Enable the column to sort on PivotTable in dashboards

I am aware that you can enable sorting on a regular table (http://gerardnico.com/wiki/dat/obiee/dashboard_column_sorting) the user, but anyone know of a way to allow users to sort on a table in a PivotTable view?

There is no way to make a sort of user only for the purpose of the table.

try to convert your view of pivot to the view of the table:

    There are a few old bugs where sqldeveloper confused the tables of the same name and used the file layout of table to the wrong table. Those that have been set for most, but it may be something related.

  • Sort sort the columns number of lines n columns in the RTF PivotTable but hide them.

    Hello

    I'm trying to sort on the columns number of sort for lines n columns in the PivotTable but hide them. Any help appreciated.

    Attached model RTF, XML and output required. Thank you

    Please check your email that I have forwarded to update the model.

    by default, it performs a sort on the column, we used to pivot rows and columns. If we need custom sort, we must specify that column in the logic that was present in the C form field.

    by default, you are as below

    Custom sort

    {INDUSTRY_sort, o = a, t = n} « ; » MONTHS {Month_sort, o = a, t = n} '; SALES '; "' sum '? >

    I have a PivotTable with data that the customer does not wish to drill. Instead, they want to be able to click on the column header and have the PivotTable to re-sort the data in the table based on the data in this column. Is it possible, or are clickable column headers only used for drilling of OBIEE? Thank you.

    This kind of sorting is not possible in the pivot table, if you are particular about painful Dynamics when you click view use of table name column. In a display table properties select Enable column sorting in the box on the dashboard and it only works when your dashboard report.

  • How to sort the column total in pivot view

    Hello guys

    I have a report in pivot mode, where I put the call on the section of the column type. So the report looks to below with the AMOUNT applied to the section of the column:
                                       Call Type1         Call Type2       Call Type3               TOTAL
    ID                                        SALES TOTAL

    A                                  100                  200                300                       500
    B                                  200                  200                400                       800
    C
    D
    E
    My question, how can I sort the data in the field "TOTAL"? The challenge, seems, is that, since 'TOTAL' is not a column of the table, but just a screen of pivot Sum, it cannot be sorted H - L or L.-H...

    But I would like to get some advice from you guys before you do my conclusion

    Thank you

    You can't have sorting on the PivotTable total.

    On a workaround solution.
    You can create a column in the criteria that calculate the sum

    SUM (sales_total by ID)

    Assign the sorting on this column order
    You can exclude this column in the PivotTable

  • is it possible to apply the sort on the columns added to a dynamic display object?

    Hi all

    We use JDeveloper Studio Edition Version 12.1.3.0.0 and deployed on GlassFish Server Open Source Edition 3.1.2.2 (build 5) and connect to the SQLServer database.

    We have created a dynamic display object in the AM Impl, all objects in view columns are added dynamically.

    All lines are displayed correctly, but when sorting columns data disappear. (point of view are being refreshed, of course).

    is it possible to apply the sort on the columns added to a dynamic display object?

    This is how we show data in the JSF page:

    < af:table lines = ' #{bindings. " DynamicVO.rangeSize}' fetchSize = "#{bindings." DynamicVO.rangeSize}.

    emptyText = "#{bindings." DynamicVO.viewable? "{'No data to display.': 'Access Denied.'}".

    var = 'row' rowBandingInterval = '0' value = ' #{bindings. " DynamicVO.collectionModel}.

    selectedRowKeys = ' #{bindings. " DynamicVO.collectionModel.selectedRow}.

    selectionListener = "#{bindings." DynamicVO.collectionModel.makeCurrent}.

    rowSelection = "single" id = "t1" >

    < af:forEach elements = "#{bindings." Var DynamicVOIterator.attributeDefs}' = 'def' varStatus = 'vs' >

    "< af:column headerText =" #{def.propertyMap.label} "sortable ="true"sortProperty =" #{def.name} ".

    ID = "clmn$ {vs.index}" >

    < af:outputText value = "#{row [def.name]}" id = "ot1" / > "

    < / af:column >

    < / af:forEach >

    "rowSelection ="single"id ="t1"partialTriggers =": pt_gr2 "columnStretching =" column: clmn0 ">

  • TreeTableView to sort on a column by default without clicking on the column header

    I use TreeTableView (FX, 8). I need to sort a column in default date in descending when the TreeTableView rendering order. How to do this. I defined the Group of comparison for the required column. When the root is set, I called the treetableview.sort () method. But it doesn't have the default sort. Can you provide me with the code to do the same.

    Thank you.

    I have not worked with TreeTableView a lot, but I think there is somewhat similar to a TableView for sorting.

    You must specify the columns by which the sort is performed; you could have done this, but you didn't mention it. Something like

    treeTable.getSortOrder().setAll(dateColumn);

  • How to enable the end user determine the type of sort?

    Helllo all,.

    I use APEX 4.2.2. Oracle 11.2.0.3.

    In a classic Rerpot (line custom model), how to allow the end user to determine the type of sorting?

    I use decoding to select the column that the sort is done, but how to determine: Asc / Desc?

    order by decode(:P2_SORT, 'PRICE', v.PRICE, 'PROP_SIZE', v.PROP_SIZE , 'BEDS' , v.BEDS , 'AREA' , v.AREA)

    Kind regards

    One way may be to use a second element which maintain the sort order. Lets call it P2_ASCDESC.

    Your order by condition might look like this:

    order by decode(:P2_ASCDESC,'ASC', decode(:P2_SORT, 'PRICE', v.PRICE, 'PROP_SIZE', v.PROP_SIZE , 'BEDS' , v.BEDS , 'AREA' , v.AREA), null) asc
            ,decode(:P2_ASCDESC,'DESC', decode(:P2_SORT, 'PRICE', v.PRICE, 'PROP_SIZE', v.PROP_SIZE , 'BEDS' , v.BEDS , 'AREA' , v.AREA), null) desc

    I don't like this solution, since you réimplémentez one of the nicer features that apex was already out of the box. Better would be to stick to a classic report template and allow the standard user-defined sort order. Why do you think that you need your own non-standard solution?

  • Resize the width of the columns in PivotTables

    Hello

    Can anyone help with adjustment of the size of the columns in a PivotTable. I have 3 measure around 12 months on a page:

    Volume total margin total (%) Total contribution
    Market January 2010 February 2010 March 2010 April 2010 may 2010 June 2010 July 2010 January 2010 February 2010 March 2010 April 2010 may 2010 June 2010 July 2010 January 2010 February 2010 March 2010 April 2010 may 2010 June 2010 July 2010

    The months on some measures are roll upward and the others are on a single line, the width of the column can be rolled up or adjusted?

    Thank you

    Hello

    Yes, it can be. Click on a column and go to Format values > additional formatting Options > width. Try putting 50%, 60% if you want to, they grow.

    Header Format similiarly will work for the size of the header.

    You have to play with it to meet your needs.

  • Defining the column sort - descending order

    Hello

    I have the Period_Name column, which contains the month and year (for example. Dec - 06, Jan - 07...) and sort order is defined by another column 'end_date '.

    Kindly help.

  • Combine the ORDER BY sorting columns?

    Hello-

    I wonder if this is possible:

    I would like to combine two columns of Dates (from separate tables) so that the SELECT result can be sorted (ORDER BY) based on the order of these TWO dates, not just one or the other.

    Wherever a date exists in a column, the other column contains a null entry. For example:

    ID-date1 - date2.
    0 - draw - 12/09/09
    1 08/04/09 - null.
    2 - null - 06/12/09
    3 08/12/09 - null.

    (forgive the formatting)

    Essentially, I want to leave null values and possess a solid column of dates to sort a SELECT with query. Is this possible? If so, how?

    The two date columns have type DATE - they are not strings. They also store sometimes, but I don't understand as in the illustration above for simplicity. The columns are two separate tables, but who are joined with a join internal based on an ID value that connects the two (not sure if it's too big).

    I am also open to any other ideas about how I could sort the results based on the two sets of dates; Looks like some kind of cartel would be the simplest or most logical (even if I'm wrong, because I can't find a way to do it).

    Thank you!

    Salvation;

    select tableA.id, nvl(tableA.date1, tableB.date2) as combined_dt
    from tableA, tableB
    where tableA.id=tableB.id
    order by 2

  • Sort the columns dynamically built DataGrid...

    Hi people...
    usually, I'm building my DataGrid dynamically... with something like this:

    ... omissis...
    SQLstatement.text = "SELECT name, address FROM myDBTable";
    SQLstatement.execute ();
    resultSQL = SQLstatement.getResult ();
    MyArrayCollection.source = resultSQL.data;
    myDataGrid.dataProvider = MyArrayCollection;
    ... omissis...

    and it works perfectly... the problem is that resultSQL.data, by default, is a table sorted by "abc" (ehmmm... in English is alphabetical sorting?).
    Could, I want the same sort of my query, where the NAME came before the ADDRESS...

    Is there a solution?
    I don't want to pre-build a datagrid with all columns... because it cancels my dynamic datagrid features...

    Thanks for all help...
    bye bye ^ _ ^.

    Thanks for your advice ntsiii :))

    but now I use a SQLite database... so I prefer using Flex function...
    but I tried a solution (Pentecost of google of course help)

    the idea is the following:
    Once completed this datagrid, I copy dg.colums to a temporaney tempArray...
    can I swap the columns that are not in the right place... and in the end, I put dg.columns = tempArray...

    I tried this method time ago... but it did not work because I tried to change directly from db.columns [x]...

    Now, I'm convinced!

    Bye bye

  • Sort by clicking the column of heade with LIFO

    Hello!

    I want to sort by the last entry is first (LIFO) in my report.
    To do this, I have to check United Nations ensure:

    When I followed the suggestion of APEX, my lost feature of report to sort by clicking the column header.

  • Sorting the columns showing only a line

    Hello

    I have a report of sql query that I helped sort on all columns. When I click on the header to sort a column report shows only one line.
    If anyone can help me, I would really appreciate it!

    Thank you!

    Once I met a similar problem like the one you describe. I suspect that the problem was related to the data that the report was released.
    I was able to make the problem disappear by disabling "Partial Page Refresh" for the report. Define 'NO' for the attribute "Activate partial Refresh of Page" in the page 'Report attributes' disable PPR for the report.
