  We have recently updated Apex 5.0.1 bug tracking application. Since then users complain to pass that their session expired error message and need to re-login, although they work constantly with the application and have not been idle. The behavior is not reproducible on demand. The application property 'Session duration in seconds Maximum' is set to dry 28800 (8 hrs), "Maximum Session Idle Time in Seconds" is set to 10800 seconds (3 hours). Neither value is reached, the problem sometimes happens also after working with the app for a few minutes only. The authorization scheme used by the application is set to "Invalid Session name of the procedure" pointing to a procedure that doesn't include that of:

  I guess b type entries are created during a timeout values is reached, but why don't Apex sometimes think that the sessions are invalid / expired, even if they are still valid and product entries of type has?

  Someone has any advice on how to better analyze this problem? Because it cannot be replicated on demand, preferably a mechanism of the Protocol would be necessary which can be analyzed for example every day.

  No one can describe the algorithm that apex is used to determine that a session is valid or point to the documentation?

  Solution: the problem was caused by the browser asking favicon.ico when you open a file in a new browser window/tab instead of download. In our production environment, we use an Apache Web server as a frontend for Glassfish. In the Apache conf files a rewriting rule has been defined that redirect each attempt to a file in the root of the document to the login page of our Apex application. This of course also applied to favicon.ico, then all requests for this file invalidated the session of the Apex. After changing the configuration so that redirected requests for favicon.ico is no longer the problem disappeared.

  My database is Exadata machine. 11.2
  These days, we met a case, it's two sessions is always blocked by the other. I get this info from v$ session blocking_session.
  For examle, the information looks like

  and as you know there are a lot of other sessions are blocked by sid 1.
  
  In lookiing upwards of v$ sql, I got the SQL for these 2 sessions.

  These aren't waiting for line lock (TX Enqueue waits). These are expectations about the dictionary cache - for example to prevent the DDL (ALTER, COMPILE, CREATE etc.) running while DML is still ongoing. This ensures that dependencies are maintained.

  (if you have a transaction that retrieves 4 columns in a table and another session adds or deletes a column, while the transaction is in progress? how oracle would ensure that the "structure" of the table remains consistent? the DOF is prevented and waits for a lock on the library cache).

  The cache line is the data dictionary cache.

• potential problems with executable files using VISA

  Hi, I have a LV 2012 SP1 source code developed under Windows 7. The source code uses VISA for serial communication. I built from this source code executables that work without problems on a PC with Windows 7.
  Now I use Windows 8 and build the executables from the same source code, I have used before. However, when you use the new executables (under Windows 8) on the same PC with Windows 7 as before, I get an error in the communication of VISA.

  The error is: property node (arg 1) in .vi VISA set up a Serial Port (Instr)

  Once again: 1. executables built under Windows 7 work on a PC under Windows 7

  2. executables built under Windows 8 will not work on a Windows 7 PC (error VISA)

  Suggestions, which could be at the origin of this are most welcome.

  An EXE that uses the VISA must be the VISA installed runtime.  It is like not having not drivers for your program.  Create a Setup program using the similar project about how you made an EXE file.  Include the exe in the installation program and under additional installers choose the software that is required by the EXE.  This will usually include the runtime LabVIEW and VISA.  From 2013 the additional installers will try to predict the software needed by the EXE.

  I use Pro 8.1 and I'm sorry but stopping and restarting do NOT appear when connected via a RDP session and you click on the key Windows + X (or right click on Start).  The options you get are (ironically) "stop or d├⌐connexion" > "Disconnect" or "disconnect".

• Get this file error: "cannot complete request because that is not a valid photoshop document." Comp crashed during the session of photoshop. Can I recover my file broken?

  Title says it all really... I was working on a file and my computer blue projected (I need to fix my computer) but anyway... I opened the file and photoshop gave me an error saying that it is not a document not valid PS.

  There is in any CASE or anyone can recover my file? Even a flat version would suffice at this stage, but prefer the layers as there are many of them... Theres something in the file got to be so good? I mean the 10 MB file... I can't just open it from my computer to restart after the first screen blue/crash

  I downloaded on my site if anyone knows how to recover the file, or if you know a tutorial of recovery that I could follow I could really use advice or the hands on help!

  I tried to run through a recovery of SDB program, but he would not accept the file... What should I do? Theres always loads data in the file if it has 10 MB in it right?

  You can have 10 MB of truncated pixels and other assorted pieces of junk.

  Either way, 10 MB isn't a large amount of data.  The raw pictures of one of my cameras come at least 4 times that.

  You have installed the Catalyst 9.7 driver. Don't know that this driver doesn't have protection against overheating and could destroy your graphics card?
  I would recommend so install the latest driver of display on the Toshiba site. These drivers are pre-tested on your laptop.

  In addition, I would try to update the BIOS. AFAIK some A200 models are special BIOS available for XP and Vista version.
  Check and update the BIOS!
