Fonts in a PDF document can be converted to outlines with Acrobat 9 Pro?

Acrobat 9 Pro... sometimes I get a PDF file that I have to make some changes in the.  Because I do not have some of the fonts used, I can't change the file without losing the fonts used.  Is there a way to have Acrobat may re-register itself with all fonts converted to outlines if this wont be a problem with the fonts othe errors that I can get?

Place the pdf file in InDesign...

Argl! Never what it is a total heresy!

==> Using Acrobat Pro:

-apply a transparent invisible object to all pages to force the flattening (for example to apply a little white square with an opacity of 1% in watermark in a corner).

-Then go to the flattening of transparency : http://help.adobe.com/en_US/Acrobat/9.0/Professional/WS58a04a822e3e50102bd615109794195ff-7 b87.w.html

and use a flattener preset that convert fonts to outlines.

  • Embed a font in a PDF document (generated by Word 2013) using Adobe Acrobat XI

    Hi all

I wrote my thesis in 2013 of Word by using the 'LM Roman 12' LaTex font, which is a non-limited open Type font (the result is 'Editable').

Even if it is marked as opentype, word is not integrate it in the exported pdf file and I guess it's because the police is identified as Type1.

I more or less solved the problem with printing the word file using Adobe PDF or converting with Abobe Acrobat XI printer, but I would use the pdf file generated by word becouse auto-crée indexes, connects the points of the index to the content and does not resize/change the images inside the document.

The screenshot above is the properties of the pdf file generated from word.

Y at - it a simple way to force the dipping into this file pdf of the missing not fonts included?

You mention that you have Acrobat XI installed, correct? If so, use the PDF creation feature located below the Acrobat Ribbon in Word to generate the PDF file.

  • Change the fonts in a PDF document

    Hello!

I would like to change the font on a PDF document, because I have to agree with some parts of it (copy in a .doc or similar)

The problem is when I do, the original font is not recognized by word processing (strange symbols).

I m trying to change the font in Adobe Acrobat Pro, but I can´t the change. the program says that (not exactly, its in Spanish)

"The change of police did not because the font chosen and the codification of fonts document´s are different and it cannot be resolved."

By clicking on properties pdf´s, I see these fonts:

    R11

    R277

    R677

All of them are 'customize' codification and type 3.

I hope that some in this forum could help me, I really need to extract text from this PDF file for work stuff.

Thank you and sorry for my bad English...

I don't know that I want to go into that. Sorry if I missed your original message. At the time wherever I went down to where I answered, I forgot some details. One thing you might try is to save in TIFF format at 300 or 400 dpi of resolution. Open the TIFF in Acrobat, can do an OCR to recover fonts. If it's a file as you suggest, then it must convert the fonts to something useful.

Otherwise, you either need to download a copy of the font in the PDF if you can find or try fonts different variations. Provide information on the types of policies that you found might help. This is where the question of Type 3 fonts was raised. Type 3 bitmap fonts are characteristic of the old systems of LaTeX and TeX. Today, most of these systems use vector fonts of Type 1.

If you could post an example page where you are having problems, maybe other suggestions could be made more timely.

If I missed something else in all of your messages, I'm sorry. The message that I am answering is only present as I answer.

  • pdf documents can be saved in another language?

English pdf documents can be saved or exported in other languages (specifically Italian)?

Specifically, there is no automatic language translation facility in Acrobat.

In addition to the obvious problems of translation of the language itself, the process involves the ability of content rearrange due to differences in the length of the text and to address the problems of existing fonts in the document who don't don't maybe not glyphs required to express all the characters of the language you translate into. And of course, translation of a left and right to right to left language more complicated this problem.

No other product Adobe not providing all facilities of automatic translation either, although they take over rearrange, which comes with different lengths of text and directions.

I have previously a POWER1) product allows me to digitally sign a PDF document? (2) convert a word to PDF doc?

    Hi robertb48724220,

I checked your account. You have an active subscription to Adobe PDF package, which allows you to convert files to PDF format, both signing (the fill & sign on Acrobat.com does not require a subscription). You can access your account at https://cloud.acrobat.com/. Just sign in with your Adobe ID and password.

Please let us know if you have any additional questions.

  • Hello - can you help to transfer my Acrobat Xl Pro to a new computer?

Can help you to transfer my Acrobat Xl Pro to a new computer?

Transfer will not work.  You must install it as you did initially.  Here is a link to download.  You will need your serial number to activate it.

    Acrobat XI, X - http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-downloads.html

Your license allows you to have two facilities enabled, so you can keep the original as a backup installation if you wish.  If not, then the minimum you need to do is disable the installation by opening the program and selecting Help-> Deactivate

  • Can I convert a PDF scan to a word or other text editable with Acrobat 9 Pro? In my view, it can be done in Acrobat DC.

In Acrobat 9, you will first need to use the OCR function to convert the scanned PDF document. You would then export to Word.

Well, one way would be to create a Standard sequence, and paste the sequence from the big screen into that, then adjust the Clips, as needed.

  • Error PDF - only then to make it compatible with Acrobat > 5

I have an InDesign document that I established

In short: export for compatibility Acrobat 4 - all right. But exporting to Acrobat 5-9, I get this error:

    Details:

This book is printed in 3 sizes, I export a PDF of the doc main, then I imported that pdf in a new InDesign document and resize it

The PDF file that was exported in the main document is perfect

However, the other 2 InDesign documents are not, and which contain this perfect PDF are NOT!

When I export to any greater than 4 Acrobat version compatibility, I get the above error.

(It is caused by a graphic in the document I did)

    Someone has an idea?

    Thank you

    David

I made a sample file for all those who want to can test and see

Here is a link to a zip file (on mega.nz) - in the ziip there is an InDesign doc with some PDFs (test files that I made)

The InDesign doc has 2 pages:

    • Page 1 is the graph of the origin of the problem.
    • Page 2 is a pdf file that is imported from page 1 (I exported page 1 and then placed in page 2

Try to open one of the 'Page 1' PDF files in Acrobat, you won't get any problems

However, open PDF "All pages", Acrobat 4 files will be just fine, all other causes error when scrolling of page 2

    More info:

I use the latest version of CC InDesign and Acrobat CC Pro

    10 Windows pro 64 bit

@Willi, understood, thanks for the great info here!

    Now, just an update:

    1. I tried separating the pieces to the image... it turns out that part of it caused the error
    2. I made a new icon with transparency - simple words with a drop shadow - had the same result! When you export to > Acrobat 5 with the color conversion, pdf was defective
    3. Tried to place InDesign doc - it worked

So, it seems pretty clear what is the cause of this problem.

This is obviously due to the conversion of two-color on transparency, and that's why:

    1. When export us it first without conversion, the second export is very good, even with the color conversion
    2. When we place the indd instead of the PDF file, there is no error - simply because there was no color conversion
    3. When the first export is exported to compatibility with Acrobat 4, there is no problem because the transparency is flattened.

I don't know if this is the behavior expected or not, but not knowing this topic certainly made me crazy and used a lot of my time!

I hope that this analysis will be useful to others - or maybe even cause Adobe to fix something here...

    Thank you

    David

  • Help with Acrobat 7 Pro (make savable PDF files reader and make the columns to do the math)

Forgive me, I do not normally an interactive PDF file, but I need to know a few things.

I am using Acrobat Professional 7 at home, but have access to Pro 8.  7, show do you the PDF save information as well as the PDF file in Adobe Reader?  I've seen how Pro 8, which allows 500 visits to the file, which is good enough to use in forms that I do.  But in 7 Pro, I can't find this feature to let the player save filled in the fields in the form.

The attachment to my message now is the question of the second (but not as important).

I need to try to make the fields in this form to add, subtract and multiply.  How do I do that?  I don't have experipence of java programming.  This is how I want to have the columns to work:

    Texts, 29, 34, 39 and 44 should match the text 46.  Texts, 30, 35, 40 and 45 should match the text 47.

Text 48 should subtract text 46 and 49 text should subtract text 47 if used.  The results should then indicate in texts 52 and 53 respectively.

Now here's the tricky.  Texts, 50 and 51 are optional.  If the main discount is applied, then texts 52 & 53 should have a discount of 5% applied to the totals.

Is it feasible by a non-programmer?  Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Bill Rudloff

The rights of the reader extended registration form fields not available in 7 Pro. To use javascript, learn javascript programming. It's not rocket science, but it's the programming.

  • Where can I download a version of Acrobat 9 pro for the new computer volume license

I have a laptop retired and got a new. I have a valid license for Acrobat 9 Pro. It appears in the list of my licenses on the Adobe Web site.

The installation rejected the license number, so I contacted support. They said that I tried to install a retail version with a volume license, and they sent me to licenses.adobe.com to get a download of volume license. Only Acrobat 9 pro does not appear on the list of downloads available in my account.

There is an inconsistency here. The list of my licenses on adobe.com says I have a valid license. Tech support says that's a volume license, but it does not appear on my site of volume license. Said technical support so that they can not help me because this product is not supported.

I'm about to get gypped out of my ability to use what I bought and 'forced' in an upgrade. Is it possible for me to get a download and continue to use it?

    Thank you

    Mike

If AA 9 was part of CS, then you will get it by downloading CS, not directly in Acrobat. As we have stated, normally volume licenses are managed by the contact of the company that keeps track of the number of users and others, including the distribution of the software. In fact, many companies that work with the same volume license requires that all help requests go through this contact. The use of a contact to deal with these details makes it viable for a software company offer volume discount which is often considerable. The forums offer the opportunity to get aid, but not the software itself. Have you tried to contact your IT people about software?
