• Memory an error saving SequenceFile generated using API

  I am developing an application that creates a SequenceFile using .NET 4.0, c# (2010), Windows 7 Pro x 64, Dual Core 2 .5GHz, 3.0 GB of memory.  Using the EngineClass API, I create a complete SequenceFile based on user/file entries and then save it to disk.  When I finished, I save using SequenceFile.Save (), then release by using ReleaseSequenceFileEx().

  For smaller files, there is no problem.  For larger files, I occasionally get the following error:

  System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException (0xFFFFBD98): out of memory.

  When the file is saved, it is ~2.8Mb.  Breaking the file is not an option.  I'm not a loop, it comes suddenly.  I tried shutting down VS2010 and restart the computer.  It is still not in line with the savings.

  I also had to incorporate the Interop Types false by orientation of NOR.  They said that it's unstable in 4.0.

  Questions

  1. is there a size limit for the file in the API Save() function?

  2. is there a work around using the Save()?

  Before saving the file try call:

  GC. Collect();

  GC. WaitForPendingFinalizers();

  This will force the garbage collector .NET to recover some memory it can to make room to of unmanaged code in TestStand engine to be able to save the file. Large blocks of contiguous space are necessary when saving the files. This will probably fix your problem, but there's a few things that you may want to consider which would also help.

  (1) what version of TestStand do you use?

  1 (b) what file format do you use? Binary (binary is set by default for new files created in TestStand 4.0 and higher), XML or INI?

  (2) do you have large tables numeric or Boolean in your sequence? If so you might want to consider making initially empty (if it is not really of any data you care to save time editing), then in your sequence, you can programmatically resize it to the size you need when running.

• Error saving file authorization when you download on the Internet

  Sometimes when I download a file on the internet with Chrome (most recent example a picture) on my external hard drive, I get an error message "you are not allowed to modify files in this network location. Contact the administrator with permission to make these changes. "A file is saved who doesn't seem to be anything else (just the name and a shell). If I try to download the same file again once, he asked me to replace the original file. Say Yes and then it records very well (at least it seems like it) and downloads. Have no idea what is the cause, because if I can save at all, it means the permissions are here, right?

  I see an error message everytime I try and save a Notepad file:

  Our systems and the development team contacted Druva, which proved to be quite sensitive in the past, so I hope to get a recommendation soon.

  In the meantime, there is a file in C:\Program Files (x 86) \Druva\inSync\amd64 named WINSTA. DLL. If you rename this file, the problem goes away and we do not think that this affects Druva himself.  At your own risk, of course. :-)

• Recieve an error saving manual Flash OCX 0x8002801C

  There is a computer in the office who constantly has problems installing Flash Player. The latest version (11.7, xxxxx) seems to have some really tough questions.

  The basic background that I have on this machine, is that it was purchased with Windows 7 Home Premium upgrade to Windows 7 Pro (64 bit). There always seems to be a weird kind of permissions problems - the main user of the machine is in the Administrators group and all that IT WORKS is in the account local administrator, but with some things, the it Department is constantly getting questions about permissions.

  I have uninstalled Flash, cleaned the registry of unnecessary files, ran the reset_fp11.bat with the SubInAcl.exe. I also checked several registry keys (information from various forums) and all permissions were either (A) not together or (B) together do not allow administrator access.

  I also used Process Monitor from Microsoft (ProcMon) to see if I can come up with all the answers... but all I can say is that the c:\windows\system32\tzres.dll file is "locked".

  At this point, when I run the shell CMD as administrator and you attempt to register the OCX manually, I get the 0x8002801C error code.

  Any ideas?

  I get the same error when you try my first backup to a new LG Blu Ray burner. I have Win 7 and PSE12.

  The error occurs in the first blu - ray. When again I get the same error. Very annoying: past 2 BD - R discs and half a day!

  I am trying to add my server vCenter Server with enabled in VMWare View composer. When you check the box "Enable View Composer" to find the appropriate domain, but it won't let me save it. I get the error "error record vCenter entry. I can record it, if I turn off the settings of composer.

  Compose 2.0 won't be fully functional with view 4.5, you must upgrade to 2.5 composer.

• Error saving to the catalog

  I use LR5 on Win8 a new machine with a library that has been transferred from the hardrive backup of a machine that crashed. These photos were mounted on LR3. When asked to save the catalog after you have used the new LR for a week I got this error message... "" LR has encountered an error during playback of he is seen hiding and must stop '. " It will then say that LR will attempt to resolve this issue when LR is still open, but it is not successful at all. What should I do to fix this error?

  Delete the folder "Previews" "LRdata" which is located on the side of the 'Catalogue' "LRcat. Lightroom will create a new folder "Previews" at startup.

  I configured a RMAN recovery catalog using virtual private catalog to the difference between environments.
  
  Backups are managed by different scripts stored in the catalog of recovery as follows.

• Error saving a computer virtual using Vizioncore VrangerPro GUI in ESX3.5

  Hi guys

  I'm quite new in the world of VMware please exuse my ignorance.

  I'm trying to back up a machine virtual on ESX1 (we have two boxes of ESX) (ESX1 & ESX2)

  I get the error which I enclose the image when I run a backup for a computer virtual located on ESX1 via Vizioncore VrangerPro

  Error: Unable to connect to the destination. Error: gateway for esx1 ESX host. ___. _ has not been configured.

  If the same machine to migrate ESX2, it works fine.

  Now the only thing that has changed on the ESX1 is because we have forgotten the root password, we had to restart the ESX1 to reset the password so that I can PuTTY in the cosole.

  Everything else works fine on ESX1. I checked in the configuration of routing and DNS, and they are exactly the same on ESX1 and ESX2.

  I can start and stop VMs on ESX1, migrate ESX2 etc.

  Looking at the picture the guy would be able to guide me in the right direction

  I'll be very grateful.

  OK, how do you reset the value of the gateway on ESX_1?  Maybe you just need to "trick" the connection vRanger thinking that it has been fixed, try to make the empty bridge, then set back.

  We vRanger connection but never seen this error, but the message may there is a value in a conf file that is not defined, and reset this value may reset these files?

  And in my experience, you cannot send them email, you have to call them.  They are much quicker to respond via the phone.

  I was also puzzled that you John.  Seems that they updated the technical note to change the registry now whereas previously it was just the config file.  That article I linked to the links now to: http://helpx.adobe.com/dreamweaver/kb/restore-preferences-dreamweaver-cs4-cs5.html .  They tell you to remove the config but now on Windows 7 they say more is stored in the registry.

  TX, try to delete the folder without having to edit the registry, restart DW and see if that helps.  If this isn't the case, you may need to change. Personally I use Mac for many years and the last time I actually read the article it was remove the folder only.

  1. When you try to save files?
  2. are you unable to make changes to only the files in the C drive or the discs?

  Try these steps and see if it solves the problem:

  Step 1: Create a new user account and see if you can save files using this account.
