  Since you have a SISO system, you can try using the screw "Design Control" to convert the transfer function after normalization of State-Space model, you can use a function 'hidden' in the design of control that are used to calculate the original terms of your system.   There are numeruous ways of deriving a transfer function. You implement a continuous or discrete transfer function? I assume you are using a discrete transfer function. Inside of a loop of simulation, this block contains two time parameters, sampling period and sample oblique, all of which are two clearly defined as seconds. Does that answer your question? If this isn't the case, I need more information about what you do.
