• Problem with blackBerry Smartphones sms text

  Someone else had problems like these?  Here's what did my Bb Curve:

  For awhile, it was impossible to receive text messages.  I received emails fine, but sms text messages may appear momentarily in the folder and then disappear.  Even if the folder was empty, the signal icon, I got a text message appeared on my desk and would not go away.  MMS messages appeared for a minute or two and can be open, but then disappear mysteriously.  Weird, huh?  When all this was going on, everything moved very slowly on my Bb; for example, I would try to open an e-mail and would wait 30 seconds to a minute while the hourglass icon appears.

  But after a few days, the problems went away.  Just before I was about to take my Bb the ATT store, the screen turned white and the words "App Error!" and "Reset" appeared.  I clicked on Reset and after everything is back to normal.  So, a few questions:

  1. What's happening here?

  2. If this happens again, he would work to remove the battery and then replace? Or something else would work?

  It comes from occurring as you face constraints of memory in your device. The low memory manager (LMM) is activated automatically when the flash available on the BlackBerry smartphone memory decreases less than 400 KB. Flash memory is used to store such as Messages, calendar, Contacts, tasks, Notepad BlackBerry smartphone applications and third-party applications.

  Perform the following steps-

  1. Give a soft reset by removing the battery for 30 sec.
  2. Check the amount of memory is free in your device to Options -> status -> free memory. To view all aspects of database go to Option -> status -> click on the Menu button and then select the database size
  3. Remove the less frequently used application. To remove go to Options -> Advanced Options -> Applications -> highlight the application you want to delete-> click Menu , and then select Remove
  4. If you stored your image in the memory of the device to move them to your media card

  None of my sms texts will be turned off, will go just in a mode "on hold". I can receive texts, make/receive calls and make/receive emails. Someone knows how to fix this?

  As you say "Anymore" I am guessing that it used to work?

  Have you tried this:

  Make sure that the phone is on, not connected to anything...

  Then pull the battery... Its very important you don't turn it off first... This will cause to save its seen error...

  My text messages are not threaded more - every single incoming text appears even if it responds to a previous text.  I do not know exactly when this happened, but it's probably in the last week or so.  I have not installed any new apps and tried a hard reboot.  The only thing that I can remember recently is to remove my account gmail and adding a different Gmail (via BIS).

  I have not found any setting in my BB "BOLD" for this and I had no luck looking for an online solution.  Does anyone have any suggestions?

  Look at the Options > SMS text > number of previous items.

  What is your set number to? Set it to '7' and then observe what does what you want.

  I had a Blackberry Storm 2 9550 on the Verizon network for more than a year.  2 days ago I lost the ability to send SMS text messages.  My message screen looks as if it was sent, but no one received them.  No settings have been changed.  Help!  I tried all the tips and Web sites, but have not been able to find a solution to the problem.   got an answer on Crackberry and it's fixed!  I was connected to a wi - fi until Friday system.  Apparently, if you have a wi - fi connection, and then it is disconnected, you cannot send a text.  If you turn off the wi - fi and network connections, and then turn it back on only the network connection it text.  Irritating, but I'll remember to do the next time that I log out of a wi - fi system.

  Yes, you can. Open the message you want to save, press Menu > SAVE.

  Just hoping someone can know the best way to do it - old Sony K800i mobile SMS SMS that have sentimental value - want to keep dates and times, etc.--and move to desktop PC.  Was told NOT to take them for BlackBerry because it can cause problems, and it is very good if I can get them just for PC.

  All the world is that where it was a success and was not a problem - or has another problem?  If so, can you suggest what tool / 3rd party software to use it.  Phone is the phone previous version doesn't have appropriate menu options to use with PC Suite, etc.?

  Thank you - I have the USB cable and found some 3rd party software that keeps the date and time stamps of the SMS and allowed me to move them in a text file to the computer.  It was pretty easy once I got the tool to do so.

  Welcome to the community of BlackBerry Support Forums.

  To disable the integration of SMS in BlackBerry Messenger, please proceed as follows:

  1. open BlackBerry Messenger

  2. highlight and click the contact that you want to disable this feature for.

  3. press the key Menu , and then click remove the Contacts link.

  You will need to do this for each contact that has SMS enabled in BlackBerry Messenger.

  My Blackberry has deleted ALL my messages and from one of my contacts - the entire cat for several weeks has disappeared!  This includes images that contact sent me.

  Is there a way I can restore messages?  Please help, loans at all to get back them!

• BlackBerry Smartphones SMS text contains old message

  I am composing a new text SMS on my BB and offer her husband BB - his screen shows my message, and inside is a message sent on 21 Nov.  Its like the phone is fix or embed this old message in all the new texts.  New emails and MMS is not the old message, just the SMS mode.  We both removed the battery, cleared out all inboxes, outboxes, cleared call back info and its still there.  Any suggestions?

  It is not attached. But the just saved receiver device old message and it shows with the new message.
