• Firefox won't download a zip file

  There is a chat Board that I belong, and they published a zip file. It looks like a white sheet of paper with a folded corner and said zip on it. When I put my cursor on it, this kind of moves upward and says so at the bottom, the name of the file and then the file. 260K zip, but I can't click on it so that it can download, save, open, reject, nothing.
  I think I downloaded the zip files in the past, but for some reason some can't upload this one.

  I was not familiar with the extension ModPlugin. It works on the site that has the problem? If so, could test you with the disabled extension? You can do this by restarting mode safe mode of Firefox, or manually in the page modules. Either:

  • CTRL + SHIFT + a
  • Firefox orange (or the Tools menu) button > Add ons

  In the left column, click Extensions.

  If this extension is not relevant for the site that has the problem, or if the problem persists after you disable it, can provide you a link to the site if someone could check it out?

When I burn songs on CD and play on a hifi-system string - they are OK - but when I want to play with media player there is no bass. I took a (Cinch) cable and connect it to the stereo and there is the problem with the low...-channel stereo is o.k. - cable is correctly mounted.
  The mp3´s are not damaged... (When I burn an audio CD and play - the bass exists.) the RCA cable is OK - I checked it...

  Is it possible that the sound chip is damaged? In the settings audio are no failures indicated.

  I guess that the Toshiba Virtual sound utility has been pre-installed on this laptop.
  There you can change and set the audio settings for example: level trueBass.
  I think you should open this utility and if you n t know the option use simple help this utility
  You have to press F1 to launch the help document.

  PS: If you have connected the laptop to stereo and use the stereo settings you should try to disable the virtual sound utility on the laptop

  There is no need to disable the full filter list, only the particular filter rule that blocks this content must be disabled for this site. If you disable the filter all the value, then you do completely useless ABP. You can probably click or right click on the ABP icon on the bar of modules to see what to be blocked and by what article. I've never used ABP personally, so I can't give precise instructions.

  Try this
  go to where you saved your file in windows Explorer, and then press alt + T or go to the Tools menu and choose folder options... and then here in view tab uncheck "Hide extensions for known file types" and click on apply, then ok, now change your extension file manually renaming for example, if you have file.mpeg rename to file.MP3 then try to open it!

  I am running windows xp sp2 and I put my site to dowload under (Tools/options), but when I select an MP3 file to download, firefox does NOT copy the file to my location of choice on my HD - instead, it opens a new window with a 'player' of fortune and starts to load the player with the MP3 file. The problem is that I have no idea where on my system, firefox has copied this file, so, I can't leave and come back later and read this MP3 file using winamp. I need to hear right then or lose - if I close this new window (with this puny little ' player'), then I lose the download, there where to put firefox on my PC (I have no idea where it is).   I also use FIrefox 12.0 on an older windows 2000 machine and that works perfectly - I can download any MP3 file, I want to, and downloads of firefox 12.0 (on win2k, sp4) to my location (on my HD), and it gives me the download window so I can watch its progress and have some control over break and resume , and, when it's done, the download window offers me the option 'open containing folder' so I can make sure that where I wanted. In other words, Firefox 12.0 on WIn2k, sp4 works better than firefox on winxp sp2 25.0! What gives? I went through and set up my options for XP just like I did with Win2k and everything looks good, but firefox 25.0 don't know just my chosen and always default place to give me fortune player and I am not able to actually copy the mp3 files on my hard drive - it's firerox almost unusable 25.0 since downloading mp3 files is a big part of my use firexfox - please help. I am not able to upgrade windows at this time, and since firefox 12.0 still works fine on win2k, I do not understand what has happened to firefox?

  If you are able to play other audio files, probably the file you are trying to read is damaged or did not download properly.

  I get the error Windows Media Player 11.0.6001.7007.  "Windows Media Player encountered a problem while playing the file. For any additional help, click Help on the Web frequently. "What happens on the music or video files even those I had on my PC for a long time.  They work some days and other days they don't.  I have to reboot to clear it and it's really annoying. I can read a file and then 10 minutes later the same file will not play.  Sometimes after the error message, if I don't click Close, the video is not yet but the audio will not.

  I'm on a laptop HP DV5 with vista 32-bit and 4 GB memory such that shipped HP (Yes, 4 concerts and 32-bit).

  I don't know if it was related, but IE7 would continually fail to open, click on through the windows and should be completely closed.  essentially the WMV and IE are fails miserably on this laptop, and it was only 6 months old.  Firefox fixes my problem of browser.
