Error creating socket to host: reason: Connection refused: connect

I'm moving an old x 32 server for a new 64-bit server x.  With the help of Adobe support, I finally got CF8.0.1 running on the new server: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/470337?tstart=0.

I'm now trying the CF8.0.1 standard on the x 64 new machine to connect to SQLServer 2005 x 64 bit. All of the databases I try installation on the new server running on an x 32 with CF8.0.1 and SQLServer 2005 x 32.

CFVerInfo.JPG

Using the type of SQL Server disk I get the following error:

"Connection verification failed for data source: PHREDsevenSQL.
java.sql.SQLException: [Macromedia] [SQLServer JDBC Driver] Error establishing socket to host and port: DELLx64Server:1433. Reason: Connection refused: connect
The root cause was that: java.sql.SQLException: [Macromedia] [SQLServer JDBC Driver] Error establishing socket to host and port: DELLx64Server:1433. Reason: Connection refused: connect. »

Using the ODBC Socket type I don't get an ODBC DSN name in the selection box so I can not actually try this type of connection. I tried the x 32 and x 64 bit ODBC system configurations.

P7SQL_def.JPG

I checked the following:

SQLServer configuration: the port is set to 1433.

Password and user name are correct.

I looked for a x 64 bit SQLServer for CF8 on Adobe, but could not find one. Perhaps one is already installed.

If anyone has a suggestion or a solution, I would appreicate your help.   Thanks in advance for your help.

Things to check

1. is the SQL authentication is enabled on the new SQL Server?  This is disabled in the default installation.

2. no SQL server accepts remote TCP/IP connections?

a. This article may help:

    Concerning

    You may need to enable tcp/ip

    SQL Server Express to listen on the named pipes and shared memory. With a default installation, you can not connect remotely to SQL Server Express. You'll need to enable TCP/IP and check if the firewall is enabled.

    To enable TCP/IP:
    On the start menu, choose all programs, point to Microsoft SQL Server 2005, point to Configuration Tools, and then click SQL Server Configuration Manager.

    Optionally, you can open the computer by right click on Desktop Manager then choosing manage. In computer management, expand Services and Applications, SQL Server Configuration Manager.

    Expand SQL Server 2005 Network Configuration, and then click protocols for InstanceName.

    In the list of protocols, right-click the protocol you want to enable and then click Enable.

    The icon for the Protocol change to indicate that the Protocol is enabled.

    See you soon

    Hello

    I get the above error when trying to configure with shared services.

    Version 9.3.1 database is oracle 10.4, I thought is a host name error, I tried with the ip address, but the problem is still there.

    We need to establish a JDBC connection to the server where I do the install, my database is on another server.

    Please let me know your updates and how to solve this problem. or is there a problem of \n(Assurez-vous DB.

    Thank you

    Sudhakar salvation, you must use the exact client version when possible; your JDBC driver problem is not related to the version of the client...

    The customer is not used by the components Web J2EE for example the Foundation Web Services (Shared Services), RA Framework Web (Workspace), EPMA Web, financial reports, Web planning, Web...

    If you use these components, it is used by the part IIS of EPMA, HFM and FDM.

    Your DBA confirm that you use indeed to connect the correct listening port? If the telnet test works you will see it go with a blinking cursor. When it fails, you receive the message: "could not open connection to the host, on port: XXXX...". ».

  • Problem creating socket in Blackberry 6 connection

    I have an application that connects to a server over tcp using the socket «;» deviceside = true' flag... the app works fine on other games except, "BOLD", which is being upgraded to OS 6.0 blackberry... any help would be greatly appreciated...

    Thank you.

    As dx22, I would like to know the error you see too,

    I also want to confirm that you are aware of the different methods of connection and the implications of these.  « ; deviceside = true is one of the many options that, as you see here:

    http://supportforums.BlackBerry.com/T5/Java-development/different-ways-to-make-an-HTTP-or-socket-con...

    Specific to the «;» deviceside = true' is the condition for APN information, perhaps the reason that your OS 6.0 device does not connect is tat this device doesn't have the correct information of the AFN.

    This could help you automate finding the information of the AFN.

    Designated operational entities the above exception occurs when the database is unavailable and weblogic attempts to create the connection to the database using the file descriptors in turn that is causing the files too many error messages.

    Please feel free to correct me.

    Thanmks in advance :)

    It occurs when the database is completely down.
    But it could happen if the database is blocked and you try to create a large number of connections.

  • vMotion fails at 9% - Source host cannot connect to the destination host

    Hello

    I wonder if someone could shine any light on why vmotion fails to occur between an ESXi host who has just been restarted, in order to test HA. I have the following configuration:

    3 x ESXi5 DL360 G7s with two 4-way NIC

    VSphere Vcenter 5

    1 x cluster configured for DRS HA

    2 x Procurve 2910 - 24G

    The switches are not connected to each other.

    Both switches are configured as such:

    1894901.png

    All ports are not marked. NO PLEASE, no routing

    Each host vMotion vSwitch is connected to two switches by 1 x 1 GB nic

    I configured a vswitch on each host of vMotion. There are two ports vmkernel with two IPS on the same subnet. There are two vmnic attached to the vSwitch. On each port, a Vmic is configured to be active while the other is unused. I enabled frames on the vSwitch and 2910 switches. A VLAN has been configured on the two predisposees 2910 for vmotion with frames and defined traffic on "no label". I can successfully vmkping all the ip s vmotion on all ESXi hosts. However, when I test HA by stopping an ESXi host, when I restart the ESXi host I am unable to vmotion in that ESXi host. When I test vmkping I find that the host rebooted can only vmkping itself and no other host can vmkping it. Vmotion attempt fails on 9% and errors with the source host cannot connect to the destination host. If I restart the two switches of 2910 I can then perform a vMotion and the vmkping is a success.

    Help, please?

    Thank you

    I have since read up on the various load balancing options and find that your method is preferable during the method of "ip hash.

    I'll make the change to "port based" and link the two switches

    Hello Simon, I think it's a good option to do, since the hash IP load balancing is a bit special and really requires both interfaces to connect to the same physical switch, which must also have a specific configuration. If you like the results after the new changes.

    I can connect with the VI Client also without problem.

    The problem has been resolved.

    The fix:

    =====

    # vimsh-e - n/hostsvc/hostsummary | grep inMaintenanceMode

    Using the libcrypto, version 90809F

    inMaintenanceMode = false,

    # vim-cmd/hostsvc/hostsummary | grep inMaintenanceMode

    Rationality for the problem is these commands (vim - FCM or vimsh) were unable to communicate due to lack of xinetd process.

    / * Further consideration on the problem of starting XINETD * /.

    Further examination shows that the xinetd is unable to start because he believed NETWORK unavailable.

    Starting xinetd uses the contents of the sysconfig file where there was an entry incorrect "NETWORKINcesv = yes". We have corrected this entry and restarted xinetd process.

    After this correction, xinetd is restarted, the system seems to be normal.

  • I can't create a new site of catalyst for business with Dreamweaver CC 2014. The error message states that Dreamweaver cannot connect with the server, try again later. How can I solve this problem?

    I can't create a new site of Business Catalyst with Dreamweaver CC 2014 (Mac). The error message states that Dreamweaver cannot connect with the server, try again later. In addition, I am also unable to load remote site Business Catalyst created previously as it says that there is something wrong with my user name or password. However when I put my password and press to test the connection, he said that it has connected successfully. What is wrong and how can I solve this problem?

    Thank you

    Thanks for the reply, however it seems to work again after I removed some unused Dreamweaver sites in the section "manage sites" in Dreamweaver.  It may have been a conflict of name or something.

  • Error creating connection tool instance. ODDC

    Oracle distributed Document Capture installed on the server, everything seems fine, but what connection I get the following error

    Error creating connection tool instance. [ActiveX component cannot create object]

    ODDC vercion is 10g
    It will install on Server 2008 R2 64-bit

    You are using version ODDC: 10.1.3.5.1? From this version, Windows 2008 R2 is supported. However, a 32-bit Java Virtual Machine (1.6.0_10 or later) must be installed and in the path, otherwise you won't be able to open the WebCaptureAdmin.html page. Client side, you can open ODDC Capture customer only in the browser of 32 bits (due to 32-bit only supported ActiveX).

    Kind regards

  • Hosting with Go Daddy - error creating folder //images

    I just tried to download my Muse 2.0 on GoDaddy site and saw this arror in point 60% complete.

    Error creating folder //images

    So, here's a solution that works...

    After viewing the site at the main directory HOST example... / host/45/37857485/html

    Go to the GoDaddy localize file manager html folder that your files are backed up to...

    Click on move

    Choose the HTML (home folder)

    That all of your files will go to the desired destination.

  • Error creating database link!

    Dear all,

    I'm in a strange problem to connect to the database between the RAC and single Instance database. The two databases are 11 GR 2 and on Linux platform.

    On a database that is CARS, my settings are as follows:

    view the global_names parameter.
    Value = TRUE

    Select Rename global_name;
    RACDB. DOMAIN.COM

    Although I ran the race:
    ALTER DATABASE RENAME GLOBAL_NAME to RACDB and bounce the database after this command, but still it shows RACDB. DOMAIN.COM

    When I see the db_domain parameter
    Value = (NULL)

    tnsnames.ora is

    GGBKP =
    (DESCRIPTION =
    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP) (HOST = 192.168.20.182)(PORT = 1521))
    (CONNECT_DATA = (SERVICE_NAME = GGBKP))
    )

    On the other server, my settings are as follows:

    view the global_names parameter.
    Value = TRUE

    Select Rename global_name;
    GGBKP

    When I see the db_domain parameter
    Value = (NULL)

    tnsnames.ora is
    RACDB =
    (DESCRIPTION =
    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP) (HOST = 192.168.20.29)(PORT = 1521))
    (CONNECT_DATA = (SERVICE_NAME = RACDB))
    )

    OK, now when I create the link DB from one server to another by using the command:

    Server a

    create database GGBKP link to connect to streamadmin identified by streamadmin using 'GGBKP ';

    and run this query

    Select sysdate dual@GGBKP it gives an error:
    ORA-02085: database link GGBKP. DOMAIN.COM will connect to GGBKP

    the second server

    SQL > create database RACDB link to connect to streamadmin identified by streamadmin
    2 using "RACDB;

    Database link created.

    SQL > select sysdate dual@RACDB;
    Select sysdate from dual@RACDB
    *
    ERROR on line 1:
    ORA-02085: database RACDB link connects to the RACDB. DOMAIN.COM

    Where is the problem in the settings and how to get rid of this problem. I have to keep the overall name of TRUE because replication streams.

    Kind regards
    Imran

    Probably that does not help.
    The problem is on the server 1, Server 2 is OK and works as expected.
    For some strange reason, server 1 still picks up "domain.com".

    At this point, I would probably question sys.props$ (where it is stored) or consult the global_names view definition.
    I would not immediately update sys.props$ with the correct value.

    I would also like to run lsnrctl services: if properly configured global_name and service_name in lsnrctl match.
