Your operating system is corrupted. To eliminate the problems on your computer, you need to restore factory settings and rebuild your computer system.
A recovery of the system partition contains a copy of the operating system as it was when the computer was purchased new. Using the copy of Vista, you can restore the computer to factory settings. Of course you must back up your data files to an external before restoring support as the process reformats the disk thus clearing all existing files before writing new files.
Please read Chapter 13 (page 33) Manual:
5738 http://global-download.Acer.com/GDFiles/document/generic%20UG/generic%20UG_Acer_1.0_A_A.zip?acerid=633967123940952836&STEP1=notebook&Step2=aspire&step3=aspire & OS = ALL & LC = en & BC = ACER & SC = EMEA_27The manual suggests that you have an option to restore the operating system and retain user data that I've not seen in a manual before. It is worth trying because it reduces the work involved but I would again as a precaution, back up your data files on external safety precaution if things go wrong.

I installed 2 updates.
I installed both of them using the standalone installer which.
First, I checked the updates using Windows updates and then installer of stand-alone download from the link more information if I can use this update later. Here are the 2 updates I try to install:
1 Windows8-RT-KB2756872 - x 64
2 Windows8-RT-KB2768703 - x 64I rebooted my system after installing the updates.
Windows configures updates up to about 30% and the system gets stopped and restarted.
Then he went it 100% and all of a sudden, I got a message something like:
"Failure of Windows updated. Changes in return ".
It is just returnedHere are all the logs files (CBS.log, WindowsUpdate.log, WindowsUpdate (1) .log)
http://bobdn.com/files/logs.zipPlease tell me how can I get the update installed successfully.
I finally solved my problem with the update kb2756872 ("update failed, returning of changes"). It was caused by the reserved partition Windows is not set to active (I dual boot using GRUB). Go to the Control Panel-> administrative tools control->-> computer managementdisk management and make sure that the reserved partition is marked 'Active'. This also solves many other problems I experienced as not able to activate Windows startup settings.

STUCK IN: Configuration of Windows update failure. Restoration of the changes.
Hello
I get very frustrated by that. I restarted my computer and updates began to install automatically. However, he stopped and then I got the message "failure Configuring Windows Updates. Restoration of the changes. Do not turn off your computer. I waited for an hour and a half, and nothing happens.
I read of fixes for this. but they say I have to restart the computer or access here or there, BUT I can't do it. It is stuck on the screen with the message, and I'm not supposed to turn it off. What should I do?
I think it is absurd that the computer does not ask me if I want to install the updates now or later. What happens if I had to give a presentation in school or I was in a business meeting? In addition, how is it possible that your own updates to dirty computers? HOW? Has any sense at all. You force me to update and your update of the computer mess.
I need to know what to do, I need to access my computer. I've lost enough time already.
Thank you.
