  If you use original recovery disks it will restore the computer to its orignal configuration, including Vista.  You can't get recovery for the computer disks that include Win 7.  You will need to purchase a full copy of Windows.  You need to make sure that you can find all the drivers for Win 7.

  Hmm. I thought you can order the recovery CD Toshiba of the ASP in your country but if the series of laptop it is too old it would not be possible.

  However, you can also install the Windows operating system by using the Microsoft CD and then you could install the driver of Toshiba of the Toshiba driver page.

  I just ordered one for my laptop recovery disk, but I realized after the command I typed the serial number with an incorrect character. The product was OK. This may affect or not I get the correct recovery disk? I'm a little freaked out.

  So, I ordered a new set of recovery disks for my (out of warranty) Pavilion p6654y, I received a confirmation email and a CSO number. For about 2 weeks I got the confirmation of order, but records have not delivered. Also, I checked with my Bank and the money for the purchase has not yet released. I checked HP incident status page to see what was going on and he told me "contact HP".
