Error-50352 to DAQmx analog writing

Hello

I get the following error message when you try to write data points about 20 million to a Council of PXI - 6713:

Error-50352 occurred at DAQmx Write (Wfm Analog 1Chan NSamp) .vi:1

Possible reasons:

The requested memory could not be allocated.

Task name: _unnamedTask<1>

I don't understand the error memory. When this happens, use LabVIEW is, according to the Task Manager Windows, only 750 MB of memory, perhaps 950 MB max, and I ran things successfully when LV was used 1.6 GB of memory.  I have increased my settings of virtual memory to 3 GB for Windows Vista 32-bit. I have 4 GB of memory total, and I have a core duo 1.8 Mhz CPU.

My VI is attached. I read in a waveform of singles, do a conversion in rooms double and try to write to the Commission. I use DAQmx calendar sample clock instead of "Using the waveform", because using the sample clock results in one less copy of the data. I read the data in singles because that is how I write in advance, and it is much faster to read in simple it is double.

Is this something that will have to be split into several Scriptures? If so, how does that affect performance? I have a very limited time)<1s) to="" write="" this="" data="">

Thanks for any help and please let me know if I need to provide more details.

Hi Djaunl,

I ran your program with a DDHN file that I created and got the same error your saw.  I then ran the program with highest point running on - the light bulb it the top of the block diagram. I found that the error occurs on the second loop.  This leads me to believe that it was something to do with the implementation of the task.  When I replaced the clear DAQmx with DAQmx stop and this solved the problem.  The reason that this solves the problem, it is the DAQmx clear clears the task each time that the loop runs, thus freeing up your calendar information.  Whe you switch to stop DAQmx, task configuration information are not totally clear and the error is resolved.

  • Error-50352 DAQmx: How can I determine the maximum size of the buffer?

I use a card PCI-6259 with DAQmx (version 9.0.2) library and I get the error "-50352: memory cannot be allocated" whenever I try to make my record too long. Here are a few terms that I found:

1 channel of AI, 1Msample/s: 7.71 sec max

    1 channel AO, 1Msample/s: 7.71 sec max

1 channel of AI, 500ksample/s: 15,4 sec max

2 channels of AI, 500ksample/s: 7.71 sec max

    1 HAVE, AO, 1Msample/s 1-channel: 5.6 sec max

IF I can't acquire more 7.71 Msamples in a single task, be it in most cases, or AO. When you mix tasks HAVE and AO, this limit seems to be decreasing. This happens with a freshly started application, so I don't think that it is a question of compensation task.

What is a physical boundary with the device? (And if so, how can I determine this limit?)

My impression is that the device uses DMA to transfer samples to the system memory, which there are plenty - I can easily allocate more than 400 MB of contiguous memory in the same application.

    Hi Luke,.

The amount of RAM your system installed?

What operating system do you use? If it is a 32-bit operating system, using 3 GB or increaseuserva? These parameters have a compromise: they reduce the size of the kernel virtual address space. This increases the probability of DAQmx will succeed to allocate memory but do not reach the mapping in the kernel virtual address space.

Your system has all the devices with very large memory mapped I/O beaches, such as a video card with a large amount of memory on-board? On a 32-bit operating system, this can reduce the size of the virtual address space of the nucleus by a significant amount.

  • Departure of analog playback corrupts waveform analog writing

I came across a strange illness that can happen if I run a diagnostic routine on my system.  My routine of diagnosis is essentially four while loops, each containing code to control specific items in the hardware of the system. Two of the articles are DIO and worked still no problem.

(Am under LV 2013 on Win 7 with an acquisition of data PCI-6014)

The other contains a similar read using AI8 and the last analog writing on AO0.

When I run the analog writing task, I am animals in a waveform that essentially pwm output.  In itself, this works very well.  The only parameter that I change for waveform generation is the total time in seconds.  I put in two seconds and I get the result adjusted for 2 seconds.

The problem occurs when I try to do that and read the analog input (a simple voltage to a pressure transducer) at the same time.

If I begin the task of reading during the writing task execution, modulation goes high signal and the rest, do not turn off until I have force him.   If I have the task of reading running (in a loop remember if I can monitor the pressure) the writing of acts task still more wiggy.  When I start the task it takes perhaps 100-200 ms with the modulated signal and stops.  Fourth start-up, the signal going back straight to high and remained there until this that forced to withdraw.

So, is it a kind of limitation on this old material on reading and writing (at least a waveform) at the same time?

The writing task was originally created in the front of the loop and I tried to create it daqmx and using this, but it made no difference.  I use a schedule vi daqmx to set the frequency of sampling clock based on the same waveform with a setting of finite samples.

Any thoughts are appreciated.  It's not stop me from going forward, but I would like to know why it is the way it is.

    Thank you...

    Hi LabTech09,

When you run the executable file on the other computer, that's when you get this error?  You have the same exact versions of DAQmx and LabVIEW on both computers?  Is the dialog box allow you to navigate to the clear task.vi DAQmx?  If so, you can find these screws in C:\Program NIUninstaller Instruments\LabVIEW 7.0\vi.lib\DAQmx\configure\task.llb.  The executable runs on the development computer (the machine, it was compiled on)?

  • DAQmx shown writing as broken, carefully read

I'm trying to do a test day, it was originally at 8.6 and I took it in 11, also I can't work on it on the system where it is running. (it is heavily used)

I have exported and imported settings MAX from the old system to my system

the VI indicates the arrow broken and says Scripture DAQmx is broken, but if I open the DAQmx writing it does not show the broken arrow and works fine, no errors.

I tried to remove and reapply the call to the DAQmx but I get the same error, reading is not the problem.

I also tried to open a new project, same results, VI with DAQmx write shows the broken arrow, DAQmx only

the original app written in a NI PCI-6250, which I did not in the my system, if I make a DAQ Assit the 6250 appears, which in my mind means the importation of settign MAX worked, device also appears in MAX, but the DAQ seated VI is also marked as broken by the VI.

using LabView 2011 SP1 and 9.4 DAQmx, win 7 is the operating system

someone at - it an idea of what I'm doing wrong?

Try right-clicking on the DAQmx VI of writing on the block diagram, and then select open VI polymorphic. This will show you all the screws instance and report those that are broken.

  • Full scale PXI - 6254 DAQmx Analog Input

    Hello

I use PXI - 6254 Board to read the analog inputs. Configured channels using DAQmx create Channel.vi with sub parameters.

    In the configuration: CSR

    Min: 0

    Max: 10

    Units: Volt

I read the channel using DAQmx Read U16 2D with the sample of 1. I expected below the values.

    data of 0 v = 0

    10 volts = 65535 data

but it gives 10 volts = 31544 data. Please let me know why.

If I set up the channels with the settings below:

    In the configuration: CSR

    Min:-10

    Max: 10

    Units: Volt

    He always reads the same values (data 0 v = 0, 10 volts = 31544).

Please let me know, how I can get 10 volts = 65535

    Thank you

    Hi LVTestek,

The PXI-6254 is not an interval 0 to 10 V input V. The specification of 625 x OR lists the available input ranges:

    Entry level of ± 10 V, ± 5 V, ±2 V, ± 1 V, ±0, 5 V, ±0, 2 V, ±0, 1 V...

When you set Min = Max 0 = 10, DAQmx chooses the smaller input range that allows to measure signals between 0 V and 10 V without clipping. On the PXI-6254, the smaller input range that meets this criterion is the range of ± 10 V, where - 10 V corresponds to-32768 0 V corresponds to 0 and 10 V corresponds to 32767.

However, there is an additional complication: ranges entry on M Series devices are slightly wider to accommodate the software calibration. Otherwise, gain of a device could reduce the scope of actual entry, and offset error would move the ends of the effective input range. If the [-10 V...] 10 v] range on your PXI-6254 could be more like [-10.3 V...] 10.4 V]. 10 V is actually to 31544, rather than 32767. On another PXI-6254, 10 V could correspond to a different value of gross / scaleless and 31539 31552.

Another side effect of calibration of the software, is that the data returned by the flavours 'raw' and 'no' to the VI DAQmx Read are benchmarked. The KB explains further: is raw data DAQmx calibrated or chipped?

If you can modify your application to use one of the flavors "on the scale" (F64) VI DAQmx read, which should save a lot of effort. If not, could you explain why your program requires readings without scales/bullies? The right approach depends on the requirements. For example, if you want to save the data in a file and you need to reduce the file size by using raw data / scaleless, configuration DAQmx to save data directly a TDMS file can meet your needs. If you update an older application to work with DAQmx and M Series, a different approach may be more appropriate.

  • Runtime error example NOR-DAQmx ANSI C in the Windows 7 virtual machine

I am under a guest Windows 7 system with a host of Ubuntu 14, using VirtualBox and have encountered a problem running even the simplest examples provided by National Instruments, using the ANSI C API for NOR-DAQmx.

The first time that the DAQ hardware is turned on, I can run a single measure, and after that, any other indicator displays the following error message:

Attempted to read samples that are no longer available.
The requested sample was previously available, but has since been overwritten.
Increasing the buffer size, reading the data more frequently, or specifying
a fixed number of samples to read instead of reading all available samples
    might correct the problem.

    Property: DAQmx_Read_RelativeTo
    Corresponding Value: DAQmx_Val_CurrReadPos
    Property: DAQmx_Read_Offset
    Corresponding Value: 0

    Task Name: _unamedTask(0)
    Status Code: -200279

In order to start a new measurement, I have to restart the DAQ hardware, probably in order to clear the internal buffers that are in the process of substitution.

I am interested in a measure of continuous tension in basic by using a callback function. (The example of ContAcq_IntClk provided by OR)

The exactly the same setup, same version of NOR-DAQmx (9.7.5) and running on Visual Studio 2012 smoothly on a computer that is running Windows 7 directly.

I suspect that the problem is with the internal buffer being somehow messed up because of the connection with the Virtual Machine, but do not find an elegant solution to fix it.

The camera I use is NI USB-6289.

    Hello fromm8

Thank you very much for your help, I managed to locate the problem.

He was not the actual code, or something like that, it was a problem of communication between the VirtualBox machine and the physical device.

Kept launches MAX test panels a comparable as error the program C.

I fixed the problem by opting for VMWare, which seems to have the best compatibility with USB devices.

  • How to acquire and store the values of DAQmx analog voltage (I do not want the graphic, but strings and values in a chart)?

    Hello

How acquire and store the values of voltage DAQmx?

I tried several code example, but they can't get the chart. I don't want to chart. I want to measure exactly the analog voltage values and record these values - as an excel chart, that contains the selected channels and voltage values.

  • DAQmx: Analog input directly to the analog output at the hardware level

    Hi all

I searched for a while, but I couldn't find any suitable implementation for what I'm trying to do.  A person where I work introduced me to an interesting challenge.  Is there a way to set up a DAQmx task (or set up otherwise an MIO Board) to route an entry directly to an output to the analog analog hardware level?  You may be thinking, "why the hell would you do?  To reduce the electrical complexity, a colleague would like to concurrently read an entry while 'reproduction' of its signal on analog analog output.  I know that I can easily accomplish this while the buffering by the PC, but they are interested in ensuring that the output signal is also similar to the input at the level of KHz signal, by introducing a minimal difference in phase (shift buffering of the PC).

For the record, we have for most old maps of the E series here like the PCI-6070E (PCI-MIO-16-1).  I was first asked if it could be done through SCXI, but I figured I would start by asking about the MIO tips.

This looks like a long shot, and I've never heard of someone at - he never did this, but I thought I'd ask to be sure!

    Thank you

    Jim

    Hi Jim,.

With the help of our driver is not a means of generating data directly from the FIFO of AI, it must first pass through the software.  You can try the following code to the output of one of THE duplicate on the AO line to see what kind of delay you can imagine.  It is similar to your original with a few adjustments code:

Use delayed output Version of avian influenza in DAQmx AO

It seems you need to do, you might consider instead the search by using a voltage follower to isolate the Vout wine.

  • Error 1 has occurred to writing to text file

    Hey there!

I tried to write a VI that takes some steps to some specific period of time and then save it in a text file. But I get an error indicating that the input parameter is not valid in writing to a text file. This always happens in the second round of the loop. I've attached screenshots.

    Thanks in advance.

You close the file at the end of the loop and you never open it again.  Move the close file outside of the loop (after him).

  • Error-200257 with DAQmx

    Hey all -

We are using an architecture of producer-consumer to read data from the strain of two cells using a NI 9237 module and then write the data of deformation in a file when a simulated square wave exceeds a certain threshold value (this is supposed to simulate a digital triggering).  I get code error-200257 when I run the program. I tried this error code of online research and forums and have tried to manually increase the size of the buffer by adding in the entry Buffer.vi set up.  I also tried increasing and decreasing the sample rate and increasing by reducing the number of samples read by channel.  However, if the program is allowed to run for a minute or two, it ends by stops and gives the code of-200257 error.

I have attached my program below.  Any other suggestions as to what I might try next would be greatly appreciated!

    Thank you!

    Rachel

Why are you writing to the file of measure in two loops? That could cause an error bound to the buffer but this code does not refer to the size of the buffer.

  • error "memory is full" with writing a file permanently PDM

    Hello world

I know that the problem of "memory we complete" has been often discussed in this forum, and I have read these messages, but still could not solve the problem.

We have implemented a test function based on PXI5412 and 5122 modules. The program generates arbitrary waveforms to excite a DUT and acquires its response with digitizer and writing of the data acquired in a TDMS file (~ 40 MB for each measuring point). The program works fine in single point mode, i.e. in quiet passages. However, when I try to run it continuously in a loop TO measure several (up to 1,000) points, the program is always interrupted at halfway when ~ 10 GB of data is recorded with an error "memory is full".

My computer has 4 GB of RAM and the operating system is Windows XP Professional 32-bit. I checked the RAM usage when the error "memory is full" happened. in fact we at least 2.5 GB unused. I learned that maybe it's because he is not a continuous free space in RAM for data. It is also suggested to increase virtual memory to 3 GB for Labview by modifying the boot.ini file. But after I did the program meets still another error "Invalid TDMS" the file reference, and so I could not write all data to a file of PDM.

I joined the part of logging of data of my code here. Is there a another way around the problem of memory, as using the same block of memory for buffering of data between the memory of the digitizer and the hard drive?

    cheney_anu,

I need to know your details of tdms files before I could provide a buffer appropriate setting.

    for example,.

The current design: you write a tdms 40 GB file that contains 1000 groups (a point a group), each group contains 1,000 channels and each channel contains 1 d I16 table with 20 M of length. (Note: this 40 GB tdms file contains 1000 x 1000 = 1 M channels)

Change:, you could write 1 d I16 table instead of table I16 2D, which could reduce the number of channel 1 M 1 k, and then reduce the memory usage.

New design: you write a tdms 40 GB file that contains 1000 groups (a point a group), each group contains 1 channel and each channel contains 1 d I16 array with length 20G (for each point, call 'TDMS write' 1000 times in a "loop For ' and every time write 1 d I16 array with length 20 M). (Note: this 40 GB tdms file contains 1000 x 1 = 1 K channels)
