Error access denied when the output directly to a shared folder

I have two workstations, the first working (PC1) of Windows Server 2008 R2 and the other work (PC2) of Windows 7 Professional.

I work on PC1 using the app called "MetaDimention" dealing with PDF files and generates output files as a separation of colors (CMYK color separation) TIFF files. The problem arises when I intend to exit that TIFF files generated by "MetaDimention" directly in the shared folder on the PC2 via the network "workgroup."

The 'MetaDimention' gives me the error message: JobTicketMerger: the data output destination '\\EQCENTER1\TiffOut' is not valid (ERROR_ACCESS_DENIED).

where "\\EQCENTER1\TiffOut" is the path to the folder shared network on PC2.

I noticed this problem when I using Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008, 2012 as an output destination, but there is no problem when the destination using windows server 2003 path.

I tried to Google the error message generated by the Application of MetaDimention and I found this thread on the other forum:

MetaDimension output error - problem

I have the same problem exactly as mentioned, it has, after several positions the person who asked about the problem, he said that he had found the solution by changing some services started as LocalAccount user! but I do not understand what it does exactly. and here's the quote from his original message: "solved!" some services started as LocalAccount, replaced by the user and all ok.

Please tell me what can I do to solve this problem in some detail.

Thank you

  • I get an error, access denied to the C:\Users\myuser\AppData\Local\Temp

Original title: access denied to the C:\Users\myuser\AppData\Local\Temp

    Hello

I have a problem with the Windows 7 C:\Users\myuser\AppData\Local\Temp temp folder. Sort randomly, I lose access to this folder, in the sense that if I open a cmd terminal and I try to cd to that folder, it gives an access denied error (at least that I start cmd as administrator). I noticed in the list of permissions on this folder does not appear the SYSTEM. I read somewhere that this is the problem, so I added back, and then it worked. Unfortunately it disappears every day the list of permissions, and I have to put in place every day which is annoying. Do you know what could cause this problem? How can I see which changes these permissions?

    Hi Razvan,

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community

According the information you have provided, I understand that you found error access denied when using certain commands to the command prompt. I will certainly help you in this matter.

    1. have you logged as administrator?

    2. do you have an antivirus software installed?

Some commands that you run at a command prompt, you need the administrative privileges for the good functioning of Windows.

  • "ERROR: access denied"on the partition does not work no security and takeown tab.

    Hi assistants.

It is my last resource to solve my problem, hope that someone can understand. Any help is appreciated.

I'm unable to takeown to my hard drive using one of the following:

    • Run cmd as admin takeown /f l:
    • Log in as administrator, cmd, takeown /f l:
    • Takeown /f l,: run takeown in Safe Mode (with command line),
It always returns "ERROR: access denied."

In the beginning, I have removed all the user/group permissions via right click-> properties-> Security-> edit and he urged something on the legacy, so I followed this and removed everything. (Little I didn't know that it can't be undone...)

Now when I right click on the drive and make appear the properties, there is no security tab and left click says access denied.

Sorry, I'm just ideas. Here are the options I have for you:
    (a) see if you can do something when the machine with your repair CD Windows 7 starts in a Repair Mode command prompt.
    (b) save the file elsewhere, and then format the partition.
    (c) let me take a look at your machine (because it is four eyes see more than two).

  • Error access denied when you try to compress a drive

Recently, I made an installation of Windows 7 Home Premium on a small SSD. In order to save space on the SSD drive, I tried to compress the drive. However, when the file in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\ink\Alphabet.xml I received an access denied message. When I look at the permissions of the "ink" folder, I see that administrators, creator owner, and system having NO right on the record either. Users have Read & Execute, display the contents of the folder and read permissions. The only other group with access is trusted installer with the rights of contents of folder list.

A random sampling of the files in the program files and the structure of the Program files (x 86) have similar permissions across, and I am also able to compress most of these files. I know that I was able to compress drives together before in Win7. What is wrong here? My user account is a member of the Administrators group.

    Thanks for the reply.

I'm sorry to know that the proposed methods previously has not helped.

I would like to inform you that you cannot compress locate some files in C: drive because some system files are currently in use by the operating system. However, it is not recommended to compress the C: drive as it can make the System unstable. Also if Bootmgr is compressed you will not be able to start the computer.

In addition, if you need more space on the C: drive, you can use the disk cleanup utility.
    Reference:
    Delete files using disk cleanup
Note: This removes temporary files, empty the Recycle Bin, and removes a variety of file system and other items that you no longer need.
Note: When you perform the system restore to restore the computer to a previous state, programs and updates that you have installed are removed.

    Thank you.
  • Win7 64 - Robocopy. I get access denied when the copy of the file c:\program (x 86) \ folder

    Hello

I try to copy the files in the folder c:\program (x 86) and continue to receive the access denied error.

How can I copy the files without getting that error?

I have read a number of forums on this topic and, in theory, robocopy is supposed to be the answer... but I keep getting access denied error.

    Thank you

You must run robocopy in a cmd with elevated rights.

  • Please check once more! Access denied when I tried to do my hidden folder not hidden.

So I did one of my folders - one with all my important data hidden. I can see the folder in the F-drive(where i saved it), but I cannot perform all the functions in this regard. I tried to change the attributes to no hidden, but every time I try I get the message error " is not accessible. Access denied» I am logged on as administrator... I NEED to recover the folder to normal because ALL my files and important documents are in this folder. Please PLEASE help!

I made a stupid mistake! I use windows XP, No 7...
I also tried the system restore. I can now open the main folder and all subfolders and files are still inaccessible...

    Hello

    Thanks for choosing Microsoft Community!

I understand that you are unable to view a folder it says access denied.

    Please answer these questions:

    1. don't you set security permissions on this file?

2 have you made any changes to the computer before the show?

Allow to refuse has precedence over the permissions, so if you accidentally clicked the box "Refuse" in security options, you may have removed your ability to edit the file in some way.  And since you are the administrator, it means that you will not be able to delete the folder at all.

At this point, your best bet is to try to take ownership of a file and then change the permissions.

    See the following article:
