Errors in compilation of data model

Hi, in Business Modeler of Demantra after I compiled a new data model, the system shows me 8 errors, but I don't know why, because I did, everything is perfect. Even the default model example of data of the test instance has 9 errors after compiling. What is the problem?
Here are some of the errors:

Name object object type

APPROC_ACCEPT_OPTIMIZATION | PROCEDURE
APPROC_BLE_ACTUALS_LY | PROCEDURE
APPROC_MAINTAIN_TERR_RETAILER | PROCEDURE

Thank you.

Hello

In Demantra, objects of database (including procedures) are based on the seeded by default data model.

By creating a new data model, procedures to form dynamically according to the hierarchies defined by you during the stage of the "data model".

Then whenever a new data model is created him in place procedures gets changed which may not match with the procedure by default and maybe out error when compiling.

Hope that I addressed your query.

Kind regards
Shekhar

  • -You also get an invalid identifier error when executing this query sql for a data model, but not in TOAD/SQL Developer?

    Hello OTN.

I don't understand why my sql query will pass by in the data model of the BI Publisher. I created a new data model, chose the data source and type of Standard SQL = SQL. I tried several databases and all the same error in BI Publisher, but the application works well in TOAD / SQL Developer. So, I think it might be something with my case so I'm tender hand to you to try and let me know if you get the same result as me.

    The query is:

    SELECT to_char (to_date ('15-' |)) TO_CHAR(:P_MONTH) | » -'|| (To_char(:P_YEAR), "YYYY-DD-MONTH") - 90, "YYYYMM") as yrmth FROM DUAL

    Values of the variable:

    : P_MONTH = APRIL

    : P_YEAR = 2015

I tried multiple variations and not had much luck. Here are the other options I've tried:

    WITH DATES AS

    (

    Select TO_NUMBER (decode (: P_MONTH, 'JANUARY', '01',))

    'FEBRUARY', '02',.

    'MARCH', '03'.

    'APRIL', '04'

    'MAY', '05'.

    'JUNE', '06'.

    'JULY', '07',.

    'AUGUST', '08'.

    'SEPTEMBER', '09'.

    'OCTOBER', '10',.

    'NOVEMBER', '11'.

    "DECEMBER", "12."

    '01')) as mth_nbr

    of the double

    )

    SELECT to_char (to_date ('15-' |)) MTH_NBR | » -'|| (TO_CHAR(:P_YEAR), 'DD-MM-YYYY') - 90, "YYYYMM")

    OF DATES

    SELECT to_char (to_date ('15-' |: P_MONTH |)) » -'|| ((: P_YEAR, 'MONTH-DD-YYYY')-90, "YYYYMM") as yrmth FROM DUAL

I'm running out of ideas and I don't know why it does not work. If anyone has any suggestions or ideas, please let me know. I always mark answers correct and useful in my thread and I appreciate all your help.

    Best regards

    -Konrad

So I thought to it. It seems that there is a bug/lag between the guest screen that appears when you enter SQL in the data model and parameter values, to at model/value data.

Here's how I solved my problem.

I have created a new data model and first created all my settings required in the data model (including the default values without quotes, i.e. APRIL instead "Of APRIL") and then saved.

Then I stuck my sql query in the data model and when I clicked ok, I entered my string values in the message box with single quotes (i.e. "in APRIL' instead of APRIL)

After entering the values of string with single quotes in the dialog box, I was able to retrieve the columns in the data model and save.

In the data tab, is no longer, I had to enter the values in single quotes, but entered values normally instead, and the code worked.

It seems the box prompted to bind the values of the variables when the SQL text in a data model expects strings to be wrapped in single quotes, but no where else. It's a big headache for me, but I'm glad that I solved it, and I hope this can be of help to other institutions.

    See you soon.

  • Oracle SQL Developer Data Modeler start error

    Hi all

I just downloaded Oracle SQL Developer Data Modeling (2.0.0.57.0) [released July 1, 2009] by selecting the option ' Oracle SQL Developer Data Modeler for Windows (this zip file contains the JRE).

After that I installed the same and tried to start clicking on datamodeler.exe, I get the following error message

"Failed to create an instance of the JVM on the path:... \jdk\jre\bin\client\jvm.dll.

On the same machine, I can successfully run the SQL Oracle program without error. My machine is having Windows XP Professional SP3.

Any ideas? If there is a problem with Java, that of the Oracle SQL Developer should also not run. But as I said it runs with any error, but the Oracle SQL Developer Data Modeler gives the above error.

    Kind regards

    Hey Jawad,

you wrote you have 960 MB of RAM - how did you do a test with 1.5 MB of RAM and 2 MB of RAM?
No doubt this is a problem of memory - memory change in the datamodeler.conf file option:
    -There 'AddVMOption-Xmx768M"by default; to take
-"AddVMOption-Xmx512M" or never, making it suitable for your configuration - you can check the available free memory first.

  • Data model (error: not a valid month)

    Hi all

I develop a report of BI Publisher using data model where I FastInventory range date as start date and end Date. When I try to run the report I get the error as

    ORA-01843: not one month valid
    ORA-06512: at line 3 level

In my default package, at the beginning of the model, I said start date and end date of. In the report, for date settings start date and end, I've given parameter as date type and date in the form MM/DD/YYYY format.

The same report runs and if I use the model type of data as a sql query. But if I use the data model, I get the above error. I need to put the report using the data model. I can provide my data structure if necessary.

    Could someone help me?

    Thanks in advance...

    In case you haven't, try:

    AND trunc (NPP. NOTE_TIMESTAMP) BETWEEN to_date (: p_start_date, ' DD/MM/YYYY') AND to_date (: p_end_date, ' MM/DD/YYYY ' ")

    Hello

I am developing a revision update for my app BB10 stunts and I use a data model to pull in the elements of the application do not forget; the only problem I encounter is that I can't get the data model of the group work so that I can arrange the items by the first character instead the data are currently presented as Z - A, even if I could get it to display in A - Z would be enough, but what I am looking to achieve is to get the model to display in A - Z and then sort by the first character, while a header for each letter is displayed.

Try to add in constructor (after a call to setGrouping):

    key<>
    m_model-> setSortingKeys (keys);

May require alterations, I have not tried this compilation.

  • Create column for a YEAR on the front-end or Data Modeler?

You want to create a column of CDA in the Data Modeler or the front-end server. In the Data Modeler, the CDA is summarized by date opposed to the month which is a very large number. On the front, it gives an error of invalid syntax when you use date (expr, time_period).

The question seems to be a corrupt hierarchy of the time Dimension. It's working now.

  • [SOLVED] Export Oracle SQL Data Modeler is missing a PRIMARY KEY on the DDL script

I use data 4.1.888 maker to create an ER diagram and generate a DDL her script.

The diagram contains more than 40 paintings, most of them have a primary key defined.

For some reason any there is a table that has a primary key defined, but which is ignored when I export the model to a DDL script.

It is the "wrong" key (even if it is checked that it is not found on the generated DDL script):

    4faS5.png

This is where the key is set:

    O5mPb.png

And it is the preview of the DDL (Yes, primary key up there shows):

    SrwMu.png

This is what happens if I try to generate the DDL for just this (still not generated primary key) table:

    MljUm.png

Has anyone had the same problem? Any ideas on how to solve it?

There is no error in the log file, but when I run the generated DDL script there, and then I realized that I was doing something wrong:

The table MEMBERS had a mandatory foreign key from another table, which in turn had a mandatory key against MEMBERS himself.

So even if I could generate this primary key on members myself, and then run the the constraint definition that returned an error on the DDL script, I could not perform an insert operation on any of these two tables because of the constraint.

I revised my design and realized relationships was not mandatory. I unchecked the mandatory box on the definition of the constraint and everything went well.

I could reproduce the problem and the solution on a diagram with only two tables, so I'm sure that's it.

Anyway, the Data Modeler is "a failed" silently in this kind of situation. It should be fairly obvious to an experienced designer that I was doing something wrong, but it is not so obvious when you deal with dozens of tables and all their relations and this is your first time using the Modeler.

    Thanks for your reply :-)

  • V4.1.1.887 Data Modeler - 8 opens and displays only the areas of my design of the file

Yesterday I was working in my design of the database with data v4.1.1.887 maker and then saved work in file and closed the application.

And today, something bad happened, the application opens my design but only displays a list of the areas that I created for my design.

I can't display in the Explorer window of my: logic model, structured data types that I created, process and business information model diagrams.

I migrated to v4.1.1.888 Data Modeler and the problem persists, then looked at the previous issues resolved in the forum and found an answer to a similar case of problem

4.0EA2 (v4.0.0.820) Data Modeler after accepting migration from previous installation of v3.3.0.747 DM preferences settings.

So I deleted the files preferences (I use Windows Vista) C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Oracle SQL Developer data Modeler\system4.0.0.887 and 8, but the problem persists there.

I also looked at the directory of the files that make up my design, and the size and the number of them seem to be without significant alteration I looked a few days ago.

Can give me a solution to this problem?

    Hi David,

After some research and testing, I finally solved the problem. I did the following:

I deleted the text value from my memory of java in the java Control Panel of windows,

    I deleted the 4.1.1. C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\datamodeler\4.1.1 carpet

I changed the memory to-Xmx2048m in datamodeler.conf in the datamodeler\datamodeler\bin folder

then tried to start the Data Modeler but never value began, then reduced to-Xmx1024m and he began

and not migrated preferences the next time I opened the Data Modeler and set preferences with utf-8 (I noticed it comes by default with coding cirillic)

I closed and restarted datamodeler the external newspaper and made settings worked very well.

Then I started to test with 3 versions of my design work for this month, their sizes are 5MB, 10MB, 10.1 MB the recent

I opened and closed each oldest works to the latest and the oldest two worked fine without error in the external journal.

However, the recent open all the drawings but I found an opening in the external log error:

I checked the Objects.local file and it's there. then I closed the design without saving changes and ended Datamodeler application.

Then I opened the Objects.local with Notepad ++ and I found and structure XML and the data that I wrote in my family business contact section has disappeared from the design

I restarted Datamodeler opened and closed my recent design and that article accompanied by white, the datamodeler clos

Search the file and noted increased its size 153 MB so she tried to open it with notepad ++ but it crashed.

So I compared the previous Objects.local files and they are content equal and I did not modify this related part and the IDS are the same.

I then removed the big Objects.local bad and replaced it with the previous version of the file and then started to Datamodeler

and my recent design opens and closes fine without errors in the external journal.

I think your application when open a file and found a critical error Stops to load the file and reports the external newspaper but if a non-critical error

It displays the design and the log window does not show something goes wrong, in my case, I was not aware of this.

    Kind regards

    Julio.

  • SEVERE: Exception initialization 'oracle.dbtools.crest.fcp.DataModelerAddin' extension ' Oracle SQL Developer Data Modeling

After some testing today with a new installation and plugin subversion in the latest edition of data Modeler this error happens with every start of the tool.

Have removed and unzipped the installation once again without changing the error.

After that, I started with another user on my computer, it the error does not occur.

Is there a system folder to remove the configuration of my personal like jdeveloper and sql developer?

I lose the most important features, for example. have no browser and cannot open a design.

    Hi Torsten,

Thanks for reporting the problem. I logged a bug.

You can view together as "list of system types" directory to "preference > Data Modeler"-probably no longer exists. I guess that the setting for this directory is empty when you start SQL Dev as a different user.

  • Problems with the debugger in Data Modeler Beta DDL Custom Transformation Scripts

    Hello

I use Oracle SQL Data model Beta 4.1.0.866.

Currently, I am working on a project to generate the models in PHP for our relational database models MVC framework. Some settings must be entered from the user,

so, I'm importing Java classes for JOptionPane in the Transformation of the customized with DDL Scripts

    var ji = new JavaImporter(java.io, java.lang, javax.swing, java.util);

I can use these classes with no problems, but when I want to use the debugger, it cancels the execution with this error message:

    debugger_data_modeler.PNG

Is this a bug or am I missing something here?

And would it not possible and even preferable to processing entirely in Java instead of JavaScript scripts?

    Hello

    Try it following the syntax:

    var ji = new JavaImporter(java.io, java.lang, Packages.javax.swing, java.util);

And would it not possible and even preferable to processing entirely in Java instead of JavaScript scripts?

Well, it's not on the use of JavaScript, it's scripts in Java Platform - JSR 223 https://www.jcp.org/en/jsr/detail?id=223

So if you have a JSR 223 engine of script in the JAVA virtual machine you can use your scripting language. We simply provide a setting where you can put your scripts to do something useful.

We don't know in advance what language will be used. JavaScript engine is included in Java6 and Java7 so this is the reason why our examples are in JavaScript.

Using Java instead of JavaScript don't make the job easier, look at the part of import here - Re: impossible to cast objects in the Script SQL DM 4.0 Transformation

  • How to create Spatial indexes in SQL Developer Data Modeler 4

    Hello

What is the procedure to create a Spatial index in SDDM v4? I found myself at an impasse because of the following problems:

    (1) retro-engineering rate the spatial index, then I need to add them manually.

    (2) adding an index does not allow me to check the 'spatial', and does not allow me to add the sdo_geometry column in the index definition.

    (3) for the registration of the spatial properties for a table, I can not choose the name of the Spatial Index.

I came across an old post (Data Modeler - cannot create a spatial index), but this post is no longer valid because SDDM V4 does not allow me to create an index without columns (definition of the incomplete index).

    Help is appreciated,

    Kind regards

    Richard.

    Hi Richard,

Thanks for your update.  I'm scared, I was assuming you were using the stand alone rather than SQL Developer Data Modeler.

I tried using SQL Developer 4.1.0.18.37 (ai2) using a thin connection and got the ClassCastException you have found.

But when I used ai2 autonomous, maker of data using the same login details 'Advanced', it worked OK and imported from the spatial index.

(I'm puzzled as to why these two seem to behave differently, as this is the version ai2 data integrated with SQL Developer ai2 maker).

I then plugged and reverse engineering the same tables (yet) in a new model.

Funny is that there is no error in the external journal this time, but the spatial properties are still not retroconcues correctly.

Is it possible that you have not set the option to import the spatial properties?  I expect that the spatial properties would be imported or that the error should be registered.

SQL Developer ai2 imported properly the spatial properties and the spatial index, when I used a basic connection and specified host, port, and SID or Service name.

Another issue: SQL Developer relies on a certain JDK / JDBC library?

Any Java JDK 1.8 should be good.

  • Oracle SQL Developer Data Modeler 4.1 problem

    Hello:

I m trying to use the new version 4.1 (BETA) of Datamodeler, but I have a problem at the time wherever I run the program.

When I work the datamodeler.exe the console show me:

    UIDefaults.getUI () failed: no class ComponentUI for: oracle.ide.controls.StatusBarControl$ JDevStatusBar [, 0,0, 0 x 0, invalid...]

    Can you help me?

    Thank you.

    Hello

Data Modeler 4.1 requires Java 1.8 can run correctly.

If you try to run Data Modeler 4.1 with Java 1.7 it gets stuck in "Save the Extensions", and this error in the console log.

When you try to start with Java 1.7 it normally gives a "JDK Version not supported" warning, which identifies the file that needs to be updated to refer to a jdk Java 1.8.

Under Windows, this will normally be C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\datamodeler\4.1.0.866\product.conf,

But if you start from the console using the datamodeler64.exe it will use the file

    C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\datamodeler64\4.1.0.866\product.conf instead.

You can change this file.  Alternatively, if you delete the file, it should display the dialog box asking for the location of the JDK next time.

  • Developer SQL with Java 1.6.0_27 3.0.04 and Data Modeler 3.3.1.748

I can't generate the first DOF or generate DDL set

    I see no error a...\extensions\oracle.datamodeler\log\datamodeler.log

I can't even generate a single DDL to one with only two simple attributes and a PK

    I can't upgrade to 4.x, I need to keep stuck to 3.x

Extension of model data 3.3 is targeted for SQL Developer 3.2. You can download the standalone Data Modeler 3.3 If you insist on 3.3 or pick up the latest version of DM - 4.0.2

  • Data Modeler does not connect to SQL Server database

I click connect on New / select connection to the base and nothing happens.  No connection is added to the list of connection in the Import Wizard dialog box (file-> import-> Oracle Designer model) so I can't go forward with the wizard and I can't connect to my SQL Server DB.

The connection works very well according to the test and to connect buttons on the New / select connection to the base dialogue.  Initially, there was errors, reported originally by Test and Connect, but those that have been resolved with minor changes to the URL JDBC and CLASSPATH for jtds.

Is there a Data Modeler error log which could give an overview of what's going on?  Everyone knows this?

    SQL Server 2008

    JTDS 1.3.1 and 1.2.8

    Data Modeler 4.0.0.825

    Thank you.

    Hello

No connection is added to the list of connection in the dialog box Import Wizard (file-> import-> Oracle Designer model)

This path is for the import of the Oracle Designer repository that resides on the Oracle database as well as the Oracle connections are listed here.

You must use "file > import > data dictionary.
