Everytime I open FF a little box opens w / a 2 in it?

I opened FF a very small box with a number 2 and an ok button opens the gray of the screen you must click ok to continue once you pass the pages box comes back and you have to click on it again. This appears on any page I'm on that began today, I ran antivirus and all is well. I even reinstalled FF and always there, I don't know what to do?

Start Firefox in Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions of the origin of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > appearance/themes).

If this does not work in mode without failure, then disable all extensions and then try to find out who is the cause by allowing both the problem reappears.

  • Choose "Disable all add-ons" on issues to troubleshoot Firefox in Safe Mode to set window to disable all extensions.
  • Close and restart Firefox after each change through "file > exit ' (Mac: ' Firefox > leave";) Linux: "file > exit ')

In Firefox 4, you can use one of them to start in the questions to troubleshoot Firefox in Safe Mode:

  • Help > restart with disabled modules
  • Hold down the SHIFT key while double-clicking the shortcut from the desktop Firefox (Windows)

Everytime I open Firefox 29.0.1 I Get the screen crash report I want to restore the tabs, as far as I know that Firefox crashed. This started after I upgraded to Ver 29.0.1

Rather than do a uninstall complete, you can try this:

    Create a new Firefox profile

A new profile will be your plugins installed by system (for example, Flash) and extensions (e.g., security suite toolbars), but no themes, other extensions or other customizations. It should also have databases of completely fresh settings and cool a cache folder.

Out of Firefox and start in the profile using Start Manager > Search box (or run):

    firefox.exe -P

Any time want to switch profiles, exit Firefox and return to this dialog box.

Click on the button create a profile. I recommend using the default location suggested, in other words, do not click the button to choose a different folder. Then launch Firefox in the new profile that you have created.

If you browse around, exit, reboot, etc, the problem continues?

When you return to the Profile Manager to return to your normal profile, you might be tempted to use the button to delete the profile. It's a little too easy to accidentally delete your 'real' profile, so I recommend you to resist the temptation. If you don't want to clean up later, I suggest to make a backup of all your profiles first in case something go wrong.

  • Set the folder to display the update to display everytime I open.

I would like to customize it so that it remains the same, each folder has different uses. I went to the options when I open and you can check out them from there, but restarts when I close and I have to repeat over the years on...

I see no reason why it cannot be saved in this specific folder or in general

Here's how to change the default template for a folder:http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/70819-windows-explorer-folder-view-settings.html.  Default behavior is to select the model based on the first type of file placed in the folder (you must choose something).  Vista sets thefolder type template according to what are the types of files in the window and the settings display window Explorer. This will show you how to resetthe Windows Explorer folder view settings, disable Automatic folder Type discovery and increase theview of the folder cache to have Vista don't forget display settings, model of file type, size, or position of a specific window for when it was still closed to the location of specific path.

It does not work with the Sub record under, Open with, open in a new tab (Internet Explorer), etc... dialog windows of type through the goodFile menu bar item. These don't seem to be able to have their size or their position to recall. For the latter, you can use the free programhttp://autosizer.en.softonic.com/to resize them.

Here is another article on how to modify the columns in Windows Explorer and sort in Vista:http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/108665-column-customize.html.  This will show you how Add, Remove, move, change the widthand change the sort order of the columns in Windows Explorer in the way that you want.

Here is another article on how to change the display of the default folders in Vista (but she argues, it is not a perfect solution and can revert to the previous behavior is not as good as the two prior links provided:http://news.cnet.com/8301-13880_3-10019957-68.html.)

NOTE: Saving views to individual files is extremely limited - this very nice works only for the folder models by default so that you may have to make choices and compromises.

I hope this helps in your situation.

  • How can I stop the ZenMate of opening a tab "Welcome to ZenMate" asking me to activate ZenMate everytime I open my browser?

Everytime I open Firefox a second tab opens by asking that I activate ZenMate of ZenMate. Given that I have never activated, it does not appear on the list of installed programs in Control Panel. I don't want to install it and do not want to be disturbed by this tab, which is the active tab when Firefox is opened. If I remove whatever it is at the origin tab to open, is there something else that needs to be deleted to remove completely traces of ZenMate?

Thanks for sharing your browser configuration data. He appears next to your question under Question details > Details of the system more.

There is an extension of Zenmate, and it is most likely the culprit. You can disable it and perhaps remove page modules. Either:

    • CTRL + SHIFT + a
    • "3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Add-ons

In the left column, click Extensions. Then, you can find it on the right and clear- or perhaps to remove it. If there is no button Delete, there should be an uninstall program in the control panel (or elsewhere).

Often, a link will appear above at least an extension disabled/removed to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links in the last step.

    A little luck?

  • Everytime I open Firefox I get a message: "an attempt to change your home page has been blocked" and firefox crashes

Everytime I open Firefox I get a message: "an attempt to change your home page has been blocked" and firefox crashes.
I unintalled (on my MAC) and reinstalled twice. Makes no difference. Any suggestions?

Could you try starting Firefox in Safe Mode? It is a standard diagnostic tool to disable some advanced features of Firefox and extensions. More info: questions to troubleshoot Firefox in Safe Mode.

Does not work if Firefox: Hold down the option key when starting Firefox.

If Firefox is running: You can restart Firefox in Mode safe mode using either:

    • button "3-bar" menu > "?" button > restart with disabled modules
    • Help menu > restart with disabled modules

    and OK reboot.

Two scenarios: A small dialog box should appear. Click on 'Start mode safe' (not update).

    Any improvement?

While you are in Mode without failure, you could copy a list of your extensions and paste them into an answer? The best place for this is the support information page - either:

    • button "3-bar" menu > "?" button > troubleshooting information
    • (menu bar) Help > troubleshooting information
    • type or paste everything: in the address bar and press Enter

Scroll down to the Extensions section, and then select from there until the end of the following table with the mouse and copy. Then paste into a response. It may seem a bit messy but don't worry, we're used to it.

I'm under Microsft Office Professional 2007 on my 64-bit machine... and everytime I open Outlook, the Windows Setup program opens a dialoguie box and try to configure Outlook - almost as if it is trying to reinstall the program.  This ONLY happens with Outlook - not with any of the other applications of the Office Suite.  And it happens EVERYTIME I open Outlook program.  Boring!

The message says "Please wait while Windows configures Microsoft Office Professional 2007".

Someone at - it met this before... and how can I stop this?

Thanks for your suggestions you may have.

    Hi guys,.

Each time Office startup program and said it will take to set up usually means missing something, either a plugin or any other party in the register but not actually exists.  First of all, go to programs/features and select desktop or standalone Outlook suite.  Click Repair or click Change/Uninstal (if available), but choose repair if it appears on the next page.  This may fix the problem.

Also try Windows Installer Clean Up tool to remove programs that you know for sure are no longer on the system

Subscription of Acrobat has stopped working, everytime I open it it goes directly to the purchase page

    Hi Poepholl,

I checked your account and nothing seems to be broken with your Acrobat Pro subscription. You launch Acrobat on your desktop? If, for any reason, your subscription returned to the mode of trial, I expect that you would be presented with the dialog of the trial. In this dialog box, you should be able to click on the license for the software, then log in with your Adobe ID and password. If this isn't the case, please let us know.
