Error importing sounds

Problem:

Just Adobe Flash CS4 a few days ago and I'm having a blast learning all this. I followed the training tutorials Total and today, I'm on chapter about adding sounds and videos. When I tried to add a music file (.wma, bitrate of 128 Kbps), I get an error saying "one or more files were not imported because he had problems reading of their. It does nothing about the error or problem.

Possible solution:

After searching everywhere in these forums and by doing Google searches, I've learned that the problem comes when the bit rate of the file is too large. I also read that Adobe Flash CS4 depends on Apple Quicktime, importing files with large flow rates. I followed some of the advice I found on the web (reinstall the latest version of Quicktime) and I even reinstalled Adobe Flash CS4. But I still have the problem.

Can someone help me? Should I try to contact Adobe for assistance?

The other important thing to keep in mind is that Flash like sampling frequencies that are multiples of 11 025 Hz - 11 025 or 22 050 or 44 100. The latter is what the CD are sampled at.

Then to flow generally useless something high, unless you are certain that you have an audience real audiophile with great speakers and everything. If most of your people will simply be listening through regular ordinary computer or same helmet speakers then something more low will be sufficient and save a lot of time to load.

I had a lot of luck with 22 050 to 64 Kbps. And the things that I did does not need stereo. Don't forget that stereo not basically double the amount of data. So if you don't need it, don't use it.

Also don't forget to go in your publishing settings and adjust the rate of output for the published swf file. Or alternatively enter your audio file in the library and the value that it is an exception to the publication settings. If not, it won't matter!

  • When we import MP3 in Flash, it grows - how can we import sound with precision for lipsync?

    We use Flash Pro CC in a mixed animation - background documentary, animated characters on top - so timing is critical. When import us images in flash convert us video to FLV format which works very well, but we have to import audio separately in order to rub to work. As advised by helpsheets to Adobe, we import the sound in MP3 / 128 kbps, 44.1, but when it happens, it's too long by 6%. For example, a framework of 88 MP3 becomes an image 94 MP3 of Flash Pro CC scenario.

    Is it possible to import sounds so that it does not stretch. This is crucial for us because our character has lipsync and we need to be right.

    Any help is appreciated? Anyone experienced this? Someone at - there a work around?

    PS We are animate using short clips - mainly 3-4 seconds. The longest of five episodes is 13 seconds, but all should be well within the limits of what flash can handle.

    Try to import as an aiff because mp3s are compressed and you want to rub the sound will be clearer still. I know that wav files do not play in flash sync can be that you are experiencing this same issue as well?

    I am building a website in dreamweaver cs5 with an XML doctype. When I tried to validate my css I got an error code that I do not understand.     Hi Fatih,

    in file export application you can you please have a look at the 'wwv_flow_api.create_worksheet_rpt' call that fails or just search 1693606817371092 find the problematic statement. I'm sure that the parameter p_chart_aggregate is set to 0, but it takes the SUM or any other order of aggregation valid.

    I have an MP3 of a song that I downloaded from beemp3.com. I tested to make sure it was not a virus or some thing as wheneever but I click on file-> import to library, I select the mp3 file and an error comes up saying that it could not be imported! I don't understand why he doesn't im [ort in flash. I'm using actionscript 3.0 incidentally. and it has the same error message when I try to import any song into flash. Anyone have the same problem or a solution?

    This is a common problem.  in every situation I've seen, the sound of opening in a sound editor and resave in mp3 format with a new name, authorized the file to be imported.

    Have you installed Windows yourself or it was preinstalled?

    Maybe the wrong driver was installed (of another model for example).

    You cannot directly call Windows functions but certainly C runtime library functions. And C in Visual C runtime library is essentially built on the Windows API. So if your DLL connects with the Visual Studio C runtime somehow you pull various imports in your DLL. Indeed imports you listen to are mostly located in msvcr100.dll which is the C runtime library. Even if you don't make use of any C-runtime function that is, Visual C still shoot in the C runtime references for his start-up code for the DLL.

    In a normal Windows system you can simply install the installer distributable runtime for versions of the libraries C runtime that corresponds with your version of Visual Studio, but in the real-time system that is not a real option as each newer runtime depends on new similar Windows API. Of course, this is NOT intentional (ha!), but simply in the interest of all users like the new Windows APIs automatically means more security, right?

    OR supposedly installed a specially designed DLL MSVCR who very probably, they build themselves to work for kernel real time installed on a system, but that is based on an earlier version of the runtime C MS (and I do not know what Treaty of Redmond licenses should be allowed to do, but I don't know there are many legalize involved there). Basically what wants to say, you must use the version of Visual Studio that is compatible to the runtime library C MS available on the target in order to create shared libraries, real-time search just a msvcrxx.dll in your system in real time and you can see on the xx, what version that should be (except that the version numbers are not as simple to match more but 7.0 was VS 7 7.1 was VS 2003, VS 2005 was 8.0, 9.0 has VS 2008 and VS 2010 10.0 a). Alternatively, you can try to find an installation of Visual Studio 6.0 with SP 5 and compile your DLL. This DLL will use the Microsoft internal standard C runtime MSVCRT. DLL which avoids the whole versionities to the potential cost of disorders of DLL hell.

    Another option could be to use some based MinGW compiler toolchain. They usually use MSVCRT. DLL too much for their C runtime binding. Another option is to install the Windows Device Driver Kit or how it's called these days. The command line compiler toolchain that comes with it, is also linked to MSVCRT. DLL instead of a specific VS runtime library.

    Trying to trick the new version of Visual Studio by using MSVRT. DLL is rather an exercise in vain that I had to discover in the many hours spent on this. My current approach is to use VS 6 to create DLLs in real time, since I have available, but you can not buy more or download it from Microsoft.
