Change the Temp UserProfile directory

I need to pass the environment variable for the user's Temp directory. I am running the stsadm export to SharePoint 2010 2007 and there are more and more huge files in C:\Documents and utilisateur\Local Settings\Temp Settings\nom

I would like to move the data reader. However, even after the definition of the environment to go to D:\Temp variable, it always creates the files on drive C:\. Any ideas? Please

Using various hacks registry posted on various sites to redirect the default program installation folder to another drive is not supported by MS and can cause problems.

Most of the programs when you install them have the option for a custom install, where you can specify where / which drive to install, but not all programs have this option. Even if you install a separate drive various files/folders will be written on victory drive.

If the drives D, E & F are separate partitions of a disk, you will need to modify/extend partition in win

  • Cannot change the default installation directory (missing ProgramFilesDir)

I'm changing the default installation on my computer directory.  I looked at the number of threads here that cover the topic.  I go to regedit and follow this path: 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion' but I can't find the value 'ProgramFilesDir.' "  It's on Windows 7, 64-bit.

Your much more course using the option 'tailor-made' for each program you want to install. Most of the applications have this option. Change the system variable or the registry entry can cause other issues, you may not like.

Bounce is done, but still the page is trying to access the page of the old directory (xxx/oracle/apps/fndxxx/abcd/server)

It is said: oracle.apps.fnd.framework.OAException: could not load application module xxx/oracle/apps/fndxxx/abcd/Server/xxxAM

  • How can I change the names of directory of virtual machine in VMWare ESXi data storage?

I've always used host names, but I have changed several times, since the structure is bigger and I now 25 virtual machines. I started renaming to v, s, w - and then their hostname.

For now, the data store directory is a real mess without the new structure and it bothers me. Is it possible to rename directories? Perhaps using vcenter? I would like to see a beautiful tree as: DWT-win2003, centos5 tpl, tpl-debian6, s-server01, server02-s, w-exchange01, w-mssql01, just as I renamed it to VMS. I tried the migration option, but it only allows for migration between host data warehouses and not to rename the directory that hosts the virtual machine.

How can I change the my data store directory structure? I have considered changing the paths and edit vmx files to correct the paths, and then add servers to be inventoried. But I don't really know if this can be done without penalty or if there is a better solution.

the easiest way, continuously needs storage vMotion of the guest.  It renames the folder and the underlying file for the same as the name of object of vCenter. If you don't have much storage vMotion, then turn off the prompt and do a cold migration.

  • How can I change the lightroom installation directory

The default installation directory has changed and has been a success for my installation of Photoshop CC 2014, but the repertoire of Lightroom remains as default directory.

    How can this be changed?

After speaking with a service representative customer, it is confirmed that this is normal and there is no intention to change this.

It is a big barrier for those who have tiny disks.  There are many people who have tiny disks that store only the operating system.  There is no room for additional programs.

  • Can I change the drive and directory that uses default profiles 3.6?

My C:\ drive is getting overloaded. Can I switch my Firefox 3.6 default profile to another drive and directory? If so, I guess that profile management and Backing Up Your Info sections apply.

You can use the Profile Manager to create a new profile on the other disk (choose location).

Be sure to specify a new, empty folder for the profile.

  • How can I change the registry values with a common search for the string and replace the function where I don't do all manually?

Due to problems of space with my installation of XP Pro, (operating system has been installed on a 4 GB partition and I did have a copy of the OS to do a new installation) I am trying to move a number of files on a mounted drive.

It is a way to search an entire record of [SPECIFY FOLDER] "C:\Program Files\" instances and replace each with "C:\Program Files\Overflow\ [SPECIFY FOLDER]" as a common discovery replace function?

Also, I'll have to move several "Common Files" files in the mounted folder 'Overflow '. The method to make learning one should help me to do both. Manually, it will take most of thousand years that all the files in HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Installer\UserData\S-1-5-18\Components
the files seem to have a key value have changed.

I have already uninstalled and reinstalled some programs at the desired location, but many still use the "Common files" folder despite my having already changed the default installation directory path in the registry. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you

    One way:

    1. Start Regedit (start-> Run-> 'Regedit')
    2. Select the branch of the registry, or you are interested in changing.
    3. The export of this branch of the registry (file-> export) in a ".reg" file
    4. Use a programming editor (for example, the freeware Notepad ++) and use the "Find and replace" function to make the changes you want.  Save the modified file.
    5. After making the changes, double-click the .reg file to fold changes in your registry.

As always, keep a backup of your original registry in case things get really bad and know how to do to restore this backup your machine should not be able to start.

  • Cannot change the sidebar folder options

You know the side bar, with its Favorites and others? Well, I can't add anything to this file from Favorites. Nor can I change the download location (which is the default "downloads"); Every time darn, I download anything, I click on the small arrow to the left of the address bar and select "desktop" or something else. Not a chore, I know, but certainly a nuisance. In addition, I want as much control over the computer that I can, and it does not help. Thank you very much.

You can drag a Favorites folder and drop and it will appear here

Drag it to the Favorites or the star text near him, not on the elements

    3. Click on Options
    4. Click Browse

  • Change the location of the TEMP folder on another drive

    1. What are the steps (dialog) to change the files TEMP system Windows7 on drive C for one of my other drives local HHD? Now, I have only a 160 GB SSD for my boot (C - drv) and want to keep the WRITE/ERASE SPO to a minimum.

    2. is it a security risk to modify the TEMP Internet folder of the hidden/protected area on the C drive to another local HHD? I read that there are built-in virtual paths and protections on both the system and registry that tends to protect Internet files TEMP containing viruses, rootkits, etc. to easily reach areas critical. Norton likely also verifies signatures in these default fields for the TEMP files.

If you could please tell me that how to find the variable that would be fantastic.

  • Where can I change the default directory for file printing?

Currently, the file is placed in the Mozilla Firefox directory under program files directory. I want to change the default directory.

You can't do that without changing the code of Firefox program. Then you should consider other options.
