I installed FP10 on Windows Vista & says it's full (shows the icon "F" flipping around & all).  But, when I try to open C:\Windows\system32\Macromed\Flash\Flash10d.ocx in my "C drive", I get a pop up window "Error opening file for writing" in this file and wants me to have an abortion.

I should be grateful if you would help a lot on what I should do.  Pages on Web sites take forever to download.

If you have installed the Active X, it should be there. In the case opposite and you try to install again, and the file is not yet there, check your IE settings to see if you have disabled ActiveX controls and change "Download signed ActiveX controls" invites together "run ActiveX controls and plug-ins" to activate or request.

Flash Player is not a stand-alone program. It is a browser plugin; do not find a desktop icon or start menu for it.

The instructions you found on the web are for Flash Player 9. Use these instructions to solve problems of Flash Player 10.

  • Error: C:\windows\system32\shsvcs.dll

    Hi Sallygbrentg,

    1. Since when are you facing this problem?
2 did you last modified the software on your computer?

Shsvcs.dll module is the Windows Shell Services dynamic link library and it has been written by Microsoft Corporation. The module is a component of the Windows operating system.

    Step 1:

Try the SFC scan on the computer.

SFC/scannow is a very useful command that you can use in any version of Windows. When the SFC (System File Checker) command is used with the/scannow switch, the tool analyzes all the important files of Windows on your computer and replace if necessary.

Missing and the corruption of the operating system (like many DLLs) files are probably the main cause of the major problems of Windows. In view of this, plus the fact that the SFC/scannow is completely automatic and very easy to use, the tool should be usually one of your top not troubleshooting.

    Step 2:

I recommend you perform the clean boot.

Put your boot system helps determine if third-party applications or startup items are causing the problem. If so, you need to maybe contact the manufacturer of the program for updates or uninstall and reinstall the program.

See the following article in the Microsoft KB for more information on how to solve a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or Windows 7:

Note: after a repair, be sure to set the computer to start as usual as mentioned in step 7 in the above article.

  • Message: Unable to save C:\\winXP\system32\macromed\flash\flash9b.ocx

Range of all-in-one printers, HP Officejet J6480.  Operating system WinXP, error message: C:\\WinXP\system32\macromed\flash\flash9b.ocx.  Asserts that it could not register.  The message of components new add frequently and tells me to insert the CD, then add.  I try to cancel, what can I do after several tests.  When I put in the CD, I have installed all the components so I go out.  A day or two later, the same message appears.  I looked on the internet and this seems to be a common problem, and for a payment of a fee, I can get a fix.  Can anyone help?

Go ahead and uninstall all the HP software on your computer. Reinstall the patch to make sure that uninstall does not delete anything from the patch. Finally, download and reinstall the software from here: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=mp-62866-1&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&os=228&product=3635378&sw_lang=

It seems that the patch can have 'broken' solution Center. Just need to be reinstalled.

    Hello

From Windows 8 Microsoft embeds Flash Player in the browser.  This includes Windows Server 2012.  For this reason, Microsoft locks the permissions on files to prevent users to erase files.  Microsoft does not provide a standalone installer of Flash Player for IE/Edge on these platforms and all updates from Microsoft via Windows Update.  By force to unlock the file and forcing the removal of the file you probably made your system unable to re - install Flash Player because there is no separate standalone installer for Flash Player on Windows Server 2012.  If you do not need Flash Player on this system, which is not a problem.  But if you need Flash Player on this system, you can, or can be not, be able to reinstall it.

    Hello

installation of install_flash_player_11_plugin.exe ends with the error message that flashplayer.xpt cannot be written to C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash due to lack of rights.

    Who can help me?

Please do not hesitate to send it to me at [email protected] or post somewhere like dropbox or sendnow and send me the link.

I also received an email from another client this weekend who had encountered a similar problem.  Here's what they found and how they have managed to solve the problem:

The reason for blocking files flashplayer.xpt was the ThreatFire program.
Although I removed the auto-start program and found no entry in the Task Manager was running of a service of ThreatFire and blocked the installation process.
After uninstalling ThreatFire completely from the computer, I had no problem to install flashplayer.
