Error 46 on the installation, after having tried everything
I was recently informed that CC requires an update. Whenever I tried it the installer came back saying error 46 that a file or folder cannot be found (see previous issues for other users). I tried the installation with web browsers turned off and finally uninstalled, I tried with the firewall disabled. Reluctantly, because apps were working independently of Office CC, I uninstalled all applications and the CC in order to maintain updates and CC on re - install the feature. I ran CC Cleaner. I have disabled firewall, I uninstalled the browsers again.
I still get error 46.
It is purely a matter of CC, as applications worked perfectly fine before the installation, and, unfortunately, after recommendations from the forum, I am now without products that I pay my subscription for.
Does anyone have an idea what needs to be done, before you reinstall Windows 10?
Everything worked fine until last week.
Assistance or advice would be greatly appreciated, especially Adobe itself.

Unfortunately, this has not helped solve the problem. None of the described errors related to error 46.
I've done everything now, including uninstalling Windows updates and uninstall all Adobe products and remove the left on files and folders, even after running CC clean power off of security and software. Nothing has released the installer from error 46. I now reset Windows 10, which allowed the installation of CC and am currently reinstalling other software that has been lost in the process.
Needless to say, I'm not quite happy!

Absolutely not. You're misinterpreting things. Activation does not happen when you simply run the installer, although later. This means that what he says - there is another 'install' pending / assets on your system, which means somewhere, there is a process (invisible) always blocking things. If you are using Windows, you can check your task manager and to terminate any process setup.exe and msiexec.exe more potentially will need to manually fix / remove some registry keys. Andrew, thanks for your response. I tried all that. What happened... I was looking for solutions, I started having problems with my FireFox browser, then my IE browser. Then I noticed other problems of stability. Not sure what caused it, but I decided to just go ahead and restore my Win 7 in original factory condition and X 5 installed without a hitch. NET 4 doesn't load until after installation, so I don't know if it's causing problems, or if it was just my whole system. I think that a program back - up my data online in real time could be the cause of stability issues. In any case, five hours later, I got this job, and I don't think it was a problem of Corel.

I would suggest trying the following steps and check if it helps.
Method 1: Check if the Windows Installer Service is present and running on your computer.
a. click Start , click RUN.
b. in the run line, typeservices.msc and press to enter.
c. find the Windows Installer Service.
d. right-click on it and click on Properties.
e. set Startup type to Automatic , and then Start the service.
Try to install the software once again and check. If the Windows Service install is not present or it cannot be started, then follow method 2.
Method 2: Follow the steps in the Microsoft Article virtue and check following.

PC system is homebuild which, in theory, exceed the minimum requirements of the system of manufacturers. Operating system is Windows XP Pro with Service Pack 3. The scanner is connected to the USB 2.0 card that is not separately powered, but installed in the PCI slot.
