Today, I just downloaded the Left 4 Dead 2 Demo off Steam, when I entered the game it works up until I have to, what we call the safe room, which takes the player to the first part of the campaign to another. He would charge, then the screen would turn black and the game would freeze and then give me the error Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime "Runtime closed in an unusual way." I have Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable-x 86 9.0.21022, Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1, and my OS is Windows Vista.

Your best bet is to uninstall all Visual C++ runtime libraries, and then reinstall the latest from download.microsoft.com.

This type of error is usually related to damaged C++ components installed.

Download and install the latest Visual C++ runtime

    1. Search for and then remove the existing installation of Visual C++. To do this, follow these steps:

Note Because there are several versions of Microsoft Windows, the following steps may be different on your computer. If they are, see your product documentation to complete these steps.

    In Windows XP

Click Start and then click run . Type appwiz.cpl, and then click OK .

    b. Find Microsoft Visual C++ in the list of installed programs.
    c. In Windows Vista

Click Microsoft Visual C++, and then click Uninstall .

    In Windows XP

Click Microsoft Visual C++, and then click Remove .

Note If you do not have Microsoft Visual C++ in the list of installed programs, go to step 2

    d. Follow the steps to remove the software.
    2. Download and install the latest Visual C++ runtime. To do this, follow these steps:

one. Visit the Microsoft Web site at the following address:

    b. In the search next to all the downloads box, type Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable package, and then click validate .
    c. In the search results, click the Package redistributable Visual C++ for your operating system.

Note The x 86 version of the package is for the 32-bit version of Windows. The X 64 version of the package is for 64-bit Windows version.
    d. On the page that opens, click download , and then save the file to your desktop.
    e. When the download is complete, double-click the executable file.
    f. Follow the instructions that are displayed. When you are prompted, restart the computer.

Please ensure that you are using .net framework appropriate to your computer. http://www.microsoft.com/net/.  Also, please check that you are running Java on your system.  I would also contact AOL for additional support being that its their product.  They would be aware of the requirements and updates, as appropriate.  I hope that this information is beneficial.

  • Error "Microsoft Visual C++ runtime library has encountered an error and must terminate the program" during the installation of the patch for World of Warcraft

    Original title: runtime library

When you install the game World of warcraft it installs ok but the problem comes when the patch is installed, when it is 99% done windows gives me an error message

Microsoft visual c ++ runtime library then said he has encountered an error and must terminate the program, I never had this problem when I put the game on my HARD lecteur2 replaced because he was going to die on me

My operating system is Windows Vista SP2

Help me please if you can

    Thank you much xx

    Hi Hopson81,

Try to install the patch by starting the computer in selective startup mode (also known as a clean boot state).

Start your computer in a clean boot state helps determine if third-party applications or startup items are causing the problem. If so, you need to maybe contact the manufacturer of the program for updates or uninstall and reinstall the program.

For instructions, see How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7 .

Note: After troubleshooting, be sure to set the computer to start as usual as mentioned in step 7 in the above article.

  • Error Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library, opening of PDF files

I'm on Windows Vista Edition Home Premium.  I have a problem trying to open PDF files on my drive hard or via IE.  I get the error message says:

    "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
    Runtime error!
    Program: C:\Program 9.0\Reader\AcroRd32.exe Adobe

This application has requested the execution to terminate in an unusual way.
Please contact support team of the application for more information. »

I uninstalled and reinstalled Adobe Reader 9.2 on the internet several times, but I still get the error.  The PDF file opens, then this error and I have to click OK making it necessary to close the PDF file.

    Help!

    Hello

This is known problem with Acrobat for several versions now, current fix from Adobe is just to update their software: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/404/kb404597.html

The problem is with the data of application given erroneous instructions.
"The affected user has a folder Application Data redirected and so the path to the network that contains the Application data uses a UNC path that begins with \. "This UNC path causes Acrobat 9.0 and Adobe Reader 9.0 incorrectly analyzes the Application data path and give the error message.
A possible Solution would be to go into the registry. Left click type 'regedit' and right-click and run the program with "run as Administrator". Go to Hkey_Current_User\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Current Version\Explorer\User Shell Folders and make sure see where pointing "AppData". If it is oriented towards 'data %UserProfile%/Application' change it to point to '% UserProfile%/AppData/Roaming '.
  • Error: Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library... Runtime error

    I'm new to this site.

I had a problem where a persistent message finally froze my PC.

I sent a question and detailed the actual messages, as had been requested earlier (very useful) Member where

I asked without the effective message label

    This is the message: -.

"Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library... Runtime error

    Shared\9.0\SharedCom\RoxWatchTray9.exe

This application has requested the execution of terminateit in an unusual way.

For more information, contact the application support team"

This was followed by another message: -.

"Roxmm Tray App Module has stopped working - close the program.

In response, I received was an email stating that MY QUESTION has BEEN DELETED!

    W H Y?

If someone will kindly answer the first query I would be grateful but probably (NOW) most important

is that my curiosity is satisfied with an ANSWER as to WHY the question was summarily eliminated.

I affected a kind of code?

Is it a USA site only?

    Please make my day?

Original title: why was the answer to my question just an email saying: it has been deleted?

    Hello

The answer to your previous query was given in the following link:

    http://answers.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/Forum/windows_vista-system/a-Roxio-program-seems-to-have-frozen-my-PC-cant/cb054ede-fe6d-4352-854A-40330a3544a0

Step 1: If you have not tried the steps in this link, so please try it.

Step 2: Otherwise, completely uninstall the components of Roxio, then reinstall.

    http://KB.Roxio.com/search.aspx?url=/content/000207CR¶ms=set-locale=en

Note: serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. For more information about how to back up and restore the registry, click the following article: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Back-up-the-registry

  • Error Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable 1935

I use Windows 7 Professional. I tried to install Guitar Pro 6 on my PC. This software needs Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable to run. But this facility gives following error.

    Error 1935. An error occurred during the installation of the assembly. "Microsoft.VC80.MFC.type = 'win32' ='8.0.50727.4053 .version ', publickeyToken =' 1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b", processorArchitecture = "x 86".
After this error, Windows update is also not working.

    Hi sgtbluebunny,
given that every piece of software that you install using a version of this dll or package c ++, it is it corrupted or missing or maybe messed up in the registry.
Save yourself time... format and reinstall. It will cost a few hours, but save the headaches in the long run.
However, you can always go on the Technet forums and post there.
