• Satellite L755 after error - BIOS update service is not a warranty case

  The problem began when Toshiba Tempro program notified me that I need to update bios for my laptop Satellite 755. I have downloaded the file to the Toshiba site, followed all the instructions. The process - there was error check. Tried twice. The same result. Decided to not update at all.

  But after that the next reboot of the laptop has not started. Black screen, cooler works like breathing.
  After searching the Internet I found there are hundreds of people with the same question. Which of course was not my fault.

  As there is no solution for this - the only way was to send the Toshiba laptop service.
  I wrote them a letter before, provided all the details, what happened. Also asked if it would be covered by the warranty. My laptop is still on warranty, purchased just half a year ago.

  Without any hesitation I sent them my laptop.

  After several days, I received a note that:
  1. it is not a case of warranty I was updating the BIOS. Come on guys, I wrote it you before I sent the laptop!
  2. for the repair of motherboard, I need to pay 1350 (!) swiss francs (the price for the new laptop is about 600 Swiss francs!).
  3. I can refuse the repair, but in this case, I still have to pay 100 Swiss francs for diagnostics.
  Why the hell should I pay for the diagnosis, even if the laptop is still on warranty + it was pretty clear what the problem was, like many people in the face of that, and Toshiba service for sure shoud be aware of this problem.

  What could advise you in this situation?

  Please don t get me wrong, but I don't really know what you want to read here. It is user in the forum and here you will not find an official statement here. All you can do here is to share your experience with others who have the same problem.

  I put t know how many services are listed for your country, but please try to communicate with other services and see if they will tell you the same thing or maybe there's something now about this BIOS problem.

• After office 2010 download and install, PC with xp crashed

  I downloaded MS office pro plus 2010. He installed himself, and then he said that I needed a reboot to complete the installation. I answered Yes. After the restart, got the famous blue screen. I turned off the computer, wait about 20 seconds and then restarted, it as has been suggested on the blue screen. The computer is on, but nothing appeared on the monitor and the computer does not start. I can hear it running, but he did not sound at startup. Tried a couple of times with the same result. Is it possible that the installation of Office caused the problem or just a coincidence in time of another failure of a component? Any suggestions on how to fix? I am running Windows XP. • Strange generation after error code checked in to Subversion

  I am trying to use Subversion to track my source code. I use TortoiseSVN as my client software. I checked in my java files, my Eclipse .project and .classpath and my JDP file. Then, I deleted all of the Subversion project and got own svn code. Now, I get the following error when I do a cleaning:

  Build problems
  Errors during construction.
  Errors under builder "BlackBerry resources Builder" of the project "KitchenValet".
  Could not compile files
  java.io.FileNotFoundException: C:\Documents and Settings\Christopher Keith\My Documents\fCode\KitchenValet\src\com\KitchenValet\.svn\ent.rrh (the system cannot find the file specified)

  I don't understand why the development system is looking for a file in a .svn directory. For the record, here are the contents of my file jdp. The lines formally '.svn' in the section "ExcludeFromBuildAll" seem to have been added when I ran Eclipse after own source:

  Follow-up: I have finally just create two different directories, one for editing code and the other to check code in and out. Slightly tedious copy files back, but I am now able to get the work done on both of my dev machines.

  Please can someone help me with this, as its driving me crazy and I have a deadline coming!

  OK, I have a composition in After Effects, I was working, but now, when I go to open it, I get the message "after effects error: incident occurred while invoking the plugin"auto contrast"effect." Please can someone help me to open my file again, or at least to get my project data! I already tried everything and anything! • clear Boolean indicator after ERROR

  Hi all

  Have a question quite Newb here, I'm afraid.  The image below shows two examples of the question; the Stop button and the detected error LED.  The problem is the following; When the application is stopped, the current state of one of these indicators is locked, and when the program resumes he reprised in this State.  So, if someone stops the code by pressing the Stop button (fairly common, naturally enough) they cannot restart because the State of the Stop button is 'True '.  If they stop the program while the detected error LED is turned on then it restarts, but there is a red light flashing on the screen and everyone thinks that there is a problem; which is where I found things this morning.  (Note that I use a method quite draconian to clear all errors for each iteration of the loop, because I thought that this would avoid this problem; it keeps the program running when there is a material error, which is usually due to the blackout, and when the power is in place the program just starts again as if nothing had happened.)  It is unrelated to my question, but I thought that someone asks; He explains why the program will restart, but the flag is not cleared, I think).

  So the question is how can I erase Boolean and indicators controls automatically when the program stops, rather than having to learn each user to go and restore the default state, before restarting.  Any ideas?

  (1) right click on the flag or control that you want to initialize a default value and create an invoke node - type "Reset to Default" in the gift of drop menu. Put all these on the left of your diagram and wire of the error of the clusters through to make sure the race before the loop. Don't forget the last clutter of error to the beginning of the wire loop, even if you don't use it in the loop.

  Some other tips:

  (2) wire save your error from the DAQ assistant, in a turn and feed around the loop (do not use the node back power) - disable the before you run the DAQ Assistant, if you want to.

  (3) change of the False constant to a control (otherwise you cannot stop the loop) - you should never use the red button at the top.

  (4) add a delay time in the loop if you do not stop runing stupidly fast loop, entering all your CPU power and kill your PC.

• Computer crash after February 2010 updates vista

  My laptop downloaded the lates updates to windows, when the computer restarted, he would go to the logo screen of windows with the green bar travel corporation moving, but it freezes it.  I tried restoring the system, chckdsk, Recovery Console, memory check and change the renaming of the sdbus.inf, sdbus.   My system is finally underway, I hope.  I have not done a reboot, but wanted to check in French - in case someone else had the same problems I had.  After several troubleshooting steps, I realized that I avoided the simplicity during the troubleshooting process.  Something caused my hanging cd/dvd player, causing the system to stall.  Check if the light on your which is while the system is suspended.  If so, you may have the same problem.  I don't know if it was the update or just a coincidence that it happened at the same time, but all those who, here's what I did to get running back without losing all my data and downloaded the software.

  I went into my bios (press ESC at start-up incase you don't know how to get there) and I turned off my cd-rom drive (you will have to look around in your own bios, because I believe that all systems are somewhat different) and set to start at the last.  I hit F10 to exit and save and the sytem retrieved using any return to the standard to this day.  I then created a system for future accidents drive although I had access to mine during troubleshooting by pressing F8 during startup.  I need never hope that the recovery disks that I do not lose software installations.  I do; However, all my data saved on my network.  I highly recommend this process long and tedious to do systematically as my system was working at full performance, when I stumbled on this 2 day troubleshooting dedication.

I don't know which cd is mentioned or how to reinstall the driver.

• Column of username in the Task Manager disappeared after January 2010 automatic updates for XP

  I noticed after the recent update of Microsoft "Windows Update", the username column deleted all the usernames on the process tab, except
  System idle process the which lists the SYSTEM.  All other usernames are gone making 'show them processes from box check all users "at the bottom left not functional.

• Local Connection Timed out after error ~ 12000sec

  Hello

  I send a soap request to a service wcf web.

  I am able to get the required xml response when I open in the Internet Explorer browser but when I open it in the simulator it says Local connection timed out after ~ 12000sec and also when I deploy it to the device, it gives the answer as [object.document]. Please let me know if I'm missing something. Is the code used to call the Web service
