    I'm new to XML Publisher, I followed the steps I gave this link

    http://Oracle.anilpassi.com/XML-Publisher-concurrent-program-xmlp.html and created the report and when I ran the program at the same time, my program completed with warning. And I can't be able to view the XML output.

    Looks like you used the desktop client 11g BEEP for EBS reports developing.
    Not all features in 11g is supported in EBS now. Please download the Patch 12395372 which has the setup.exe for client computer and install it.
    It comes to 5.6.3 version of the desktop client.

  • Log archive backup son separately

    Hello community,

    I have a 11.1.0.7 RAC database on a cluster with two nodes AIX HACMP and use shared raw logical volumes for the data files and of the local filesystems, not simultaneous for the archiving of newspapers.  RMAN is currently back up the data from the secondary node files and archive logs are saved using backups of files only.  I would add archiving logs, for the RMAN backup, but the destination of the main newspaper "/ arch01" is mounted over NFS on the secondary node using the mount point ' / archo01_NFS '.  The sys admin says that he cannot change the mount point to match what is on the primary node because it will affect HACMP failover.  I looked in the documentation of RMAN for a setting in which I might be able to specify thread 2 archivelogs only during the main backup and before you run a log backup archive separate thread 1 on the primary node, but there seems to be such a parameter.  Someone encountered this and found a way to remedy this?

    Thanks in advance.

    It will open the canal to the second node that connects to the instance on another node through NET services. The process server for the channel will be in your second instance.

    You can distribute the workload across nodes without making all the I/o node. It also helps when each node stores the logs to archive locally rather than on a shared drive

    '' Waiting, sone entries are with dest_id = 2, they are really initially generated from standby ''?

    Big question. I do not know. Checked: oracle note 241374.1 for details on dest_id without success.

    I think it's that dest_id indicates whether the destination is local or remote. If, if it is true that the answer is no.

    This makes sense since the database is read_only mode, why it would generate archive here?

    If you still have all the archive back to 12-15 then there is still hope.

    However, 12-15 is a long time ago. I consider at least rebuild the day before.

    241374.1 is worth a visit because it can provide additional information for the future.

    This is not an error but an informational message.  The error comes from RMAN or one of your scripts?

    Are there other RMAN - or ORA-errors in your log file?

    Check your backup optimization, which can be turned on in which case it will not backup the archivelog again.

    You can use one of the two commands to remove the archivelogs that have been backed up.

    backup archivelog all not backed up delete input;
    delete archivelog all backed up 1 times to device type sbt;

  • RMAN - RETRIEVE the backup complete and necessary archives Logs of SBT_TAPE to disk

    Hello

    I've never done this before and no one on my team seems to have idea if possible. In our environment, backups are performed using netbackup to bands using RMAN. I have a request to recover a good full backup of an oracle database (where we can restore the database, if required in the future) of January 13 and place in a way they provided for example: / dbbkup/dbName/files.

    The backup team tied the tapes required for this backup, which in this case is January 13, 2016, see below. We can only use RMAN to restore this backup, but I don't want to restore this backup on a database, instead would like to capture the full backup and zip and place it in the provided path. Is there is a possibility with RMAN?

    If yes I would appreciate the full commands necessary to capture all of the basic + archivelogs (how can I determine what archivelogs are needed?)

    I came with thisbut do not know if this will do.

    Run {}

    until ' to_date (' 01 2016 13 11:00 ', 'YYYY MM DD HH24') ";

    allocate auxiliary channels ch1 type 'sbt_tape '.

    Yes, we cannot copy the backupsets of a band on the disc with RMAN.

    The only option is to restore the database to a separate host computer (or we can restore the database to a filesystem separte or diskgroup within the same host of source database), and backup the database on a disk in compressed format.

  • Backup fails with Invalid RECID error

    Hi all

    Please help me understand the guard-section layout

    Backup Fails with Invalid RECID Error: Solution 2

    This solution is more difficult than solution 1:

    To create the control file with SQL*Plus:

       1. Connect to the target database with SQL*Plus. For example, enter:

          % sqlplus 'SYS/oracle@trgt AS SYSDBA'

       2. Mount the database if it is not already mounted:

          SQL> ALTER DATABASE MOUNT;

       3. Back up the control file to a trace file:

          SQL> ALTER DATABASE BACKUP CONTROLFILE TO TRACE;

       4. Edit the trace file as necessary. The relevant section of the trace file looks something like the following:

          # The following commands will create a new control file and use it
          # to open the database.
          # Data used by the recovery manager will be lost. Additional logs may
          # be required for media recovery of offline data files. Use this
          # only if the current version of all online logs are available.

          # End of tempfile additions.

       5. Shut down the database:

          SHUTDOWN IMMEDIATE

       6. Execute the script to create the control file, recover (if necessary), archive the logs, and open the database:

          STARTUP NOMOUNT
          CREATE CONTROLFILE ...;
          EXECUTE ...;
          RECOVER DATABASE
          ALTER SYSTEM ARCHIVE LOG CURRENT;
          ALTER DATABASE OPEN ...;
    Caution:
          If you do not open with the RESETLOGS option,
     then two copies of an archived redo log for a given log sequence number may
     exist--even though these two copies have completely different contents.
     For example, one log may have been created on the original host and the other on the new host.
     If you accidentally confuse the logs during a media recovery,
     then the database will be corrupted but Oracle and RMAN cannot detect the problem.

    How to open the database without resetlogs?

    This will not help you. You must open the database in resetlogs mode in order to avoid such a scenario. You can open the database in mode restelogs by type
    SQL > alter database open restelogs;
    Instead, he will lose the present trancation in logs online.

    Rgds.

    Please help to get rid of this annoying error.

    Hello

    This problem occurs if Windows backup ignores certain files when Windows Backup cannot find them. When you perform the backup there backup Documents, photos, music and videos through user libraries. So if Windows detects any changes in the path of the folder then the libraries do not recognize their unless you access the corresponding library via Windows Explorer.

    Please, try the steps in the Microsoft KB article and check if it helps.

  • MCBUILDER. EXE running rampant, competing with updates for CPU and possibly associated with an update failed chess SP2 and the backup and restore

    Running Vista Home Premium SP1 and the system has been slow and freezing. MCbuilder appear to be using 50 to 100% of CPU, and it is a process that seems no way of killing. I disabled in Services, but again, it seems to start without any particular reason and hinders attempts to install programs or updates vista hogging resources. This can be associated with a problem that has arisen since June because I am not able to perform backups or set restore points (gives the error "0 x 81000101 the creation of a shadow copy has timed out"). I tried to install SP2 in the hope that it will not solve the problem, but the failure of installation and install KB947821 doesn't seem to work either. As the restoration of the system is defective, I would be grateful for the pointers to the resolve or completely remove this mcbuilder problem.

    You have COMODO or AVG Antii-virus installed on your system?  It is known problems with these two programs and MCbuilder.exe.  I don't have Microsoft Resource Builder Cache as a service in the Services (so I can't activate or deactivate it)-you which version of Vista to help (bit, SP-number version)?  I have 32 bit Vista Business SP2. I see no way to turn it off in order to close it with the Task Manager when it is - with the exception, but who could become annoying if it happens frequently and with multiple instances.  I could find nothing useful in Knowledge Base Microsoft on it hogging resources although I've seen a few threads using Bing (which is where I came up with COMODO and AVG anti-virus conflicts).

    You can be infected by malware (which may be the origin of the program to activate and run "without reason"). While in Test Mode safe mode (press F8 during startup and select mode safe mode with networking repeatedly) to run anti-malware programs. To resolve this problem (if it is a problem) download, install, and run the following two programs: http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php and http://www.safer-networking.org/en/index.html.  You can also try a free trial of Pandasoft (www.pandasoft.com).  Before you download pandasoft, uninstall all anti-virus program you currently use (because the installation and execution of two simultaneously can cause conflicts, freezes and all sorts of problems).  Once you have uninstalled your current AV program, download, install, update and scan using Pandasoft.  I think you might be amazed at how much she notes that other software missed.  Once complete, uninstall pandasoft and re - install your current AV program (unless you decide to spend that I did when I tried about 4 years ago).  You can also try the new, free Microsoft Security Essentials http://www.microsoft.com/security_essentials/default.aspx (with the same caveat that only program AV one ALONE can be installed and running on your system at any time). Restart after finishing all the scans and see if the problem has been resolved.

    Try a system restore to a point in time BEFORE the problem started (which can be a problem if it began all the way back in June - you should have posted here then when this process would probably have worked).  Here is the procedure: http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/using-windows-vista-system-restore/.  Don't forget to check the box to show more than 5 days of restore points (but I doubt that you will have a pretty far back and forth to the system restore may not be a viable option).  If the first attempt fails, then try an earlier point or two.  NOTE: You will need to re - install any software and updates that you have installed between now and the restore point, but you can use Windows Update for updates.

    If the system restore does not work, do a startup repair, boot from the disk Installation of Windows Vista genuine (or one that you can borrow from someone) or a recovery disc.  Here is the procedure: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial148.html.  You may need to change the BIOS to do first the CD drive in the boot sequence to boot from the CD.  To do this, hold the screen that tells you the key F to push to enter the menu start or start of installation.  Push it quickly. Make the changes, save your work and exit.  Put the CD in the drive and reboot.  When you are prompted, press any key to boot from the CD.

    If you do not have a floppy disk, you can make a bootable recovery disk by using http://neosmart.net/blog/2008/windows-vista-recovery-disc-download/ with burning software like: http://www.snapfiles.com/get/active-isoburner.html and, of course, a blank CD.

    If this does not work, try to start in safe mode (repeatedly hit F8 key so that the start and go in safe mode with networking).  Then we will check some of your system files:

    Go to start / all programs / accessories / command prompt and right click on command prompt, and then click Run as administrator.

    Type sfc/scannow, go and let it run.  It will scan and try to correct some of your system files.  If all goes well it will complete with no corruption, he couldn't fix it (if there is such corrouption post here or try to analyze it to find the problem or files using http://support.microsoft.com/kb/928228.  I bet there is something involving the program or associated with this program.

    If this does not work, you will need to do a repair/system upgrade using the Windows Vista Installation disc authentic (you own or that you can borrow from someone).  Here is the procedure: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/88236-repair-install-vista.html as well as the upgrade from an earlier version of the Windows section of the following: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/918884.  Although this will not affect your data, settings or programs, you should always back up your data before you start just be on the safe side.

    I hope one of these procedures can solve your problem (probably the SFC command or controls anti-virus).  If this isn't the case, after return and we will try something else.  Return message anyway so we know how it turns out.

    BTW, for update of the problems you are having with SP2, post on the Forum of Windows Update to: http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/vistawu/threads where the people who specialize in update issues will be happy to help you with your concerns and get SP2 running on your system (perhaps despite this particular problem).  As you say, it can even solve the problem - who knows.

    Good luck!

  • Backup associated with repeated warnings ID 51: an error was detected on device \Device\Harddisk1\DR1 during a paging operation (or \Device\Harddisk5\DR5)

    I just found out about 7 000 event ID 51 warnings in the event viewer.

    These warnings began when I started using an IEEE 1394 external drive for backup. I can't say if the more than 7,000 warning messages started after formatting, or when the backup began.

    About 5,000 messages occurred during the first backup which lasted several hours, back on February 24.

    All of them had: an error was detected on device \Device\Harddisk5\DR5 during a paging operation.

    Managed backup done this night here and as far as I know. (I don't look in the observer of events at this time.)

    The next day, at 11:00, the messages have started, but this time in bunches of a dozen or less within one or two seconds. And they all change to this:

    An error was detected on device \Device\Harddisk1\DR1 during a paging operation.

    Since then, the warnings occur sporadically. The backup program ran on 28 February, and produces over a thousand more. A group that's happened when I tried to back up the registry to a subdirectory on the drive yesterday.

    What is strange, is that the drive seems pretty much OK. Backup completed without error. I can copy files to it, and then copy it.

    Given that these are warnings, is this correct? A driver problem?

    the drive is using 6.1.7600.16385 (win7_rtm.090713 - 1255)

    I formatted just before using it for the backup. These are the old years, but we never had any problems with it before.

    Any ideas on how to understand what is happening?

    You can also try changing the driver firewire to INHERIT one. (Device Manager, Bus IEEE 1394 controller, software update driver, browse my computer, let me pick from a list... Choose the line of inheritance in it.

    Does this mean that tar has problems reading the files and directories (they are all there) or actually implies that the permissions on d:\backupdir to get messed up?

    This means that you have another request for Cygwin installed on this machine, and it interferes with the backup. You will need to remove the apps like OpenSSH from the server and make sure that the following registry key is empty:

    HKLM/Software/Cygnus Solutions / Cygwin / mounts v2

    Here are some notes on the event viewer reports that can help you. When you have a lot of mistakes, you need to focus on system errors and warnings, even if it's the applications that are giving you grief. Problems with the first sorting system can do the easier application problems. Note the time that the computer is started last and deal first with those at the beginning of the boot. Correct previous errors can be solved later.

    1. normally, when an error occurs on your computer looking in Event Viewer should be your starting point to find a solution. More related system errors are recorded and get an exact copy of the relevant report is important. Unfortunately, is not easy to understand reports and most of the users computer need help with their interpretation. I have to say later interpretation.

    2 Event Viewer includes three main newspapers of Windows. Here's the Application, security, and system. For purposes of troubleshooting system is by far the most important.

    3. to access the system log, select Start, Control Panel, administrative tools, Event Viewer, in the list on the left of the window select Windows and the system logs. Place the cursor on the system, right click and select filter current log. Check the front of the error and click OK and see you only reports errors. Click the Date and time column header to sort. You may need to click a second time to see the last report above.

    4. a tip for posting copies of error reports! Run Event Viewer and double-click the error you want to copy. Click the button copy on the general tab allows you to place a copy in the Clipboard and close Event Viewer. Now start your message and paste it into the body of the message. Make sure that it is the first dough right out of the event viewer.

    5. He cautioned against three types of reports, information, and reports errors. In most situations, it is the error reports that offer the best information but sometimes WARNING reports provide useful clues.

    6. all reports have stamps date and hour and when troubleshooting, it is important to focus on the latest reports. Reports of studies from the point when the computer is started, and then check if a similar report appeared in the previous session. If errors do not repeat investigation as to why they happen is wasted effort.

    7. in the individual reports the most important information is the event ID and Source such as these help when looking for help on the internet. The description is just as important and copy the exact text to use as search criteria greatly helps achieve better results when using Google. Not paraphrase descriptions when other people asking for help.

  • Question about backup hot with Tablespace with no logging

    Hi, we have an application that using a temporary tables (tables of work). The application maintains a persistent connection to the DB.
    During the loading of data, the application will create work tables and then remove it when the process is complete. This recommended by Oracle on this application is to create a tablespace separated with no record.

    Here's the recommendation:
    "To minimize the contention of disk and logging, you can create a tablespace with NoLogging for the.
    work tables and indexes and store data files for storage on a physical disk separate.
    Because work tables are created and dropped during the processing of data, creating a tablespace
    without connect to work tables and the indexes of the working table can improve performance. »

    I asked experts to demand that all agree to implement the above suggestion. However, our DBA is reluctant to implement the suggestion above that there are concerns about the validity of the hot backup. Here is his comment:
    "The problem is that we cannot guarantee the recovery of this database unless recover us from a cold backup. This means that if there is something on this database which is important, we will have problems with data protection. "He said, not to apply any log will affect the ability to recover the database in the event of failure, even if tables work East of temporary tables only. His opinion is that, when the backup occur at the same time when the table is created, will result not valid backup. The only way to save the database must publish a cold backup, which means that we must stop the application to make the backup.

    Is it true. What is the best backup strategy for the above case?
    From the expert point of view of the application, cold backup is not necessary that the application does not maintain a persistent connection to the database.

    Thank you.

    If it's a temporary table only that is kept in storage space, in any case the data on their part would go, either at the end of the transaction or at the end of the session. Not sure that the data your dba trying to protect? I have yet to have my first cup of coffee then maybe missing me something obvious here, but I don't see a point in the protection of temporary tables and "cold backup to use for their recovery.
