  Norton Utilities has a section "Manage your Services" where I chose a minimum on commissioning.  I 'restored' Services '' recommended '' and all is good.

  I recently had to replace my hard drive, once this doing, I used the system restore disc and went so long processes. Now I show that I have 80 updates (which some go back to 07) and many are secruity updates. I tried to update and get some updates are not installed. Failure of 80 updates with error code 80246008.
