Hello

the fact that you connect to IMPDP AKK1 wants not to say that the import will be in the schema AKK1. Unless you remap the schema explicitly, importation is made as is, that is to say SCOTT. DEPT will go to the SCOTT schema.

Best regards

The error that you get a little weird, so if I were you, and if the error is reproducible, I would trace your datapump for more information.  You could follow the datapump job Oracle sessions or add "trace = 1FF0300" to the command line expdp; This will create tracking in your folder of trace files.  Search for 'trace = 1FF0300' to find out how it works.

  • error TNS expdp

    Hello

I am using expdp successfully for some time, but now I'm in trouble. I had originally a database on the Windows Server. I added a second database for testing, but have now removed. I initially tried running expdp (I need to run it against my original db) when I got the two databases and it looked like he was pointing to the second database.

When I try to use expdp now (after the removal of the second db) I get "Error TNS:protocol adapter." Any ideas? My experience is still somewhat limited with Oracle so I'd be surprised if I'm not missing what is obvious.

Thank you very much for any help, I sincerely appreciate it.

    Thank you

    Hi all
I have a problem: when I save my 11g database and restore the database to another name I can't drop specific index.
I get this error: ORA-02429: cannot delete the index used for the application of unique primary key.

Note: I can easily delete this index before I run backup/restore procedures.
    Here are the steps.

    (1) creation of database D1
    (2) Save:
    expdp * schemas = D1 dumpfile = D1.dmp logfile = D1.log *.
    (3) create a new db user
    CREATE A USER IDENTIFIED BY D2 D2...
    (4) restoration of D1 to D2:
    Impdp D1/D1* remap_schema = D1: D2 dumpfile = D1.dmp *.
    (5) at this point, I'm getting another identical database D2. but for some reason, I can't drop some clues as described above.

Any ideas what Miss me in the process. No impdp/expdp modifing my databes somehow?

    Thank you very much.

    Ok
    You can do the following

    1. disable all constraints.
2 create a script to drop and re-create the index
    3 delete the index
4 turn off the constraints of
    5 impdp CONTENT = DATA_ONLY
    6. run the script to create indexes
    7. activate the constraints
    8 activate triggers

I use oralce 10g 10.2.0.4 in Sun os. I want to use the data with schema_remap option pump has: b and posibility network_link.

What are all grants and privileges of user database that I need to ask in the schema's and B?

What type of OS user could perform impdp /expdp? Finally, will it all special right if I want to use OEM?

Thanks for any comment and suggestion.

Here is a good starting point:

    http://download.Oracle.com/docs/CD/B19306_01/server.102/b14215/dp_overview.htm

You need permission to export schemas and other IMP_FULL_DATABASE to import other schemas (including SCHEMA_REMAP).

DataPump is authenticated by the user running, so if you run it from a client workstation or OEM or server (okay, not the server, you will need to be part of the DBA group for this) datapump will use the permissions of the user of your Oracle.

DataPump creates its files on the database server, so if you want to make these files in another directory, you must create and Oracle Directory.

  • Impdp index

    Hello guys,.
I'll do the whole database 10 g 2 and impdp expdp 11 GR 2 database.
Index of UserA in the source database are created in the tablespace indexed.
and I would like to impdp this user in the database 11g target so when its index are created they are created not in indexed tablespaces but in
    tablespace indexB.
Is there some order of remapping the colors for that?

    Dean Gagne says:
    Hello

    2 responses that stated:

REMAP_TABLESPACE = USERA: indexed, WEAR: IndexB

    and

Impdp UserA / spent REMAP_TABLESPACE= 'ADTB': 'tblB.

are incorrect. There are no these parameters in Data Pump. The remap_tablespace only takes the ancient name of tablespace and a new name of tablespace. He is not yet qualified by a type of object, schema of the object or object name.

The only thing you can do is:

    REMAP_TABLESPACE = old_tablespace:new_tablespace

If you really need clues to be remapped to a different tablepace then the only thing you can do "with data pump" is to use the sql file and then edit the file. Here's what you can do:

exclude the user/password Impdp = index - this will import everything except the index.

Impdp username/password include sqlfile = index.sql index = - this will create a file named index.sql that will contain all the instructions for the index create

Then you can use your favorite editor and change the tablespace names until you are happy, you should also search for '-connect ' and add the passwords that are missing. Then sqlplus just run the index.sql file.

    Thank you

    Dean,

    Please read the Oracle document:

    REMAP_TABLESPACE

    Default: no

    Goal
Remappe all objects selected import with persisted data in the source to be created in the target tablespace tablespace.

    Syntax and Description
    REMAP_TABLESPACE = source_tablespace:target_tablespace

Several REMAP_TABLESPACE parameters can be specified, but no two may have the same source tablespace. The target schema must have the quota in the target tablespace.

Note that the use of the REMAP_TABLESPACE parameter is the only way to remap a tablespace in Data Pump Import. It is a method easier and cleaner than that provided in the initial import utility. In original import, if you want to change the tablespace default for a user, you had to perform several steps, including export and deletion of users, creation of the user in the new tablespace and import the user from the dump file. This method has been subject to many restrictions (including the number of subdivisions of tablespace) sometimes resulting in the failure of certain DDL commands.

However, the Data Pump Import of using the REMAP_TABLESPACE parameter method works for all objects, including the user, and it works independently of how tablespace paragraphs are in the DDL statement.

    --------

You say that my "impdp UserA / spent REMAP_TABLESPACE = 'ADTB':"tblB"" is false, then say you "there are no these parameters in Data Pump!" "The only thing you can do is: remap_tablespace = old_tablespace:new_tablespace '-what is the difference? Is there a syntax error or something?

    Please provide details

    Thank you
