  Install OK, but the installation of the on-board controller Version 1.06 has failed.

  Wait for more than 5 minutes... not able to do anything... includingshut down!

  Everything went well, fortunately, it means the updtate is not started at all.

  Now I'm in the 1.29 level BIOS that requires embedded contrloller 1.06 version but my system is still at the previous level (1.04). So far working well.

  What is the risk associated with the use of the BIOS to 1.29 and the controller shipped to 1.04?

  I suggest that you use 4.7 SP2 or later version. From SP2, we use the PE of the DM repository instead of the local device.

  This should be able to resolve the problem that you are experiencing.

  I agree with littco. If the two devices, the HARD drive and the CD/DVD drive are set to master or slave, in this case you get an error of the IDE controller.

  I tried to install an optional update from Windows on my Compaq w / Vista. The update was for my Canon MP190 driver but when the update failed to install I got the error code following 80070012.

  As far as I know everything is still working ok, so should I worry because the update was optional?

  do * not * get hardware updates to windows/microsoft updates web page unless your equipment is being microsoftmanufacturered... always get hardware drivers (when you need it) of the actualmanufacturer of the product.

  I have this error of runtime for about a week on my brother's computer. It appears after the computer loads up. I guess that started since I installed BitDefender Free AV. During the first, everything would hang, program extensions and it is running. After I removed the AV error still exists when I load the system, but I can surf the web and do a casual job as before. It seems very similar to this error on a previous thread. So far I ran a registry via CCleaner cleaning and anything else again. I searched the web, and there are a lot of very similar and shady 'hacker-free' sites that offer a 5MB ~ 10 MB magic fix to my question! But I pass on those.   Yes, I disabled a program at startup in msconfig, just because I thought it was suspicious and I didn't know how to uninstall it. I also completely uninstalled the free AV. of BitDefender which resolved.

• Get an IRQL error when reinstalling Vista on a formatted HARD drive.

  My (HP a1700n) office has been very slow, perhaps a virus. I ran Norton NIS and also had Norton disk utilities cleaner. I decided to start over and reinstall the Vista operating system, since I don't have the disk. • Kernel Event Tracing/Event Log/error - log of the homegroup could not start.

  I hope that this is the appropriate place to put this.  I get this error in my event logs whenever I have to restart my computer.  Specifically, Journal of the residential group was able to start, and in the event logs, it appears as "error events-kernel trace log.  There is nothing wrong with my homegroup Similarly if, as I can see all systems located throughout my house and everyone have access to another.  Errors in my logs have always bothered me :), and I would be very grateful if someone could help me with this.  Thank you.

  Moreover, this error occurs on several computers in the homegroup, so it is not limited to one machine having difficulty.  This error however not has an impact (as far as I can tell in any case) on the performance of my system.

  OK, I'm just to add a little here to mention that work, a round/fix or whatever you want to call it to my original problem.  As I mentioned in the previous post, the systems are not displays the error for several days now.  I think it's because I have restructured the homegroup and ensured that I created the homegroup with my office that stays ON all the time.  So, in other words, I think that the problem comes from the fact that when I created my new laptop wifes, I initially created the homegroup on her computer she puts to sleep all the time when she does not use it.  Other systems, which are mine, continued to generate one error on the log of the homegroup, when his machine was in mode 'sleep'.  Since I restructured the homegroup to ensure that my office is the system that started the homegroup (and remains on nearly 24 hours a day), I didn't have the original error.  If anyone knows this same type of problem, then if I were you, I would at least look into resolve the same way I did.  I'm thinking my problem SOLVED.  I don't know how to mark this topic as a response, so I'll just stay here.
