• Windows system error: a duplicate name exists on the network.

  I get an error message from windows at initial startup. The message is "Windows system error: a duplciate name exists on the network." How can I fix this?

  What version of Windows, including the service pack is installed?

  After the error, can you use the computer to access the Internet?

  You have a home network (i.e. more than one computer sharing an Internet connection) or this error pops up on a computer used in a business/company/Office?

  Assuming that there is a situation of home, what has changed recently in what concerns other devices (computer, printers, game boxes, etc.) added to the mix?

  How this computer is connected to the Internet?

  Make a right click my computer and select Properties.  Then click on the "Computer name" tab  The 'full name' should not be the same as the name of "workgroup".

  The error is a complaint that another device on any network to which your computer is connected to has the same name that the 'full name' shown in system properties (I assume that it is also possible that the error reports that there are two devices on the network with the same name even if none of these devices your computer).

  Although there are utilities that scan your network and to report the names of connected devices, they are somewhat nonsimple to use and may not work on a computer that will expose the error that report you.

  If your computer is on a home network, share an Internet connection using a router, you can manually check all other devices.  You don't maybe not easily able to determine the 'computer name' no computer network devices, but it is highly unlikely that such a device, for example, a network printer, would have the same name as your computer.

  Just to be sure there isn't something special going, disconnect your computer from your network (or your Internet connection) and then it reboot.  The duplicate name error should NOT appear if the computer is not connected to a network.

• "Run program in comments" VCO Workflow survey error "File < file name > is not found" not specified in VCO connected to VCD 5.1

  I'm trying to run a vbs script on a windows computer using "Run the program in comments" VCO Flow. I use the path of the entry only program and placed the script under the c drive to facilitate testing and you try to run a script of vmware for testing as follows. I get a VCO Flow error file < file name > not specified was not found. What is the problem with the entries.

  I'm still new to VCB, so I don't know technically what I do. The vmdk files reside on an iSCSI Lun and I point the Server 2003 Windows VCB to the LUN using the MS iSCSI initiator and he see LUN. It see it as "Healthy (Unknown Partition)", but it see IT. My guess is that it should be able to see the files in the iSCSI LUN?

  When someone registers on my registration form (http://puremediccom.worldsecuresystems.com/puremedic-guru-register) with a user name that already exists, the form is sent, but in the notification of workwlow I see behing username "ERROR: the user name you have chosen already exists." When you try to connect to the site it does not indeed.

  Is the best way around this to request an address of email as a username? Or is it possible to run the validation on the existing user name?

  I think that the workaround in this case, so need email address to match the username is to use some JS.

I provide a name for the password policy and use the simple field of policy, I created in the 'domain password policy", as well as some fundamental values. I know it is something simple, and yet I can not understand why the domain name would be incorrect.

  New user of the community, old mac user.

  Were trying to erase these two disks USB bootable "residue" I did and I get the same error listed above 'invalid name - operation failed' for both, tried in utility disk and with command terminal, terminal error said the drive was too small.

  Not 100% exactly sure what code I used to produce the error message said (do not remember so always copy paste sites) something along the lines of:

  diskutil eraseDisk HFS disk2 + 'name '.

  I use an SMU-5442 arbitrary signal generator and a PXI RF Upconverter - 5610. The RF PXI-5610 converter is PXI1Slot5 inside the MAX and the SMU-5442 AWG is PXI1Slot7.

If you specify the working group through the chain of the Option, make sure that the resource name of AWG is valid.
