in an InDesign document, these fonts are incorporated; you don't need to have any other copy of these fonts available to view, print or export to PDF.
As noted by another responder, packing an InDesign document that can constitute a mobile with the document policy, but as the separate files in the package (of course, limited to your font license rights).

Can embed you fonts in a pdf file after that the pdf has been created? I received a PDF of an another designer, made a few minor corrections, and now the printer cannot be used because the original pdf didn't have all fonts embedded. Any ideas?
Use the Acrobat Pro preflight!
To incorporate the missing fonts in Acrobat Preflight profile will incorporate the missing fonts in your PDF file assuming that:
(1) the fonts in question are installed on your system and
(2) the police themselves is not protected against the incorporation (they can at least see and print incorporation.

I can convert pdf to word format adobe acrobat, DC, but my version of word may not be correct because after conversion, fonts and lines are not correct in the original pdf document. I'm currently using version 6.1 of windows 7 service pack 1 build 7601 Home Premium. Is it possible that I might have to upgrade my windows 7 in order to get good conversions of PDF files in word files?
No, it won't be linked to your version of Windows. Probably, you wait too long. Conversion cannot be perfect except for the files very easy.

Change the fonts in a PDF document
Hello!
I would like to change the font on a PDF document, because I have to agree with some parts of it (copy in a .doc or similar)
The problem is when I do, the original font is not recognized by word processing (strange symbols).
I m trying to change the font in Adobe Acrobat Pro, but I can´t the change. the program says that (not exactly, its in Spanish)
"The change of police did not because the font chosen and the codification of fonts document´s are different and it cannot be resolved."
By clicking on properties pdf´s, I see these fonts:
R11
R277
R677
All of them are 'customize' codification and type 3.
I hope that some in this forum could help me, I really need to extract text from this PDF file for work stuff.
Thank you and sorry for my bad English...
I don't know that I want to go into that. Sorry if I missed your original message. At the time wherever I went down to where I answered, I forgot some details. One thing you might try is to save in TIFF format at 300 or 400 dpi of resolution. Open the TIFF in Acrobat, can do an OCR to recover fonts. If it's a file as you suggest, then it must convert the fonts to something useful.
Otherwise, you either need to download a copy of the font in the PDF if you can find or try fonts different variations. Provide information on the types of policies that you found might help. This is where the question of Type 3 fonts was raised. Type 3 bitmap fonts are characteristic of the old systems of LaTeX and TeX. Today, most of these systems use vector fonts of Type 1.
If you could post an example page where you are having problems, maybe other suggestions could be made more timely.
If I missed something else in all of your messages, I'm sorry. The message that I am answering is only present as I answer.

Whenever I try to save a PDF file using Adobe Acrobat DC (Version 15.1), I get the error "the document could not be saved. There was a problem reading this document (21). "When I click ok, an error message appears saying:"insufficient data for an image. "I tried to do a repair on Acrobat, but it has not changed anything. I also tried some updates, but nothing that is. I did hours of research on the Internet and have found nothing so far. Does anyone know why this error keeps appearing?
Thank you!
Hi all
This problem has been corrected and is implemented to come or update.

Hello. I'm currently editing digital music pdf using Adobe Acrobat DC on a Lenovo tablet with Windows 7 operating system. Adobe Acrobat rejects the analysis as unchangeable. I export the scanned pdf to MS Word and re-export to AADC in pdf format. This can be cropped, but the edit function does not allow the movement of the measures (or 'skin measures text') within a team. I am producing pages with 3 litters per page and 3 measures by staff who can be sufficiently enlarged to a blind musician. My failure to change the measures so far means there is too much information by page and the page can be expanded properly. Advice please. Thank you. Charles.
This is well beyond what Acrobat is intended - not just a little far, but a lot. PDF is therefore completely inappropriate for this.
Address bits scan and cutting/organizing her before making a PDF. Maybe in Photoshop.

How to find and export video that is embedded in a PDF file using Adobe Acrobat Pro?
I need to find 2 videos embedded in a PDF document and then export them so that I can integrate them into a PowerPoint presentation.
I use Adobe Acrobat Pro XI.
How can I do this?
Hi nickyc311,
Video integrated in the file PDF can not be extracted & it won't even get exported to file Power point.
You must have the original video file to incorporate into the Power Point file.
Kind regards

I don't have the option "use Adobe Acrobat (in Firefox) for the Application PDF
My accounting software runs on a Mozilla browser. When I saw the reports, it downloads it instead of preview of the report in a new window. My instructions are to go to the Options/Applications Mozilla browser and replace Portable Document Format "use Adobe Acrobat (in Firefox) - but this option does not exist.
In addition, how to add Applications?
The plugin can be disabled, which means, set to 'never activate', on the plugins page. I think that the forum does not detect it when you posted (see Question details > System Details more).
To verify that you can open the page modules using either:
- CTRL + SHIFT + a
- "3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Add-ons
In the left column, click on Plugins. On the right side, look for Adobe Acrobat. If it is disabled, it will be down on a gray box.
If your plugin is very outdated, it can be disabled for security reasons. In this case, I suggest entering your product Adobe (Reader or Acrobat) and using the Help menu > check for updates.
Update the main program should also update the plugin. If all goes well then you will be able to use again.
