  I have a laptop Toshiba Satellite M40X-126 with a super multi drive installed. I have a problem with writing to DVD-RAM. Sometimes, when I try to write data to a DVD-RAM disc, the DVD player makes a strange noise, as if the mechanic of material is blocked inside the car.   I have the same drive, but it works without problem. I know that DVD-RAM media are expensive, but all I can suggest is you buy another provider and check if it will happen again.

  (2) the hard drive firmware update OR

  (3) send the computer to service center

  Obviously I don't want to waste time, because I use this computer for work. Do you know what could be the problem and what to do better to fix?

  I have Toshiba Satellite A100-784 with Intel PRO Wireless 3945ABG wireless adapter.
  Today I was working with my friend on some project connected on his wifi sharing internet connection on Toshiba Satellite A100-510.
  After a while I lose the internet connection and I see that this blue icon is no longer in the test system.

  I try to use Toshiba ConfigFree but it was impossible to open, so I try to open the network connection of the control panel and after a period of time the network connection has been accessible and I saw that this network adapter is disabled. I try to activate three times but nothing.

  After rebooting, everything was ok and wireless adapter is turned on and ready to use for the next 10 or 15 minutes.

  HM, sounds like a very boring and weird problem. Have you tried to reinstall your system or at least a linux live CD to see if the problem still occurs if you start a different operating systems?

  If you didn t tried, then it would be useful. Maybe just a problem of software it s. But if so and the problem doesn´t want to go further, then you have a huge problem and your next step will be to put your machine to an authorized service partner. Why?

  Because if so, then you would have probably a hardware problem and you won´t be able to fix it yourself. The explanation is pretty simple and easy...

  My B570 seems to have developed a strange problem.

• Lost my admin previlages...

  Due to a problem, I removed the users in property of c drive (where my operating system installed) and then in the Security tab (ex.system, authenticated users, admin etc all including mine also)

  Now the problem I put is I can't do anything. I'm not able to access the c drive. All services are stopped. Cmd even also not working not not as administrator

  I tried now

  1 adding users but can't add says you don't have permission

  2 takeown command but not resolved. I m not able to run cmd as an admin

  If I understand you correctly, then these are your problems:
