  Does anyone know how to change the WEP (?) details on an Equium M50, I just signed up to broadband wireless Orange and they tell me that their WEP key is 26 digits and look only some old pc for 23 codes numbers?   Available in two flavors, 64-bit and 128-bit static WEP. When you configure a channel key on access point or client device a hex (or ASCII) WEP came to represent the key.
  If you use WEP 128 bit, the user has entered the portion is 26 digits HEX (ASCII 13 characters)
  Encryption WEP 64-bit required 5 password alphanumeric characters numbers and 10-digit hexadecimal characters.

  I put t know what WLan application you use but generally if you have Atheros WLan card you should be able to change the encryption in the Atheros WLan utility.

  Referring to the above, I am able to download photos from my camera to my hard drive, but to download videos that I need to connect a firewire camcorder to the computer. There is no connector on the computer to take in this regard.

  I put t know if your camera has a firewire port, but if yes it is listed in the Device Manager as IEEE 1394 bus host controller.

  If your device doesn't have a firewire port, you can buy the PCMCIA card with firewire port. By the way: M50 has 4 USB ports (two in the back near LAN port and two near the DVD drive on the right). On models with firewire ports it is definitively placed near S-video output port as Michael described.

  I have read many topics all about problems with this unit, makes me regret buying the laptop, but for now, I'll have to try to fix it. My DVD device, I cannot access it if I put in a blank DVD or CD-ROM drive. When I click on the camera by computer or of the auto run pop-up menu, an error message appears saying "D: is not accessible incorrect function".   Recently rescued a laptop Equium M50 of my flat mate. Was a little out of adjustment. She said that I might have as could not get on the internet and it seems to be missing some vital files.

  Managed to get the wireless working again and little removed from the trash which was on it, but there are larger issues for example. Whatever it is USB I plug it will not install as there are no drivers on the HARD drive.

  I think that it probably needs to be formatted and have Windows XP Home Edition reinstalled but I did not all discs for her and do not want to spend hundreds of new software to purchase for it. Please let me know what are my best options.

  That s confusing you reinstalled Windows XP, but why you need the laptop drives? I mean if Windows XP is already reinstalled you can start with the installation of the driver. Everything can be downloaded on the official website of Toshiba:

  I have an Equium M50, recently the screen has gradually turned white, then move you the angle and it goes back normal tro, this wasent a major problem, BUT it's not all white.
