  Hello, can someone help me solve my problem of display. My screen flickers EXTREMELY bad to the point where its unusable at the time.   I have another type of TouchSmart, but this may work for you:

  1. Press Windows + X logo (if you are using a Windows computer 8 - If Windows 7, click the Start button, type Device Manager and click on Device Manager in the results of research).
  2. Select Device Manager from the list.
  3. Click on the small arrow next to Interface devices to expand the list.
  4. Click the touchscreen driver (in my case, Voltron NextWindow touch screen).
  5. Right click and select Activate from the list.
  6. Click Yes if a dialog box asks if you are sure you want to activate the touch screen driver.

  On some models, it is unclear which device in the checklist of the touch screen. I read in other posts that some people have solved the problem by disabling and then re-enabling each device.

  If this does not work, you could try to go to hp.com (http://www8.hp.com/us/en/support-drivers.html) and click on driver downloads &.
  In the search field, enter your product name or number, and then click OK. Select your operating system from the drop down list under Select your operating system, and then click Next.   I'm trying to get past the log on screen in Win XP.  I activated my copy of XP, but when I try to go into windows, it comes back with a message "you must activate Windows first.  When I try to activate (again), it returns a message "Windows is already activated.)

  Thanks for your advice. You are absolutely right. My mailbox has been set to activate after 15 seconds the ringer. I rang my Storm from my landline and two rings passed before the phone responded. On the third ring vibrée the storm. On the 4th ring, you could hear the ringtone. The fifth, a break in the ring. And then the sixth ring again. Date on which 15 seconds had elapsed and the voicemail kicks in giving the impression that the storm had rung only twice.

  There is no such thing as a special driver for touchscreen and it's why you can't find this driver on the Toshiba driver page. Contains the Windows system and own internal driver to control the touch screen.

  Go to control panel-> Tablet PC settings control
  Here you will find some options to calibrate the touch screen

  In the view tab, you will find the setup button.
  Click the Setup button to launch the Setup where you could point to the touch screen
  In the substantive area called display display options you could calibrate the touch.

  In case this workaround would not be possible or would not work, I recommend you put the laptop back to factory settings using the recovery media or HARD drive recovery option.

  But beware: this recovery format the HARD drive and thus data backup would be recommended.
