  I have an A500-1f4, I always use Avira premium security and did not have the download yahoo problem or any other problem before, now when I try to download yahoo messenger Avira blocks the site saying it is a malware, I tried to disable the firewall, but it didn't continue to download by saying there is a network problem
  I did a full scan with Avira and windows defender, but they both showed that the computer is clean
  I did a disk system restore but the same problem occurs again, also the same thing when I try to download realplayer, other downloads work up to now

  In general this problem has nothing to do with Toshiba and if your Avira do some problems contact Avira support and ask for help.
  I also use Avira (free version) and can download Yahoo messenger http://messenger.yahoo.com/download/

  1. don't you make changes to your computer before the problem?
  2. is the relevant question for Yahoo Messenger and Email only?

  I suggest that you follow these steps and check if the problem persists.

  Step 1:

  Test the issue in safe mode with network.

  Step 2:

  If it works fine in safe mode with network, turn on your computer in a clean boot State and check if the problem persists.

  Note: Don't forget to restart your computer as usual.l.

  Step 3:

  Problem can be linked to a malware infection, I would have you download, install and run Microsoft Safety Scanner and check if the problem persists.

  I had the same problem and I had to disable my firewall to download the license key. I thought that without security my system would be harmed, but I had no problem and everything went back and manually restored all of my safety.

  Step 8 KB 886549 suggests that you also check the values in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders. However, by fixing my problem, I had not to change values in the registry key. If this does not work, follow ALL the steps in the referenced article.
