IM really desperate to find a solution to this since this computer contain

    > After removing the battery, BIOS ask me password
I know it may seem silly now, but I never heard of something like that. I use laptop for a long time and I had the experience with many others and strange question, but something like that, never.

Problem is that we are dealing here in the public forum and BIOS password is a very sensitive area and very important security feature, so we can not write here about some illegal ways how you can remove the BIOS password.

If there is no way to start your laptop, I recommend you contact the nearest Toshiba service provider and ask for help.

OK, I had the same problem on my hard drive missing hal.dll. My question is what windows xp writes the cmos on my computer? The reason why I ask, is that I physically removed the hard drive from the computer and then start the computer I get the same message hal.dll lack. Since the hard drive is not installed, the only place where this message comes's cmos or bios of the computer.
I know it seems odd, but I couldn't believe it when I saw it after removing the hard drive. It used to be with older computers and Windows 95 or 98 when you took a hard drive that wasn't working and installed with one that works from a different computer, you could swap out and boot the computer and make a few changes to some drivers if you.

So what is windows xp write to the memory cmos on my computer?

I think that you're wrong. I would like to say two things happening:

    1. you have more than one hard drive and the problematic drive was not removed, or

    2. you deleted something other than a hard drive.

Do you have a CD in your CD drive by chance?

I currently store my pictures on and an external hard drive.  Lightroom 6 was not able to find the picture momentarily files.  I inserted an external Flash DRIVE after removing the hard drive and the computer renamed the stick with the same drive letter that has been designated by Lightroom to store my photos.  I could go into my Windows 10 and reset the player to the letter that Lightroom has given at the beginning of the external hard drive.   However, I know this can happen again, if I connect any stick USD or another device, while the external hard drive is not connected to my laptop.   I found the information that I can do the new designation of the final drive by choosing a letter it is 1/2 way or higher in the alphabet.   I would like to turn an external hard drive on a strong letter, warns we hope this previous problem.   My question is, if I already have a lot of pictures on this external hardrive with the designation of the current drive, how it becomes a higher letter and have 6 Lightroom recognizes files, now under the new designation of drive letter without having to go to each photo individually and manually force Lightroom 6 find each photo.  It would take more time than I'd like to lose.  Is there a way to get just 6 Lightroom to recognize the new disk designation has changed and is able to find all of the existing files?

I have read the ADOBE LightRoom 6 manual and seem not to be able to find anything on how to do it.

    Any help would be welcome.

    Thank you!

So in Windows, you can select a drive like q letter (or any other letter you want only towards the end of the alphabet)

Then in Lightroom, you can reconnect to the photos on q: the following instructions (see specifically 4 Figure and related text)

  • Why FF is recommended to disable the Hotspot shield?

Hello... I see the warnings of FF on Hotspot Shield. In the last FF and HSS last, I see no problem of stability (18 months ago I wouldn't have said that). But then, there is still this warning.

The page explaining the warnings seem generic and covers a LOT of things.

Is there a particular problem these days with allowing the HSS/plugin extension?

Looks like it might get delivered with unwanted software and not following installation instructions. for use on Firefox. So it will be a case of use at your own risk.

I guess that if the software is not in conformity with a directive she can break also other guidelines.

  • After removing the Tdss rootkit, computer laptop My Windows Vista Home Premium keeps restarting after the connection. __

I had the Tdss rootkit on my laptop and removed using TDSS Killer of Kasperky. After the reboot, I have connected and saw a box that displays "Please Wait". After 5 to 10 seconds, my computer restarts. After the reboot, it shows options for Windows Vista loading, i.e. the safe mode, safe mode with network. I chose the mode safe mode with networking and everything works fine. The system properties box opens automatically. When I try to boot into normal mode, he repeated restart after the connection. I tried to run a restore of the system into safe mode with networking, but it tells me something about the system restore is in mode offline. I hit a brick wall and don't know what to do next. I don't want to if I have more options to factory default restore.

The TDSS rootkit is very destructive.  It is not uncommon to make a computer work is not properly after removing it.  I advise you to restore your computer to factory default.  Not only is this the best option, it's the safest option.  I wouldn't consider the computer to be trusted without going through the restore process.  Even if you can be sure that 100% of the infection has been removed, you have no way of knowing what changes the malware made to the settings on your computer, which may be exceptionally vulnerable to future malware attacks.

  • After removing the Dual Boot, I can't delete the old partition

Some time ago I installed an SSD and I have Windows 7 installed in Dual Boot with the Windows 7 system.
So, I had two versions of Windows 7, which worked well.

Now I no longer use the old system, I disabled the function of Dual Boot. I want to format the old drive, but it does not work because Windows still sees it as active system partition. In addition, I can't delete the partition.

How can I format or delete the old partition?

I already tried Msconfig, Bud that did not help. Default Msconfig begins with 'selective startup' and an operating system that is displayed in the Startup tab. When I select 'Normal Startup' there are two operating systems that are listed in the Startup tab. When I delete the old and reboot, it is back again...

    Who has the solution?

    (1) create a system repair disc (if you do not have an installation disk for Windows 7 for the version of Windows you have installed).
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/create-a-system-repair-disc

    (2) then remove the hard disk you want to format. Now try to start the remaining version of Windows. You should see a missing bootmgr message. Proceed to step #3.

    (3) Bootmgr is missing, message or black screen with cursor flashing
(See method #2 in this Wiki article)
    http://answers.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/wiki/Windows_7-system/Bootmgr-is-missing-message-or-black-screen-with/73fef5b7-5a7f-4910-a2b0-7219e9ec1646

    (4) after you have created the BCD store on the remaining drive (to step #3 above), it should start up on Windows and also be the partition 'Active'.

    (5) shut down the PC and set the old drive, turn on a load Windows and then delete all the remaining partitions on the old disk.

    Hello Wolfgang,.

You are not supposed to remove the user from the administrator that was used to install the software. You can lock that counts if him want, however, you do not delete the account
