You must ensure that there is enough space on the Windows system drive (drive C) to ensure the proper functioning.

You can check if you can move (uninstall and reinstall) some programs in another drive and possibly move on data as well.
You can also check the Windows temp (% RPM, variable environment % TEMP %) to see if you can clean up files there.

You can perform a custom Setup with most programs including Firefox to specify the installation folder.

  • Could not create the work file. Check the temp environment

After I did my Vista SP2 update, the only thing I could do was to reformat the HD. After all, including Office 2007 reloading, Outlook and work has worked well. Again, I went through the updates, Vista and Office SP 2 and now in Outlook and Word I get this error message Outlook (Word) could not create the work file. Check the temp environment

variable. I am alos having other problems in Word. Help, I can't find all the answers!

Follow the steps below at our own risk.  Set a restore point before doing this. Make a mistake in the registry can have bad results

In your registry HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Current Version\Explorer\User Shell Folders\Cache Database Cache data value must be %USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files

Close all programs. Then in the registry editor, once you get in the folder above, right click on "Cache", make a left-click on "Change", paste in "%USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files" (without the quotes), on the left, click 'Ok' close the editor of the register. Restart the PC.

    This should solve your problem.

    a. start-> Run-> enter "regedit" and press "Enter" to run the program to change registry variables.

    b. navigate to the folder-> "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Current Version\Explorer\User Shell Folders\Cache"

    c. check the values of variables [for everything in the "User Shell Folders" folder] - all the variable should have values from '% USERPROFILE%\ '. ». Any variable that is not of this starting point is probably damaged. In my case, all variables corrupt has been a correspondent of "Backup_VariableName". Example: my variable "cache" was damaged when there is a variable called 'backup_cache' with the correct values

    d. change the value of variables corrupt to correct the values. Example of change variable value "cache" in "%USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files" and so on.

    e. close all of Ms Office programs, and turn. The problem should be solved now.

Check the user accounts in the Control Panel-user accounts and family safety-manage accounts

It may be that the user is called SYSTEM for some reason any. You can change the account name but the path of the user will remain the same.

Example: change the SYSTEM to Brad, the path to the user of Brad will still be c:\users\SYSTEM

To check if your processor is 32 bit or 64 bit

    Open the Control Panel

    Select system and security

    Select System

In the System section it check the line System Type

That should tell whether the operating system is 32 or 64 bits and if the processor is 32 bit or 64 bit.

  • Why build application vi works in the development environment, but not in the executable file; error 1025

    Hello

I have a request ('A') that I am trying to build another application ("BuildA").

I can create a request for A manually of its project using the Build specification, and it works fine (A.exe).

Also, when I run BuildA.vi in the development environment he calls the "Build.vi" properly and again generates application A.exe very well.

Then, when I ask BuildA (manually) and run BuildA.exe, I would expect that it also creates A.exe as BuildA.vi did in the development environment.

However, it fails with the error:

    Code: 1025

Reference VI opened in .vi NI_App_Builder_API.lvlib:Build (path)-> BuildA.vi
    Path of the VI: C:\TEMP\AppBuild\BuildA\vi.lib\AppBuilder\BuildTarget.vi

I noticed this thread , which looks like a similar problem, but has reached no conclusion.

Why BuildA.vi works fine in the LabVIEW environment, but the application that builda.exe does not work?  All paths are hard-coded, so it shouldn't be a path problem.

    Thank you

    eye_in_the_sky wrote:

There are still other options.  Lets say configure you VI to run then.  If you ran the following command from your script line

    "C:\Program NIUninstaller Instruments\LabVIEW 2011\LabVIEW.exe" "C:\BuildA.vi".

It would then open your BuildA.vi in LabVIEW and run in the development environment.

  • How to set the TMP/TEMP variables on account limited Vista's GUI?

    I have Vista64 Home Premium SP2.
I would like to change the TMP/TEMP variables for my limited account in Vista.

It is easy to do for the system account or my admin account
    (under advanced system environment variables,).

But if I want to do the same thing on my limited account, UAC is triggered
and the admin account variables are exposed, rather than limited.

    I then tried runas/user 'control sysdm.cpl', experiment /noprofile profile/env
but the result is the same.

I know that this is possible by editing the registry,
But first of all, I would like to know MS medium to do so.

BTW, as far as I KNOW, UNIX/Linux can have more intelligent way to elevation of privileges of the current user,
    instead of substituting another.

    Hi mtgbiker,

    (a) what exactly you are trying to do?

    (b) is connected to the domain of the computer?

Please provide more details about your question.  If you feel that your system is unstable, you can use SFC (System File Checker) scan utility, which allows administrators to perform an analysis of all protected resources to make sure they are the correct version.

Whether SFC should find all incorrect versions in one of these protected resources, SFC will be replaced by the correct versions.

You can still run a SFC scan on the windows vista computer. To run a scan suite SFC as follows:

    (a) click Start and in the start search bar type cmd, right-click on the command prompt icon in the box programs and then click Run as administrator.

    (b) at the command prompt type sfc/scannow , and then press ENTER.

  • Environment variable folder is different when it is shown in the console and read by programs

    Hi all

On our Windows Server 2008 machine, the TEMP and TMP environment variables all point to C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Temp as seen in system properties. However, they appear like C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Temp\3 in Windows console command line. I also feel the same behavior in Windows Vista. This causes problems in our program. I don't know whence the '3' subdirectory and why these environment variable appear differently in the console.

You have an idea about this problem? Thank you very much in advance!

  • Change the location of the TEMP folder on another drive

    1. What are the steps (dialog) to change the files TEMP system Windows7 on drive C for one of my other drives local HHD? Now, I have only a 160 GB SSD for my boot (C - drv) and want to keep the WRITE/ERASE SPO to a minimum.

    2. is it a security risk to modify the TEMP Internet folder of the hidden/protected area on the C drive to another local HHD? I read that there are built-in virtual paths and protections on both the system and registry that tends to protect Internet files TEMP containing viruses, rootkits, etc. to easily reach areas critical. Norton likely also verifies signatures in these default fields for the TEMP files.

    Thanks in advance.
