eText model

Hello

I'm designing model eText, my CSV file output.

This is the length of the fields

position length format data pad reviews

BankName alpha and Royal Bank of Canada 1 360

361 240 alpha address 220 St Albert

My question is if the length of the data is only 20 characters, how to remove the spaces so that this next field appears next to fields first as

Royal Bank of Canada, 220 Albert Street

Thank you

In this case, you cannot use the eText of fixed type model. Try to use the model of eText based delimiter.

    Hello

I use BEEP Office version 10.1.3.4, I developed an example of etext model and I have the xml data. I want to see the format of EFT file being generated. I am trying to use Model Viewer that is installed with the desktop version to load the model and data. But when I try to locate the template using Browse in the Model Viewer option, I'm not able to see the model of etext created in my directory. The files are still present in this directory. Only problem is that I am not able to see using Browse option.

Anyone of you guys faced the same question. Please enlighten me. Also is there others to test the etext models!

    Thank you
    PG.

    Hi PG,.

Have you tried selecting your working directory (where your templates/XMLs are) in the option "Browse"? I think that the option requires that the directory not files...

  • How I saw a model etext?

I'm doing research on the features of etext. I found some examples of models in my BI directory (C:\Program Files\Oracle\BI Publisher\BI editor Desktop\samples\eText models). I opened the .rtf in word and load the XML file, but when I saw it, all I see is the template itself. We use 5.6.3 in EBS. How can I see what looks like real text output.

If someone is willing to share a set of simple files (.rtf, .txt, .xml), I'd appreciate it.

    Thank you.

I know that you can see the output of models etext txt using the word plugin. Model Viewer is the only thing that will help you here.
I'm curious to know how you installed the word plugin. As far as I know, it comes with the desktop version of BI Publisher, if you don't have it I highly recommend to download and install it. There are many other models docs and help of sample accompanying him to help in the development.

  • eText output still a Virgin!

I can't get my model eText to produce anything. I checked the data are good XML. It is very basic - just the default structure when you set the data model to NOT "include the tag list group. In other words, my XML data are a series of G_1 groups, with fields inside, under the default XML, DATA_DS element.

I can't understand what to put in the LEVEL and NEW RECORDING OF DATA fields in the eText model to make certain registers of fixed width of output text. I tried all combinations of DATA_DS and G1 in all areas. In the DATA column, I have all my domain names, as copied exactly from the XML file.

I tried my models in both the BEEP server and Viewer model, issuing of any errors.

    Why is it so difficult?

can you send me your sample xml I'll try on my end... Email:[email protected]

  • TO_CHAR does not work in the outgoing model eText

    Hello

I build a model out eText for payments in EBS R12 using BI Publisher plugin (rtf file) and try to use the to_char fn as follows:

    TO_CHAR (TO_NUMBER(PaymentAmount/value), '00000000000000000.00')

I also tried without the to_number IE

to_char(PaymentAmount/value,'00000000000000000.00'), but the output is always just the number that appears in the xml document.

for example if the PaymentAmount in the xml file is 120, I want it shown in the output rtf as 00000000000000120.00

    any suggestions?
    Thank you.

    Hello

I'm sorry that I have no experience with the eText. Seems that your page layout is not regular style RTF or XSLT!

Maybe it's a help to you:
    http://docs.Oracle.com/CD/E10091_01/doc/BIP.1013/b40017/T421739T481436.htm#xdo_format_column

In the plain XSLT, you can use the format-number integrated so funtion: http://www.w3schools.com/xsl/func_formatnumber.asp

Maybe it helps. Otherwise maybe you can post an excerpt of your layout template?

    Kind regards

  • Ask the CLOB and out of model xml - EBS R12.1.3

    Hi all

Due to a limitation in the module IBY, we are unable to produce a file for the receivables credit institutions.

The data that we want are stored in the table IBY_XML_ONLINE_FCI_1_0_V via a CLOB. There is a TRXNMID column that we would then have to query to get the good deal.

Our thoughts are now report(XDODTEXE style) we create an xml model, so they can run a simultaneous program and generate a file according to the model of etext.

We have the required format of installation already as a model of etext.

Is there a way to create the definition of data, so it can pickup the column / the CLOB field and have the extext generates output?

Or does anyone know a better way to do this?

    See you soon,.

Focus on the following document on how to treat the CLOB data:
