Error ripping Media Player 11

Hello, I recently bought a copy of Windows Vista Home Premium, 32-bit using XP without any problem at all. Now I find that when I try to copy a cd the drive starts the process and then a few seconds later stops and a message "error"(sous l'onglet extraire) and stops tearing. "." This message is displayed in front of each track to be ripped off.
I am not an expert and therefore contacted Microsoft, having a period of 90 days support. All the support that I have received is a list of links and a contact help line number, which is a premium rate number. How can I solve the problem without having to pay even more money to solve a problem that was caused by the software?

Thank you

Robert

Hi Robert,.

Unfortunately I do not know the solution for WMP ripping error because it is not a lot of information that you can provide us. But maybe you want to try ripping with CDex (open source and free - http://cdexos.sourceforge.net/). He did a good job of tear and works fine in Vista.

Kind regards

Hans

Original title: WMP "can't play wav or midi.

Using WMP 11 on Windows XP SP3.

Windows Media Player has somehow forgotten how to play wav or midi files. Doubleclicking either of these file types give an error "Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The player might not support the file type or does not support the codec used to compress the file. " There is a button 'Close' and 'Web Help' which still informs me, "you met the C00D1199 error message... ". ». Following the advice given nothing less than useful.

I can easily play these files with RealPlayer or VLC so I don't think it's a driver problem, and it wasn't a corruption right after installing the other players. WMP seems to work OK when playing music or AVI. And there is no harm to hear a sound (wav or midi) in Windows for various system events. Have already uninstalled/reinstalled WMP without result.

    Thanks for your reply.

I have since determeined the problem comes from an updated codec package I installed a few weeks ago. These codecs were from Shark007 which I believe is a Microsoft MVP. Use the codecs from this site for a number of years without any problems so I did not initially suspect it was the source of the problem. I uninstalled the codec pack and installed K-light package and everything seems to be Ok now. Now, I'll be in contact with the members of this forum.

You can try the options under the view menu to change the available on the computer visualizations. When you play the files in 'Now Playing mode', make a right click anywhere within the interface on Windows Media player and go to visualization. Choose the desired option or try a different visualization in the context menu.

I am unable to play the video file and get the error "Windows Media Player cannot play the file because the required video codec is not installed on your computer."

Can someone help me how to solve this problem. Thank you

May be that the video file format is not compatible with Windows Media Player.

    Options: -.

1] download and install VLC Player. It's free and supports file formats more than WMP.

2] download and install the codecs

Personally, I prefer VLC Player-if you have that then not need to download and install the codec of any third party.

  • Receive the message error "Windows Media Player cannot extract one or more tracks from the CD"

Original title: Windows Media Player 12 in Windows 8 - will not tear, will not allow rip parameter changes

Recently started Windows Media Player displays this error message when I tried to rip CDs: "Windows Media Player cannot extract one or more tracks from the CD." When I checked the rip settings, I found that no location has been chosen, even if I had chosen a location when I first set up WMP over a year ago. When I clicked on the "Change location" button, nothing happened, so I'm not able to choose a file location. I downloaded and Fix It (http://support.microsoft.com/mats/windows-media-player-diagnostic-Windows-8/en-us) from Microsoft allows WMP and the library, hoping this would solve the problem, but the problem persists. After that, I also found that none of the rip settings can be changed, not only the location of the file. I get an error message that "ripping settings could not be applied" when I try to change anything on the tab music Rip under Options. I found a support of forum responses that mention a registry fix but does not provide any details on how to achieve this. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello

Were there any changes (hardware or software) to the computer before the show?

Ripping allows you to put the titles of your audio CD on your PC. When you rip the tracks, they become digital files on your PC.

There are two places in the Player library where you can customize your settings and better to make ripping work:

    • In the Rip settings menu (with less choice customization).

    • In the Options dialog box (with several choices of customization).

Method 1: run the tool library, Windows Media Player and Windows Media Player settings and check if the extraction is possible.

    Step 1:

a: press the logo Windows + O to open the search box.
    b: Type Troubleshooting, press ENTER.

    c: now, click on programs.

d: and then click Windows Media Player  library.

    Step 2:

a: press the logo Windows + O to open the search box.
    b: Type Troubleshooting, press ENTER.

    c: now, click on programs.

d: and then click Windows Media settings.

Method 2: Perform the steps from the link below and see if it helps.
