Error code 0001, 0002 trying to install Canon Pixma MX-455

Hello
Maybe someone can help me with an error code 0001, 0002 problem I installed a Canon Pixma MX455 printer to my Windows 8 PC by LAN network and all is well. Then I tried to install it on my Windows 7 wife's PC by using the CD Canon but gor the error message above. I contacted Canon who advised to uninstall the old drivers and installation using this link
http://www.Canon.co.UK/support/Consumer_Products/products/Fax__Multifunctionals/inkjet/PIXMA_MX_series/MX455.aspx?DLtcmuri=TCM:14 - 1058631 & page = 1 & type = download
I used GhostBuster to uninstall the old drivers and tried the link but got the same error code message. I contacted Canon once again, but they siad, it must be a mistake by Microsoft and communicate with you. I should add that the device appears on the PC of my wife as a device, but "not configured properly".
Any help you can give? I saw the posts on a similar thread, but they are not helping
