  • Vista - error code: 80070424 & dt000 (cannot install updates)

    I turned on my computer this morning and shortly received the message that updates did not.  When I clicked on the message, above what was evidence.  I tried to do some troubleshooting on mine, without success.  I had received an error message telling me that an unauthorized change was made to Windows (which I did) and that I receive no updates on my license or activation of last week.  I went through the process to validate the system.  I went for the weekend, and this is what I came back.

    I come to you to ask for help.  I am running Windows Vista.  Any help would be appreciated.

    Is your system in normal boot mode?

    Sometimes, this error can be produced when the system is in selective startup mode. As such, I would like take you a look at this.

  • Vista - Error Code: 800700 1 (cannot install updates)

    Here are some things you can try to resolve the error code with regard to the update of Windows.

    Method 1:

     

    Make sure that you connect from an account with administrative rights to complete these steps.

    (a) click Start.

    (b) type cmd in the Open box, and then click OK.

    (c) at the command prompt, type "net stop wuauserv" without the quotes and press ENTER.

    (d) type "rmdir /s % windir%\softwaredistribution\wuredir" without the quotes and press ENTER.

    (e) when you get the prompt, 'are you sure (Y/N)?"type Y.

    (f) type net start wuauserv, and then press ENTER.

    (g) try to install updates again.

    Method 2:

     

    Reset the Windows Update components and then try to perform the updates.

     

    Click on the correction of these components to zero automatically.

    I'm unable to install the following updates. Update of Windows has worked up until this last batch.

  • Vista - Error Code: 800736B 2 (cannot install updates)

    I am running Vista Home Basic Edition and have been impossible to install SP1 or 99.9% of other updates.  I tried to update, the standalone version and the tool rediness and probibly methods more that I don't remember.  In addition, my connection constantly drops, could only be linked to the absence of SP1?  Any help would be appreachiated.  Thank you

    If the problem persists after trying the steps suggested by "Jose Antonio Ponton Posada CEO", I suggest you to manually install the updates one by one on your computer and install it using the cleanboot and check if the problem reappears.
               
    Download and save the Setup on your desktop package and try to install the same one by one and check what update is causing the problem.
        
    To do this, you must enter the number of the Windows Update in the search field in the link provided below.

    To set up the computer in mode cleanboot this procedure below.

    Method 1:

    I suggest you check the update history if you found the other error codes for updates failed. If you get errors, we provide the same help you at best.  You can check with the update exactly, you get the error message. CDevil recent updates installed on your computer.
    View the history of updates-

    a. click on start, settings and control panel (all items view). Click the Windows Update icon.

    b. click view update history link.

    c. to view the details of a single select statement updated and right-click on a windows update list, and then click details. Click on close when finished.
