  You write on your laptop. Maybe your laptop isn't ready to install a minPCI wireless network card.
  But if it of possible to install so generally the slot card WLan should be placed at the bottom of the unit or under the keyboard.

  Then there must be the card only into the slot and then connect the two WLan antenna cables. As far as I know to connect the white cable to the hand and Brown to the auxiliary voltage

  Sometimes the Toshiba ASP should install the WLan card because of the validity of the guarantee.

  I recommend you contact the local ASP and ask this compatible disc.

• Equium L20-197: Re-install its driver gives BSOD

  Morning,
  I have a Tosh laptop on my bench I am re-construction using the supplied disc that came with the laptop.
  Drivers appearing on the said drive seem to be much use proverbial chocolate firewall.

  First I tried to install display drivers that did not work until I downloaded a new game on the site of tosh.
  His era was the following (that was fun) the supplied drivers do not have to give a message from microsoft bus driver should be installed.
  Installed a ms patch for I hope to fight against that and no, it didn't work.
  So I downloaded the audio drivers from the site Web of Tosh... Installed 1 2 3 bang bsod (blue screen of death) which was nice.
  Then I thought that maybe the recovery was questionable, so I recovered the laptop once again the above procedure and reached the same conclusion.

  Can anyone shed light on what I start to have caught up with her.

  I read somewhere that there is a specific order that driver had to be installed, but could not find the order anywhere...

  The Windows exe backup file should be located in the folder % SystemRoot%\system32\ntbackup.exe.

  But I advise to use a 3rd party like application such as Symantec Ghost to create a backup CD.

  I have an Equium L20 at the mo and unfortunately the CD/DVD drive is damaged and is no longer works (I can't even open the drawer), and I can't start up.

  Of course, I can't start the recovery CD is if there is another solution? I tried to create a bootable USB but I can't make it work, whenever I ask the bios to run it it runs as if it is a hard drive and says "operating system not found '.   You want to use your laptop with defective CD/DVD drive all the time? Why you don't want to trade the player and all your problems will be gone. The drive cannot be expensive and I am sure that you can exchange it only.

  Please, do not offer the generic (and obsolete) Pavilion 17 Notebook PC Maintenance and Service of Guide. It seems not to apply to 17z - F series. This guide indicates to remove the low service panel which I could have understood that mine. However, 17z - F series does not appear to have removable panels at all. I took a shot near the Pavilion 17z-F100. And it is not any removable panels on the underside, with the exception of the battery. So, I guess that 17z-F200 are the same.

  I am a computer technician. And this is the first laptop I've seen without signs of service. I'll probably have to remove the outer shell together to install the memory (or replace the hard drive when the time comes). But, any laptop I've worked on in the past had its own special table hidden screws or special tricks for disassembly. So having an interview guide is a necessity to prevent the pests from plastic, clips, guides, mounts etc..

  Daniel9 is right. The memory cache location is placed at the bottom of the unit. I think that it s in the Middle
  So just remove the screws holding the cover and you could remove it.
  You asked the manual? Well, the upgrade procedure has been described in the user manual and you can download it from the page of Toshiba.

  This laptop came with 4 GB of RAM and I have try to install 4 GB more but don't know which compartment to open in the background. Theres is part of the environment that has all of the icons for HDD and REM there but there is no screw to open for that.

  It's so stupid, but I can't find how to install memory upgrade for my M400. There is nothing in the manual, and I can't find the memory expansion slot. I don't want to disassemble the tabletPC together, but it seems that the only way.

  I am new to this site and if possible need help.
  My partner has a Toshiba Equium L20-197 Notebook, she was constantly telling me that it's very slow and when I watched it only had 128 MB or Ram, she is running that Windows XP so he was advised to get 1 GB of Ram, which should help to speed up.

  To change the RAM on this model that s easy enough.

  Shut down the laptop, remove the battery and unplug the AC adapter.
  Turn the phone around, you can see on the side of buttom. Remove the cache memory that is fixed by 2 screws. Remove the screws and cover, then you can see the RAM slots.

  The cover of the memory is in the middle.

  I want to improve memory my equium l20-264 to the maximum which is about 2G I think and I was wondering what parts of memory I need to do this? He currently heads the 256 MB standard, but I'm not sure if I need to replace that with a higher memory 256 AND get a new one to compensate for the amount or if I can buy a souvenir that will do the job. Is also editing them something that I can do myself or should I consider somewhere for them to do?

  The other thing is the battery life is only 1.5hours and hoped to obtain a superior capacity for her battery? Anyone know if I can do it and so what battery need and how long it lasts?

  Hi the GATS.

  Your laptop has two banks of memory (usually accessible by a small flap on the bottom of the unit). He must have a slot in use at present with a 256 MB card installed. New RAM modules are available in sizes of 256 MB, 512 MB and 1 GB so to get all of the 2 GB, you will need to replace the 256 MB card existing with 2 X 1 GB modules.

  I don't think it will be possible to install an additional capacity for your laptop battery and 1.5 hours you CITIES seem just to me for this model.
