  • I got error explorer.exe trying to connect in XPpro SP3.

Another account could connect, but got the same error when opening IE8.

I tried to repair Windows by using the original CD Windows XPpro went OK and the repair went well without any problems, but when I tried to connect to my XP account, I got the same error as before.

    Hi Coroboree,

You receive this error message when you log in to accounts of users or during startup in Windows itself?

If you get this error message only with a particular user account, the account could have been damaged.

You can try to create a new user account and check if the problem occurs.

If you are able to resolve the problem, then refer to the following article to fix the damaged user account.

Original title: Explorer.exe application (oxc0000022) after an abnormal shutdown on Vista error

After my child presses the button market stop on my Control Strip, I rebooted my computer and got this message. I use Windows Vista! Application error Explorer.exe (oxc0000022), I tried the system restore to an earlier date, but I still could not load windows except Mode without failure. How can I solve this problem?

    Hello

1st thing to try is a restoration of the system in safe mode

    http://www.windowsvistauserguide.com/system_restore.htm

    Windows Vista

    Using the F8 method:

    1. Restart your computer.
    2. When the computer starts, you will see your computer hardware are listed. When you see this information begins to tap theF8 key repeatedly until you are presented with theBoot Options Advanced Windows Vista.
    3. Select the Safe Mode option with the arrow keys.
    4. Then press enter on your keyboard to start mode without failure of Vista.
    5. To start Windows, you'll be a typical logon screen. Connect to your computer and Vista goes into safe mode.
    6. Do whatever tasks you need and when you are done, reboot to return to normal mode.

If that does not read this information

the link below is how to download and get a vista disk startup repair, which you can start from the

  • Microsoft Visual C++ runtime error library! Explorer.exe

Hello. This issue has recently become a major problem. (A little) I know the cause of the problem; However, I'm not 100% sure of it. I get this error every time I have name a folder symbol (tested with-, ~,!, and @), then try to right-click or rename the folder. It's the exact error message I receive:

    Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library

    Runtime error!

    Program: C:\Windows\explorer.exe

This application has requested the execution to terminate in an unusual way. For more information, contact the application support team.

Although this error message on my screen, explore continues to work very well; However, as soon as I click 'OK' or try to X out the window, explorer.exe stops and restarts. I saw several other users showing similar problems with explorer.exe crashing on a right click on the files, so I tried to follow some of the steps they did to solve my problem. The majority of the questions that I looked through suggested the deletion/modification of certain registry entries. I followed all the steps and changed the various inputs with no luck.

After looking through all the possible solutions for explorer.exe crashing on a right click, I migrated in search of solutions for "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library error explorer.exe." I found few who have had a similar problem and received this error on click with the right button on the files, but my question was still a little different. This problem does not affect all my folders or a specific file. This problem affects any folder with the name of a symbol.

I currently have a folder on my desktop named "-" (without the quotes) with most of the files on my computer inside. I just want to rename the folder without having to go through a lot of trouble. Rename the folder via CMD is not a solution. I get the "Access denied" message even if I run cmd.exe as administrator. I then started looking for ways to workaround for this lack of access and found a few useless solutions. The first solution I found suggested that I have change permissions for the folder. This was not helpful, because it was a right click on the file (out of, I can't do...). Another solution suggested to start the computer in safe mode and rename it from there. It also did not work, I still received the error "access denied."

I'm kind of at a loss on what to do now. Here is a list of all the things I've tried, so please do not re - suggest what I've tried:

    • Restart the computer
    • Changing various registry files
    • Reinstallation of Microsoft Visual C++ (14 versions I had...)
    • Try renaming the file via the command prompt (w / run as administrator)
    • Try renaming the file via the Safe Mode command prompt
    • Scan my computer with antivirus (...) software

There are probably a few more things I have tried and I forgot to include. This problem is happening for over a year now, so I had time to try a large number of possible solutions. I still have to find another person with exactly the same problem as me (the problem does not occur on files named a symbol). I do not plan to try to try reinstalling windows (/ create a restoration/image/etc.) I have quite simply do not have the time and should not have to reinstall my entire operating system to solve a stupid question. If it comes down to it, I'll just create another folder and move all my folder name "-" to the new. The only reason why I was stay to do this, is that the record is more than 100 GB. I believe there is a solution more simple I am just missing.

Sorry, this message is rather unorganized. I am very frustrated by this issue and find a solution fairly quickly.

Thanks in advance for the advice I received help.

    Clay S.

  • Explorer.exe crashes by clicking the context menu items

    Hi guys,.

I have XP Professional SP3 and when I right click on a file and select a voice as 'open' or 'open with' from the context menu, explorer.exe crashes...

The description of the error event is (in Italian):

"Application che ha provocato error explorer.exe, version 6.0.2900.5512, modulo che ha provocato error unknown, version 0.0.0.0, address error 0 x 00000000."

By further information, using the guide in linea e supporto tecnico all' address http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp. »

    What can I do?

    Thank you

I'm sorry that I can't read your beautiful Italian, but problems with a right-click are most often caused by a third-party software that inserts entries in the context menu. You can fix the latter with ShellExView free utility.

  • Windows 7 explorer.exe crashes when you go to properties.

Hello, I have a windows 7 Ultimate x 64. I was working on my PC after using Windows Update, and when I go to check the properties of 'Computer', it crashes. I tried rollbacking that updates, but that has not worked, and the system restore is irrelevant. Also, now I have to pay almost all of the programs to run in "Windows 7", on a Windows 7 compatibility mode! Is it a mistake to register when you enter the properties of the computer? Please help since my error is specific.

    I managed to fix it.

Those who have the problem, try turning off graphics driver via Device Manager and go to the properties of the computer, if I'm right, it should not give the error explorer.exe. If so, I recommend that you have installed the previous version of the driver for the card.

And auggy, I erase the DLL, they did not affect the operating system. Thanks for your help.

  • process Explorer.exe starts is not on the invited sessions clone machine or related

I'm running into a problem where the guest PC that I use as my main image is starts the process explorer.exe at startup.

It's an XP image. I came across this issue before when I deployed the linked clones, I connect to the pool, open a session and I would just get the wallpaper, and that's it. I would then have to manually start the explorer.exe process to see my icons, start menu, taskbar, etc...

I thought that my image was corrupted, so I just create a new one, but I came across the same issue just after that I installed the VMview agent on the system.

Everyone knows about this problem? If so how do solve you this problem?

3.1.2 was released.  Has anyone tried it yet?  I plan to try today.

Make sure you have backups of all important data for you (Favorites/internet Favorites, music, photos, documents, spreadsheets, presentations, drawings, numbers of series and product keys and installation to start with media) as soon as POSSIBLE.

Format and start from scratch OR use the 'Restore Factory default' the manufacturer can give you.  Your stuff of restoring a backup after installation of your spplications on the machine.

Why?  If this system is still messed up after cleaning a virus/trojan/worm/spyware/adware/malware - it may have to discover/waiting more moving and / ore actually operate 100% may take longer to restore to the Virgin (not to mention you can never achieve 100% otherwise.)

  • Explorer.EXE error after the restoration of the ERD Commander

    Dell Inspiron B130

    Windows XP Service Pack 2

Recently performed a HD format and new installation of XP SP2. After I installed all the drivers and others, I checked that the system was operating normally. After a few days of use, Windows Update downloaded Service Pack 3 and asked me to install. I started to install SP3, but at about 50%, the laptop battery is dead at Midway through the installation. I plugged the laptop on the power source and power. I restarted the laptop and XP started only a completely black screen and the white slider. No ALT + CTRL + DEL, desktop icons, etc.

I rebooted the laptop of ERD Commander, ran the restore system and selected the first available Restore Point. Point of restoration chosen was recorded a few days before, and was the first recorded point after the clean installed XP. I rebooted the XP system. Wallpaper loaded with white cursor, but NO start menu or desktop icon. A message appears saying "Explorer.EXE Application error, press OK to exit the application" or something very similar. Did not write the error code, but can get if necessary. If I press the OK button (which is my only option), there is still no icons on the desktop or the start menu. Only the cursor. No access ALT + CTRL + DELETE or something like that.

Thinking about completely wipe the system and reinstalls the operating system. Any suggestions before I jump in this solution?

Explorer.EXE error after the Restore Point of ERD Commander. Dell Inspiron B130. Recently clean installed XP SP2 on laptop. Installation of SP3, to 50%, battery dies the laptop right in the middle of the installation of the SP3 update. Restarted, XP starts with black screen with cursor only. ERD restart order and restore XP to the last known good config (I choose point immediately after XP clean install). Reboot to XP. Now the wallpaper shows as well as the error message saying "Explorer.exe Application error, click OK to exit Explorer" dialog and then I can't access anything. Any ideas?

    Hello

What is the full and exact error message?

Step 1: Check if you are able to boot into safe mode without any problem. If you are able to boot into safe mode without any problems then try to perform the clean boot to safe mode. Also disconnect any external devices connected to the computer.

  • Explorer.exe error on shutdown

I have a new HP Pavilion with Windows 8 64 bit laptop. I just downloaded the free update to windows 8.1. And then the trouble started.
First, startup time has almost doubled. Just before the desktop becomes visible, there is a period of 10 seconds where everything you see is a black screen. Sometimes, it is more than 10 seconds. Then we see the wallpaper.
Second, the most annoying problem - whenever I have shut down or restart, I get an error in explorer.exe saying memory cannot be read in memory of some instruction referenced to 0x00000000. ?! What the h - what? I mean that's what we expect to see that after the update to Windows 8.1? This is ridiculous. This affects many people everywhere in the world and there is not yet any official patch or the announcement?

I have read similar messages on the web and none of the solutions work. Someone said: change the registry, someone said to remove the bluetooth start service? nothing and stop a bluetooth service is not a solution. Why wouldn't I be able to use bluetooth to solve this error Windows 8.1?

Please correct this urgent problem. And DO NOT ask us to re - install windows... I mean come on... You think that people have nothing better to do than Windows install/reinstall all day long? Bandwidth is not cheap anywhere in the world either. Please release a patch or guidance on the resolution of this problem as soon as POSSIBLE.
